The feel of sand underneath his paws wasn't something that Rakuree was used to, nor the spray of the ocean. This leopard didn't often venture away from the grasslands and savanah. But he had decided, after cautious exploration, that he liked this strange place. It was much different from the area he considered his home, but different wasn't always bad! In fact it could be downright awesome!
When he had first seen the large body of water, he'd wasted no time in running up to it and dashing in, hoping for a drink. But... that didn't work out as planned, as no sooner had he dipped his face in than he'd pulled it out again, spitting and rubbing his tongue to the roof of his mouth in confusion. Salt? The water tasted of salt! He couldn't drink salted water! Backing out and shaking off his fur, he'd investigated the sandy beach, still puzzling over the salt water.
Now that was an interesting surface! After a few steps this way then that, and an experimental run down the beach, he made the determination that he very much liked this sand!

Leenah-Sesi sniffed the air around where she was walking. It smelt odd, nothing like the forrest that she liked to spend her time. Her newest travels had sent her to places where she had never even dreamed of. It was simply amazing how the world could be so different in areas. She looked out at the endless water. Never before had she seen something quite like it.
As she walked the shore she noticed some shells lying on the beach. She grinned as she picked one up with her paw and examined it. Than she say it down, only to find another one. Slowly she begun making a pile of shells. It wasn't long till she had a decent pile of shells. She stepped back and admired her work. All these pretties were hers. Maybe she could bring a couple with her and find someone to make her some sort of jewelry.
Maybe she could bring back a shell for each of her cubs! Though, she reminded herself that they weren't really cubs anymore. They were almost adults. She let out a sigh. It had been so long since she had seen them. She hoped that they were okay where ever they were.
She put six of the shells in a pouch that hung around her neck. Once they were safe she continued on her way. As she walked she noticed a green leopard running down the beach. A huge grin spread across her face. He seemed to enjoy himself. Her speed quickened as she approached him. "Hey there!" She called out with her usual gleefulness.

Hearing someone calling out, and not knowing if it was to him - though he hadn't seen anyone else around - or to another, Rakuree quickly put on the brakes, stopping as quick as he could in the sand, his paws digging up trenchs. But that was so interesting - ground had never acted that way when he stopped so suddenly before! - that instead of immediately turning around, he looked down at his feet. This stuff sure was interesting! He really liked the beach! Although he didn't know that's what the surface he'd been running on was called.
The sand examined and admired for its interesting properties, he finally turned around to face the voice he'd heard. Happily he spied a cheetah female on the sands, looking his way. A grin broke out over his face. Cheetahs!! Cheetahs were the best, they almost always liked to race at least once!
"Hello there!!!" he called out just as cheerfully as the female, and began to walk over.
She was wearing an interesting thing around her neck, and he couldn't help but let his blue eyes be drawn to it. "....Say, what's that around your neck? I've never seen someone wear something like that..." It might be rude, but he was easily distracted, and from the expression on his face, didn't mean any offense at the action of immediately putting a question to her. He was obviously just curious.
