Lately the plains had been too crowded with lions for Cradily to have much success hunting there, if one could call the strange, green leopardess' method of catching prey hunting. She could barely turn around without running into one of the self-entitled savannah cats getting in her way and making a general nuisance of themselves. As a result the ambush predator had been forced into the shadowy terrain of the vastly green jungle. This may or may not have proved a beneficial relocation though given that in such a place there were plenty of places to hide in wait for something tasty to come along. Assuming that something tasty would come along.
Cradily could only hope, grumbling to herself as she settled amongst a grouping of giant flowers with brilliant violet petals like those that created a collar around her neck. Hell, it was as good a place to set up camp as any right?

Kushal really enjoyed when he got to spend time in the jungle. First it was very hard to see him as almost blended in the his surroundings. Even his odd white marking, didn't really make it any easier to spot him. Today he moved among the dense greenery with ease, despite not spending an ton of time in the jungle. After all the jungle house smaller prey and Kushal wasn't a small cat.
Yawning, purple eyes roamed across the jungle floor, looking over flowers and watching little mice scurry in an attempt to get away from him. He almost laughed at the ridiculousness of it. He looked up contemplating headed up into the tree to relax for a bit. He just needed to get away from it all.

Small ears swiveled attentively, listening for the sounds of a potential meal. Beyond the birds that called shrilly from the branches high above her head Cradily wasn't entirely sure what sort of meat could be found in the jungle. Hopefully it was something appetizing, though after losing her last three meals to a variety of strange and unwelcome interruptions the camouflage colored feline was certain that she was prepared to eat anything that crossed her path.
Well, except maybe him. Watching a mossy colored leopard wander across her path, nearly impossible to spot if not for his constant movement and unique white markings upon his legs Crad stilled herself. A test of her disguise and a little fun perhaps, if he didn't notice her she'd have a riot catching him off guard when she popped out from amongst the almost prehistoric looking jungle flowers.

Kushal hardly noticed the green female, not that he had been looking for her because certainly he hadn't. Actually he hadn't expected anyone to actually be around. Whenever he came into the jungle he never really had any company. Frankly a little company would be nice.
He frowned slightly deciding that instead of climbing he would just lounge for a bit on the cool grass of the jungle floor. He walked over to settle down among a big grouping a huge leaves that looked like they would make a soft bed.
"Man what a day," he muttered to himself as he plopped down.

Clearly the hapless leopard hadn't a clue to the female that was stalking him, a wry grin curling her maw as she suddenly ducked down below the flowers she sat with causing the leaves to rustle gently. Slinking across the underbrush the plants all around her occasionally twitch with her movement causing the atmosphere around the stranger to appear as it it were dancing. Finally, after several minutes Cradily had made it to the opposite side of the clearing where he sat, but by that time a new idea had dawned on her.
Instead of pouncing her dark, masked face remained hidden as she whispered from amongst the jungle plants. You're telling us.. it ain't easy being a plant! You're squashing our leaves!

Kushal was shocked and he looked around wildly trying to find the source of the voice. Surely the plants couldn't be talking to him. It was bad enough that he saw thing, he most certainly did not want to be hearing things without a vision to accompany it. No, it was impossible leaves er ... plants didn't talk.
He chuckled lightly to himself at his silliness, but made no effort to move, convinces that maybe he's spent to much time in the sun before he entered the jungle.
"Plants can't talk," he muttered to himself shaking his head.

Don't be so sure, fluffy! Cradily could barely contain her laughter as she slithered under some roots, deciding to change positions to a new plant for added affect. A paw pushing at the stem of one of the giant leaves so that it seemed to be shaking an angry fist at the leopard. She even changed her voice for good measure. Yea! Did you ever think maybe we don't talk because we don't have anyone intelligent to talk to?!
This was far too rich, a humorous grin tugging at the cheshire female's maw indulgently. It'd been far too long since she'd last had this much fun. It was unlikely she'd be able to keep fooling him for long, best to make the most of it!

Kushal frowned trying to ignore the plant, that seemed to be talking to him. It was very hard to do after the plant seemed to move or rather shake at him. Why him, he really just wanted so peace and quiet.
Frowning he huffed and covered his ears with his paws as he lay down more comfortably. "Plant's cannot talk," he insisted as he shut his eyes trying to push the ridiculous situation from his mind.
"Beside, if plants could talk and they have decided to talk to me, they have really stupid timing, as I have no desire to talk to a plant ever." He growled frustrated cause technically he was currently mumbling to a plant.
"This is ridiculous," he growled.

Burying her face in her paws to silence a snort of hysteria it took several moment before Cradily could collect herself to continue her fun, amused by the distress the leopard showed. Thus far he hadn't even tried to figure out where the voices were coming from, seeming to accept this fabricated hallucination as just that. How rude! You beasts have no manners!
Shaking the plant hard enough that its leaves nearly broke off to express the trembling outrage of the foliage Crad added one last stroke of brilliance. We were going to give you sacred words of wisdom never told to any beast, but you can forget it now!
She could only hope he'd fall for the bait, waiting with a pent breath in her lungs giddily.

Kushal groaned rolling over and trying to ignore his hallucination. He wandered if maybe he had eaten or drank something he shouldn't have. One could never tell when one was a seer. You saw stuff that wasn't really right in front of you often enough.
Covering his ears had helped somewhat, the 'plants' words were muffled, but he did hear what was said. He sighed in relief when the plant seemed ready to stop talking to him, but just in case he decided it was time for him maybe to move on.
Shaking his head he rose up and stretched, before moving to the tree just a few feet off, unsheathing his claws and starting up it grinning a bit as he claws dug into the bark. He got a small ways up and looked back down at where he had been lying and that's when he finally saw her and frowned deeply.
He climbed up onto a low branch and glared down at her, "that miss, was not at all funny."

Quick as that, the fun was over for the plant-like leopardess. A pout tugging at her maw as the darker hued male picked himself up, deciding to relocate to a place where the foliage were less talkative, evidently. She never thought she might have been caught though, stretching out on her yellow belly in the soft nest of springy, untouched jungle brush. Back to the boredom of solitude, familiar though it was to her and somewhat preferred over the noise of unwelcome company.
Cradily didn't seem to pay any mind to the scratch of claws on bark or the scrabbling sound of her victim climbing. She didn't notice him until he was hovering over her head with a rather sour look upon his face. An unapologetic glance of shockingly bright eyes regarding him lazily. Ah that. Well. Clearly you have no sense of humor.

Kushal frowned at the leopardess, for him no it wasn't funny. It may have been funny, if he wasn't himself, but the fact remained that he was. "I have a sense of humor, but not for someone trying to make me think I am crazy. Really plants talking to me."
He sighed and shook his head, "it is hard to find that funny when you are already cursed to see and hear things beyond your control, that you are told are real. So no your little joke held no humor for me. Next time maybe you should just jump out of the bushes or something."
Kushal anger at the leopard was rapidly cooling, he wasn't the most confrontational leopard and after the words had left his mouth he realized how insulting they sounded and frowned at the guilt that was trying to push his way forward.

Ugh, really? Uninterested in his sob story, whatever it happened to be, the well-aged huntress expressed her displeasure in an exaggerated groan. Crad had no interest in sticking around to be berated for such an insignificant little prank. He didn't need to appreciate her sense of humor, but there wasn't any reason to cry about it either, gods. Are you done whining like a cub? Or should I just leave you to your pity party?
Already sitting up in preparation to depart to a new part of the jungle--honestly there had to be somewhere in this place that was completely unoccupied--the rather bulky leopardess stretched. Plush tail lashing back and forth in blatant impatience for an answer. If he was expecting her to say she was sorry he was definitely out of his mind.

Kushal's frown deepened and he sighed once again, not giving her answer at first, but instead just staring at her as if he couldn't believe what she'd just said. It seemed he was just destined to have bad day, filled with not so wonderful luck. He looked her over, she was lovely, even if she was rude, not that he'd given her reason to be nice, though she hadn't given him reason either.
She stood on his branch and came back down to the ground."That not necessary. I can tell when my company is not wanted. This isn't my home anyway so I will make my leave."
He walked past her muttering, "its always the lovely ones that are so," he let the sentence drop as he continued on. Really there was not need to be more rude.

For a while Cradily stared back, wondering just what was going through the male's head as the silence stretched on, further gnawing at her thin patience. Maybe she hadn't given him any reason to be friendly, but she certainly hadn't given him anything to over react to either! Just a bit of harmless fun.
Watching his slinky frame creep down from the branch above her head the flora colored female was quick to move her hindquarters to keep from being caught in a surprise attack. Wary eyes followed the stranger as began to take his leave, murmuring something half-complimentary under his breath. Perhaps if she were younger she might have been taken in by it and even felt guilty.
As things were Crad was far too wise for that nonsense, clucking her tongue quietly. Even if she had a few choice thoughts lined up for him she resisted the urge to snap, leaving the other to brood. That suits me just fine.
