A few days had passed since Astra had had her 'nightmare', and in those days...she hadn't done much. If anything she had stayed inside her dorm room, curled up in her bed with her minipets close, using them as something warm to hug when she needed one. It was rare to not find her in her room, and if she wasn't, then she'd be darting very quickly to her destination, usually the cafeteria, and then back again.
This wasn't a first for the fairy, however. In actual fact she was getting used to this; being absolutely traumatized by a event that she keep to her room, a pillar of safety with it's many greenery that she could hide in and her bed that she pretended was a fort. She would then continue this for a week or two, then begin to spend more time away, until she was back to normal.
Now the question was, would this time be any different? Astra wasn't sure. But on this occasion she had noted that her suffering wasn't all in vain; a paper with a large "EXAM AUTHENTICATION APPROVED" was proof of that.
For now, she oped to try and not be such a wuss and had ventured out of her room once more. Her fairy scareon, Puff, she took with her to keep her company (And also a extra pair of eyes, just encase danger surfaced).

The door to Riyo's room had been left open.
It was the first sign of something very wrong with the feline, considering how many locks were on the back of her door, which hadn't seen its weekly polish. Nor had the floor, in fact.
Riyo was too busy. Doing what? Doing nothing. Absolutely nothing. The ghoul was a little more coherent than when she first woke up, but there was still something about her that screamed she wasn't all the way there. It might've been the fact that she was just dressed in a tank top and jeans (yes somewhere in her past the ghoul had bought jeans for a casual day). Or the fact that when she stared, the usual vim and vigor was lacking from the center of her eye. Or maybe the fact that she was just sitting at her desk, head propped up by her arm, doodling a bunch of stick figures that slightly resembled students at Amityville.
Though her door might've been open, it looked like her cats were trying to compensate for the lack of protection. Two stood on either side like soldiers on guard duty, while Felix had somehow acquired his own generals hat and fly swatter. He patrolled the room as best as he could on two legs, with the meager weapon gripped in his claws. If anyone was going to mess with his master in her state, he'd show them what for... Or at least try to.

It was hard not to notice the door that was wide open, and even harder to not notice whom was inside.
Now, Astra had seen plenty of students whom had been disturbed. You could tell by the way they acted that they had gone through hell. But glancing inside the room led the fairy to believe that Riyo was really, really messed up.
Not that she could blame her, as she was sure the feline ghoul must have had the same nightmare everyone else had.
The fairy stood on the opposite side of the room, wondering if she should approach or not. The two cats standing near the door looked like they were bodyguards, and she didn't want to get scratched up. Still, it was hard to just walk away from someone who looked so...off, so she picked up Puff, and walked slowly towards the room (finding it a little hard to manage the minipet as she did, so she ended up holding him just under the forearms. Thankfully puff didn't mind).
"H-hey..Riyo?" She said quietly. "It's me, Astra"

"Hm? Mm." Riyo glanced up and away when the fairy called out, her pen resting on the paper she was currently scribbling on. "Yeah. Come in." Not that there was anything stopping her from doing so, besides the cats.
Their trigger word seemed to be 'come in', though, as they immediately backed off when the ghoul approached. Though it didn't seem like the larger feline was actually filtering people. She was more concerned with whatever she was doing. "Just working on important paperwork." It was obvious she wasn't. The papers she was drawing on might've been important... At one time. "Lots of work to do. Aaaalways lotsa work to do. I already polished the floors and fed the cats."
... She had, in a way. The floor was actually kinda sticky. And there was a bucket in the corner with... Tea bags. Had she... Polished the floor with tea? And there was... A microwavable meal in the cat bowl. Uhhh.
"Need to take a shower soon, I think." The ghoul reached over to grab her tea cup. If the tea was in the bucket... Then what was in the cup?

Still a little cautious, Astra walked into the room as requested, glancing around at all the other cats that were here. She was impressed at the collection of cat minipets however, and found herself looking at them all before she turned her attention back to Riyo and her 'paperwork'. She blinked a few times in confusion. There was no biting sarcasm to her words, as if she actually meant that the stick figures she was doing were something important.
And then she noticed the bucket. With tea bags. And the food. And the cup
...Yup, Riyo had definitely gone off the deep end. There was no doubt about it. Astra knew of creatures that were good at just being random, but Riyo wasn't one of them.
"Riyo.....are you feeling okay?" She placed puff on the floor, flying towards the edge of the Felines desk so she could get a better look at her.

Sipping on the 'drink' as Astra approached, Riyo gave no indication that whatever was in the cup would hurt her. "I've been better." The feline admitted openly for once, sitting the now empty tea cup down.
Something smelled vaguely of pine.
"Lots of work to do. Not much time to do it. Such is life." And then Riyo hiccuped... And a couple of bubbles popped out of her mouth.
Yeah, he had just ingested pine cleaner. "I'm having trouble concentrating though. Ah, well. Bit scatterbrained. Not a big deal."

It was good to see her being honest, that was a good sign. Though when she smelt the pine, and she looked at the bucket, a little light went off in her head.
"W-Wait! Riyo you shouldn't..." Astra tapered off as the feline drunk the pine cleaner anyway, and watched her hiccup bubbles. "...Drink...that..."
The fairy frowned, folding her arms as she floated in the air while listening to Riyo repeat herself about having lots of work to do. They hadn't had much school work since the trials...
"What kind of work do you have to do?" She asked.

"Papers. So many papers. Never not papers." The ghoul mumbled as she flipped one of her drawings over to reveal a rather official looking work form from some place called Syphon Corp. "Gotta sign the paychecks, approve new work orders, write invoices, all that jazz."
Seemingly satisfied with her own work description, the ghoul reached up and grabbed a thinner piece of paper with some kind of work description on it... Which was soon adorned with drawings of adorable stick kittens. "Very important, you see. The company could cave if I'm not around to do the job." If it wasn't already in the process of caving. Did Riyo actually realize what she was doing? It certainly didn't seem so.
"And how the <******** are you doing, Astra?" The ghoul asked, temporary looking up from her paperwork to look at the fairy.

It was hard to tell weather Riyo was telling the truth or not. Astra could see the papers were important, but what was being done with them was far from anything that could be considered 'work'. She had to wonder if she should point out the obvious and try to get her to see reason, but somehow she doubted it would work
Her thoughts were soon interrupted by the felines rather crude question. How was she doing? She was a crumbled wreck of a ghoul who could barely manage to stay outside for more then five minutes, afraid she would by attacked by hunters and then dragged back to that horrible, horrible place. Not to mention that she was completely useless, unable to protect the people she cared about, and she spent half her time crying.
"Fine, just fine" she huffed out. Her scareon then began to wriggle uncomfortably as her hug around it tightened.

"You're a shitty liar." The ghoul immediately interjected, turning her head back to her desk after examining Astra for a moment. "I don't recall asking how the ******** you wished you were." Why did she care? Hell if Riyo herself knew. All she really knew was that her mind was in shambles, and going with the flow was easier than sorting it out and picking up the small pieces.
"See, your tone and even the words you chose are evidence of a bad lie. There is no commitment to them. You'd probably be a bad actor too. So why don't you try again?"

Astra did not like this was going. Somehow it went from watching a crazy ghoul do things, to the very same ghoul making trying to pick her apart for her own mental state. And she was not amused.
"What is it to you if I'm lying or not?" She retorted, staring sown riyo as she looked at her, not even bothering to pretend she wasn't lying to cover up her own insecurities. " And why would you even care if I am? Would you even want to know what I was thinking?" Cause she dam well didn't care beforehand, that was for sure.

"I was just saying-" Oh look. She'd gotten the fae riled up. Oops.
"I never said I cared." Riyo said simply, setting her quill pen down to cradle her head in her hand. "But you did just come into my room and ask how I was. I answered honestly. I've been better. Much better. Why lie about it?"
The ghoul paused for a moment. "Or is it that you're trying to lie to yourself? Doesn't work very well, does it?"

"You said I could come in!" Astra snapped back, nearly glaring at her now. "And I'm not lying to myself! I know what I feel like; I feel horrible, afraid, terrified, and I feel like I can't do a dam thing, no matter how hard I try. I feel like a failure!"
She stopped her rant, taking a few deep breaths to calm herself down and then to hide behind Puff's soft fluffy body so Riyo couldn't see her face. Jack, she just had to let herself get worked up like that, and in front of someone else, too. She didn't want to act like this, especially in front of others. It was embarrassing as much as it was pathetic.

"I never said I didn't say you could come in?" Eugh. Double negatives.
Then Astra had her s**t fit, and Riyo's mind seemed to click as to what happened. All those things were exactly what her insides felt like. "You were shoved in that tube too, weren't you?" The ghoul's ears began to droop as she stared at the ghoul, a frown cracking through the neutral demeanor she'd worked so hard to achieve. The demoness hadn't thought about other people experiencing the same thing she did.
"Usually I hate using this shitty phrase... But I think I know how you feel."

This time, the fairy was quiet for a much longer duration, head bowed as she stared at the floor. Her frame shook slightly, as if she was trying not to cry. Or perhaps she was afraid, or even angry? It was hard to tell. She even let her scareon down, where it curled around her feet and tried to get a more positive reaction from her owner.
"..Yes...I was..." She whispered softly. Dark memories swirled around in her mind, and if she tried hard enough, Astra could still feel that horrible, soul shattering pain, and the horrible feeling of hunger and nothingness....
It was during this that Riyo had revealed she had also been put in there. Or at least she assumed so, judging by her comments. It left her with little to say. What was she supposed to say? 'Wow, you were turned into a weapon too? We have something in common now!'
Yeah, right...
"A....are your team mates okay?" She eventually said.
