"Then we can go play casketball, then we can go to the maul, then we can watch a movie," she listed, tugging Rikki's hand further. They were in for a long day, because let's face it. Danny never lost energy.
She wanted to do something that was normal though. She was sick of only seeing twisted faces, bored student's in class. Seeing Rikki at night was nice, but she wanted to do something that normal teenagers did as she moved herself back into her daily life. It was done being mopey, and it was time to be normal. At least until nighttime came and the nightmares came back.
Danny tugged again, but said, "I mean unless you don't wanna." She hadn't even thought about Rikki's opinions. "... but you want to right?" She smiled her goofy smile with puppy dog eyes. Who could resist that?

Rikki laughed and nodded, turning her face away with a gentle hand so that he wouldn't look into those puppy dog eyes and give her everything she wanted without a second thought. Not that he planned on denying her any of the activities she wanted today. "That sounds good. I haven't played casketball in a while, actually." The exercise would make him feel better. When had he last run just to feel the burn of a good work out? It had been too long. He'd need to start doing that again.
He had picked up his pace a bit, now excited for their day, when a shimmering caught his eye. He stopped and picked up the little gold item and rolled it between his fingers, but he had no clue what it was. He looked a Danny with a frown, holding it out to her. "Any idea what this is?"

Danny looked in the direction that Rikki's hand prodded her, not sure what she was looking for. She wasn't aware that he was just trying to get her puppy eyes out of view. "What is it? I don't see any-"
When she turned back, he was eyeing something shiny and asking her what it was. Her hands immediately clasped around it and she rolled it around in her palm. She smiled rather brightly. It was blue and gold and shiny. "I dunno, but I'm keeping it!"

He laughed and shrugged. Not like he cared if she took it. It was just a little gold globe of nothingness, obviously, so it would just take up space somewhere in his room. He took her hand and lead her to the casketball court, getting really excited to play. He took off his hoodie as they entered the court and tossed it over the fence.
"One on one, or CORPSE?" He called over his shoulder as he made a beeline for the balls.

Danny tossed her own jacket off, throwing it next to his, but missing the fence, leaving her jacket floating towards the ground. Not that she noticed, she was already going to stand in the middle of the court while Rikki got the ball.
"CORPSE!" she said excitedly. Danny was actually pretty good at CORPSE. With one and one she usually got distracted ... soooo....

He grinned at her and shrugged. "Alright then. I'm going to win though." He took up a ball and dribbled it through his legs a few times and then made a fairly simple shot. He'd always be a fan of starting off slow and steady. The ball traveled around the rim and fell through the net for a fairly clean shot, and Rikki was grinning when he caught the rebound and tossed the ball to Danny. "Let's go, darkling."

Danny grinned as she got the ball and stuck out her tongue. "In your dreaaaams," she taunted.
She dribbled a few times and then arch her back in a shot, but it went sour and bounced off the rim. Shiiit that meant she had a C.
"Lucky first shot," she mumbled.

"No time for winning in my dreams. Too busy dreaming of you." He winked and caught the rebound. "It's not luck. It's pure skill." He practically skipped to a new spot and tried for a bank shot, but apparently getting too cocky was bad for his game, because it hit the rim and bounced right off.

Danny rolled her eyes and said, "Ha ha, very funny." The smile on her face revealed her pleased mien though.
She took her own shot, which bounced off just like Rikki's. "Jack we suck today, huh." Her tail twitched back and forth and she let out a laugh, as she chased the ball down. Once it was successfully in her grasp, she chucked it back in the reaper boil's direction. "Your turn!"

Rikki barely caught the ball, fumbling with it for a second. He tried to be quick, but he doubted there was any chance she hadn't seen him screw up. Still, what were long relationships if not comfortable with all clumsiness? ... Yeah. Rikki feigned confidence instead and took a jump shot, hollering as the net swished with the ball's passing.
"Nope. You're the only one sucking today."

Danny pouted, but it quickly broke into a smile. She just couldn't get mad at him in the middle of a casketball game. The fire demoness ran and grabbed the ball, eager to take her own shot of gloryyyy.
"No waaay," she moaned as it bounced off the backboard, then onto the rim and over to the grass. "Auuugh you suck you suck you suckkkk."

Rikki snatched the ball up from the grass and tried to set up a shot, but he felt it as the ball left his fingers - there was no way it was going to make it. Just as he thought, it slammed into the backboard and came careening back at him. He barely caught it.
"Auuuuuugh. That's an O."
