[FIELD CLASS] Arts and Crafts - The Craftier Stuff (p2)

The Art room is tucked away in the corner - one way in and out, which is just how the teacher likes it. The classroom looks normal enough from the outside, with its standard door and numberplate (with an added addendum by the teacher, his name and the class title added on a piece of Muck Tape). The inside, however, looks like someone found all of the weird, eclectic stuff within a five mile radius, ate it, and then vomited it all up. The teacher has either completely lost his mind, or is trying way, way too hard. The cabinets that line the walls are partially filled with beginner art supplies: slime-based paints, earwax crayons, and...glitter, a thing so evil that it can be known by no other name.

The room scarecely changes, save for a slow depletion of art supplies and an occasional shift in decor. There is a bare spot where a safe once sat, which has since been moved to the goblin's office. Some of the students that attended an Arts and Crafts 101 session may recognize some of their artwork pinned to the walls or stacked on one of the many shelves. Others may find their work mysteriously missing.

There is no sign of the Arts and Crafts Professor, Zixil Braxton, but he seems to have left a sheet of paper tacked to the very first desk.

Aleria had heard, from a rampaging gnome, that "that blasted art teacher is having another class of his," and their curiosity had, in fact, been piqued.

They swished into the room in older clothes, a heavily patched coat with a vest, a loose and ruffly tiered skirt beneath it. They bent to sign it, long fingers wrapping around the pencil there, signing the name in strong, decisive letters.

They took a seat, waiting for the rest of the students to filter in.

King had been interested in attending the Arts and Crafts teacher's course since scarentines.He'd not really had the time since then with his integrating into the school and the trails. True, he was but a spectator yet it cut into school time in it's own way. So when he heard that as class was opening up, the wolfos grinned. He needed a class to fill his time anyway.

The classroom itself was... a bit overwhelming really. He hadn't been expecting color and glitter, (he suppressed a shudder). He'd managed to arrive early, and he was rather happy for it. Walking to the list he cocked his head as only one name was on it. A glance over his should and it matched. One student one name right? Filling in his own name He sniffed the air.

Gene showed up at the class in hopes that a little arts and crafts would help get her out of the whole "I got turned into a weapon but not really" funk. Because, well, crayons and paints and stuff were supposed to be fun, right? Totally. Seriously, who didn't like crayo-

Glitter.

She cringed, turned around, and left the classroom. No, she was not going to be getting art herpes today, thanks. She was almost to the exit of the school when she stumbled upon a few gnomes who were well over their advised cider intake. Doing an about face, Gene marched herself right back to the art classroom. Herpes was better than getting harassed by gnomes, in her opinion. At least you could get rid of the glitter without consequences.

Circe stumbled through the halls of Amityville pretty much in her own little world. Since the whole being left in a cave to die thing had happened she was kind of depressed. Then what had happened afterwards with one of her teammates Elle seemed to be worse. Without much thought she stumbled her way into the classroom. Arts and crafts? She perked up a bit. Sure she wasn't particularly artistic but maybe after this she would be! Or at least maybe she could be good enough to figure out how to do tattoo's. Oh that would make her life. She quickly found herself a spot.

Holy ******** s**t Arts and Crafts did there even NEED to be more of a post here for Pepin to talk about how much she was on this class like fat kid on cake?

NO.

Dancing in like she had to use the little ghoul's room, Pepin found herself a spot where all the earwax crayons were piled together in a drawer and sunk her hand in them. Tingles really. Oh right and she signed in during the course of that... somewhere.

Oh jack, why was Valentino in this class? He didn't have an artful bone in his body, however he did have a few artful bones in his lab.

Valentino wanted to work on making a neo-modern-Frankenstein monster and the best place to start was in an art class. Taking a seat by himself, he started to sketch out his future masterpiece.

There had been more trepidation about joining this class than drama. In theater, there was at least some practical use... but arts and crafts? Taryn had decided that she needed to branch out into the arts and have some Jackdamn fun for once. She needed it, what with the depressing mood Amityville had taken up. It was sure to keep going until class time, too. She didn't recognize anyone in the room, and so invited herself to sit down in an empty seat. Was she even going to need her notebooks...?

Arts and Crafts sounded like something that wouldn't be too stressful and should really be fun. Siddie was looking forward to this one. She'd made sure to wear old clothes, things she could get paint and glue on and not be upset about it; it had taken a little digging to find something, and she might have borrowed one of Sammy's old shirts, but she didn't think the zombie would mind. Much.

She signed the sheet before finding a spot to sit down.

Alexander wondered not for the first time why he was joining this class again. Arts and crafts didn't really appeal to him in any way shape or form but...well, other class's that he hadn't thought he'd like he'd actually enjoyed so maybe this one would be like that as well.

Plus he and Yin had decided it was probably time they got back out there, you know, around other people or some nonsense. Like staying cooped up together all day every day was unhealthy or something.

Okay, maybe he could see the other boils point.

And so, he shuffled into the class, slouched over, hands in pockets, hair in face, the whole usual bit. He recognised a couple of the other students in the class, pulling his hand out to give a small 'hello' gesture and a nod towards Siddie, Frost in the Storm, and Taryn, before heading over towards the sheet and jotting down his name in his messy script. Afterwards he waited for Yin, to see where the other boil might like to sit down, eyes wandering over the various crafty things cluttered about.

All classes, all the time man. While Mortimer was definitely not an artful sort (both literally and otherwise), his drawings could use the touch of a real arteeeest, especially if he was going to look good when presenting future plans to investors.

Plus, well, fresh air. While zombies didn't need to breathe, his room had slowly become more stifling to the point that even the normally stagnantly placed zomboil had to get out.

He settled by a medical-ish looking boil, noting that most of the faces here where ones he knew to varying degrees, save for about two or so. Seemed like some of his fellow Badgers were in and, while his last meeting with them was less than good, he still gave a friendly smile.

The boil next to him was sketching something, which Mort couldn't help himself but glance at. "Character design?" he asked curiously.

Yin needed out of his room. Going to Miss Taryn's had helped. Going to train had helped. But he needed to get out and around other people which was somewhat odd considering he was not that people-centered. Simply at a certain point being alone in one room with another for a very extended period of time was not exactly good. So when they found out about the class Yin might have tried to convince Alexander that they should go to the class. Even if it was an art class and neither of them (to his knowledge) were particularly into art.

So he followed Alexander into the class, taking a moment to look around and watching Mort come in to sign up for the class as well. He glanced around, looking at the students that were already there. And suddenly realized that even though he wanted to be here to socialize, to be around others, he had no idea how to approach anyone. Well, a boil would certainly be easier right now. He knew that Alexander was watching him, knew because he was keeping an eye on him at all times, needing to know he was okay. Not trusting anything really after the trials.

But for now he was just going to go over and sit next to Frost in the Storm. "Greetings," he murmured as he seated himself. No, he had to do better than this. "So...um...are you...into arts and crafts?"

Mei was ready. Sooooo ready for this class. A new way to express herself outside of gym and dance? There was nothing better. Hopefully though whatever they were tasked in doing in this class wouldn't be to horrid. The ghoul wanted to do something she might at least be able to hang up on a wall or place upon a shelf and regale Goop of all the effort it took to create it.

Not that the Feslime would care too much. But that was besides the point.

The ghoul spotted Alex when she came into the room. Gave him a slight wave before heading over to an open spot where she could sit down and await the class to begin. Maybe someone else she knew, which was few, would show up. Or maybe she'd make a new friend today. Who knew. There were many possibilities.

Mitzi entered the room, a bounce in her step. As much as it wasn't anything that she expected to help her become stronger, an arts and crafts class sounded like just what she needed - a distraction. That, and as much as she'd not been allowed to do much in the way of crafts as a scareling, she'd always been intrigued by the concept.

As she went to sign herself in, she noticed the name two above hers. Well, she couldn't just not attend classes because of the weremantis, so she added her name anyway. Further up the list she saw another ghoul she knew, and she looked up and around the room to find the other Reaper.

She headed over to her friend, somewhat relieved that luck had put her a ways off from a certain boil. She did her best to ignore him as she sat down. "Hey, Circe! I didn't know you were going to be here."
