Run! was all that ran through the mind of a female who ran footless across the clearing. Her breath was hard and visible in the cold air. The air around her smelled of fear. She looked behind her and saw nothing. She looked in front of her and saw a tall dark man. His eyes glowed red and she jumped a bit, stepping back.

Then Carmen woke up. She sat up in her bed, breathing hard and clutching her chest. She looked at her alarm clock...it was midnight. The same time she's been waking up for the past week. And because of the same dream as well. Carmen took a deep breath and tried to steady her breathing. "...why do I keep having that dream?" She asked herself quietly, climbing out the bed and slipping out of her room. She had a small apartment that housed only her. She yawned, grabbing a water bottle out of her fridge.

[It doesn't matter to me.]

Carmen looked at the time and sighed. It would still be a while before she had to get ready for school...couple hours at least. Carmen hated school with a passion, yet she managed to pass....barely. The teachers weren't exactly her 'friends' since people believed rumors spread by annoying little ******** that call themselves men. She drank the water and walked back to her room, her tail twitching lightly in annoyance. No way would she be able to fall back to sleep. She was too awake.
Carmen took her nightshirt off and put on an outfit that she could wear out. A t-shirt and a pair of skinny jeans (with a hole in the back, of course, so her tail wasn't trapped.). She watched herself in the mirror as she brushed her hair. Even brushing it, it still seemed like bed-head.

Carmen watched her clock for a while then her stomach growled angrily at her. She looked in her fridge...Nope..no food. Her pantry...out of instant ramen. "Dangit." She went back to her room and checked to see if she had enough money to grab a early breakfast. She smiled a bit, seeing she had just enough money.
Carmen left her house, locking the door behind her. She waved to one of her neighbors walking his dog and she walked down the stairs. Once outside she breathed in the fresh air. The distant smell of wood burning just made her hunger grow. She muttered at her stomach, telling it to be quiet. She walked to a little restaurant, knowing she could eat and kill time there until school started.

Carmen got to the restaurant and smiled a bit. All the food smelled real good. Her tail twitched lightly and she waited to be seated since there were some people in front of her. She put her hands in her pockets and waited patiently and quietly.

Carmen thanked her and sat down. She thought a moment. "I'd like a glass of milk please." She said politely. Her tail was laying next to her on the seat, the tip of it moving back and forth.

"White" She replied with a nod. She then smiled a bit. "The scrambled eggs and bacon please." She said. Carmen's stomach agreed and she looked a bit embarrassed, sure that Kaira heard.
