To begin, my friends, we must create characters. Into them, I must beg that you put as much love and care into them as you ever have to any you have ever made. This is probably going to be my last roleplay on Gaia unless things really take off.
I am going to put it out there right now, It is your job to be creative. Every one of you is more than capable of creating a character. We have all worked together long enough to know each other's styles and you know really that so long as what you create is beautiful, then I will accept it. I answered what I will about the world, it is up to Everyone to bring it to life. Creating an entire universe is a horrifying task for but one man who doubts his own ability. So, before striking out with a bunch of questions, I want you to just think about it and know that whatever ideas your brain births, I will nurture them and melt them into this post-apocalyptic world. It is not my tale. I simply carved out a skeleton, we will make the flesh, the hopes, the dreams, and the future of this sweet child.
To begin, we are all human. The only way you can begin right off being something a little different is to assume that something went wrong with your stasis and the world leaked in and changed you. I will leave that up to you. But we are all human, we have no super powers as there will be time for that later. Mind you, you can be anywhere up to the greatest athlete this world has ever seen, to just your average mildly overweight citizen.

Note, you do not have to use this, and if you want a skeleton it doesn't have to follow these guidelines. I would like to at least get a full description of your character either here or in your first post so we know what we are looking at.

Chapter One NPCs
This is calling out to all of you, we need NPCs, these are people who grew up in the world of Our Lord. They can be anything you want them to be, from the darkest pits of your imagination. They are in charge of ensuring that the world is under constant control. They do not have to adhere to the laws of citizens. They are cruel, they worship chaos and evil. To apply all you need to do is ask so I can make sure two people are not trying to make the same person.
For the Hand: It is my assumption that I will probably play the Hand. If someone else wishes to play the Hand I will happily allow it and we can have a one on one discussion in its creation. The Hand has access to Laser Weaponry, has a magic melee weapon, and probably also has some sort of defensive trinket. He has also probably reached Demon Status.
Talons: The talons are military officers. They each own their own soldiers and answer only to the Hand Himself. They can be anything, anyone, but they are without a doubt the most fear inducing people in all of the land. They have access to gunpowder weapons, and can have either a Magic Weapon, or a magic Artifact.

The Face of the Worm: The face of the Worm is a holy leader who follows only the Word of the Worm. He is required to dish out sermons every day. This means I will probably have to play him, unless someone wants him and once again I will talk to you about it. He has his Obsidian mask, which if one peers into its eyes he can freeze them in place and send messages to their brain, as well as hallucinations. His weapon is The Fangblade. This is a ceremonial dagger that when it cuts a victim it feeds off them, the wielder of the Fangblade can always sense where the victim is, can slowly leach the life from them and instill sickness into their flesh. He also has his Red Robes that are resistant to most forms of attack, died red with the blood of sacrifices.
The Crimson Tears: These characters have taken a vow of silence, but it is expected of them to spread the Dark Word daily, preforming ritual sacrifices in the streets. They are also required to remove their genitals to further their devotion to Our Lord. They are equipped with enchanted blades that grow more powerful with every sacrifice. These weapons will eventually become Fangblades, as the Crimson Tears all eventually wish to become a Face.

Name: Eldritch Dedalus Hamarstrom (Eld)
Age: Twenty-five
Appearance: Eld is a mid sized man with an extremely toned body. He keeps his head shaved entirely, his dark eyebrows give hints that his hair is naturally very dark brown, or even black. His eyes are a muddled green that seem somewhat cloudy despite their ever alertness. Nothing about him makes him stand out in a crowd, he has no tattoos, no piercings. He is one of those rare white men who can pull off the bald look.
Previous Occupation: Leader of the Eldr Ded FreeRunning and Parkour group. He was quite famous throughout the youth of Sovelii, as he was very very good at what he did.
History: He was always an athlete, never did too well at the academic side of learning, but he had the drive and ambition to succeed never the less. And as soon as he graduated he was called up by the Proskoy Free running group, (he had been the best free runner his school had seen) and he was taken under the wing of the ever so famous Tucker Vann. After years of hard work Eld had begun smashing the records set all over the world and was quickly becoming one of the greatest names in the Freerunning world. Then came the wars, and sports were put on the back burner.
Also physically my inspiration for this character is This Guy. Though personality wise... we shall see

Name: Sascha Wren Frost-Tenzing
Age: Twenty-seven
Appearance: Sascha is a hermaphroditic androgyne, uncommon among Soveliians but not unheard of. People such as she go through cycles. Most of the time they are completely without gender, but for certain spans they will enter a receptive state wherein they will take one gender or another to compliment their partner. As a result, they are capable of both bearing and of siring children. Sascha has no facial nor body hair and in his gender-neutral state merely has breasts slightly larger than a normal male's. In either gendered state the only visible changes are in the external sexual organs and the size of the breasts; as a male his chest is more flat, and as a female her breasts are slightly enlarged.
Despite the relative progressiveness of Sovelii, gender-neutral citizens were still a relatively unique thing and little understood and so in some places faced some prejudice and mistrust. Some scientists theorized that such citizens were an evolutionary step forward and if given sufficient time and understanding would supplant gendered humans and pave the way for a more egalitarian society, possibly even leading to an end of the world's hostilities.
They were not given this time.
Sascha is fair-skinned, short, and of robust build. She is accustomed to mostly wearing loose, robe-like garb which completely obfuscates his gender.
Previous Occupation: Homemaker
History: Sascha had difficulty understanding gender when she was young. He entered the world without a full understanding of the relative strangeness of her own dualed genders and quickly withdrew. He was lucky enough to meet a very understanding young man and the two married. She bore him a child and spent her days caring for it as she slowly continued her education. The war tore this life to ribbons. In the chaos Sascha was seperated from his husband and child and hardly understood what she was being drawn into.

Name: Jaidev Dieter Rocco
Age: 30
Appearance: Jaidev had always been large for his age. At only twelve years old, he stood around an even 6ft 2in.
By his twenty-sixth birthday, he had grown to a staggering 7ft 6in. Weighing in at 310pds, most of the weight being muscle. His hair is light brown, which is long and fashioned into dreadlocks. His skin is very pale, despite the fact that he spent most of his childhood outside playing with friends. People would say he has a babyface, were it not for the fact that he sports a very untamed goatee and sideburns. He was born with complete heterochromia, resulting in his left eye being blue; while the right eye is brown.
Previous Occupation: Food-Stall Vendor
History: From the time he was born, Jaidev was raised by his grandfather. His mother had died from complications during his birth. Unlike most, Jaidev hardly attended school. Instead, he helped his grandfather run his small business in the marketplace. And after his unfortunate passing, Jaidev took over and became very popular for his skill in the culinary arts.
