And so it came to pass...
The End
These words were the first any of our heroes had heard in countless years of thoughtless, dark slumber. One would expect that someone's mind would be blank after so long of inactivity, but these words came across clear, along with all the information that followed after them.
What The Elders Taught Our Sweet Heroes-
-Everything and Everyone that our heroes cared about, is gone.
-What is familiar will be replaced by that which is alien.
-This is a savage world, a cruel one. All thoughts of individual rights are forgotten.
-Guns are forgotten by all but the highest elite of the world.
-Machines are masses of metal lumped together with no thought of safety.
-Humans are but slaves to the vile masters of the world.
-The Worm God Lives... and it is his jagged grin that shines brightly over all the people of the land.
-You were saved from certain death for one reason. Kill the Worm God, restore the world to it's former beauty, bring happiness back to the living.

Memories......
Our heroes all come from the same place, the same time. Sovelii. To assist in the history of your character I will include some information about the city and time from whence they came.
Sovelii was a sprawling metropolis with many layers. As the earth slowly lost area, the human race decided to take volume into account, and built upward. Sovelii was an intricate three layer city with twisting beautiful architecture that allowed sunlight into all of it's areas. It was a free city where the poor has as much chance as the rich to make it big, good education was free to all citizens who wanted it. Resources were quite plentiful considering Sovelii was one of the higher end civilizations of the time.
The city itself was a clean, bright place. Crime, while not possible to squelch entirely was not something feared by most citizens. The police force were a formidable force considering the advancements in technology. It was a bright and shining future for all who lived there. Learning and working in the winter, taking week long cruises in space for the summer. Love, Life, Happiness.
Towards the end, things began to change. Sovelii got swept up into the turmoil of the world quite early as there were some attacks on public places that sent countless to their graves. Our heroes would have seen their beautiful city melt into a hateful beast. The walls plastered with propaganda, US against THEM! They are evil, they want to rape our women and kill us for no reason other than they simply do not like us. Many of the men got sent off to war. Though, for such a well off place, soldiers mostly used drones for the dirty work, but they went in droves to go fight this faceless and terrible enemy.
Our heroes would see the rise in crime in Sovelii as the War would slowly envelope the world. People would start getting scared. More people would buy weapons, more people would try to get something for nothing, a hedonistic plea to enjoy life as much as possible before the end.
It took an entire week from the time that the first bomb went off, to the time the Elders took our Heroes into stasis. And very shortly after that Sovelii was swept away under a baleful nuclear wave. But as they waited, as the bombs dropped, as everyone started to realize that they might have done too much damage, the fear within our heroes would have been boundless.
Now they live, they have nothing but each-other as a memory of the past. Together they must stand against their common enemy.
