She was on a mission. Sort of. Okay it wasn't an actual 'the higher ups are sending us to our doom' type. No, Infinity was on a mission to locate a certain particular intermediate trainee. One that she owed a little playful payback. Nothing that would be dangerous or harmful in any way! But first, she had to find Gale's room. And that meant wondering up and down the halls, hoping for a sign.
:: You should have just asked someone. Or looked for a room roster. :: Vashi said in a lazily dry voice.
:: Now where's the fun in that? :: She replied absently, peering down the hall she was in.
:: You just like making things difficult, don't you precious? ::
Her lips twitched. Yes, she probably did have a knack for making things more difficult then they needed to be. But it just wasn't easy for her to ask for help right away. At least not until after she'd attempted it on her own first.
She glanced over her shoulder, hearing voices. Crap, what if one of them was Gale?! If he spotted her it would defeat the whole purpose of her 'mission'.
:: Remind me again why we are looking for the baby twerp? ::
:: Oh hush, Vashi! :: Fini sighed mentally, not paying attention to where she was walking while still glancing over her shoulder.

Well, she did hear a voice, but it wasn't Gale's. In fact, Ryan was just exiting his room and was in the middle of a conversation with Locke, when he walked straight into the sun trainee. Which of course, resulted in him landing on his rump and giving yet another scowl. Something which he seemed to be doing a lot of lately.
....
The scowling that is.
:Graceful as always, I see.: Locke said with a snort, barely able to hold back his laughter.
Shuddap. and a grumble was all he said in return to the carbuncle, who was easily amused.
"I'm sorry I wasn't looking where I was--" He stopped, blinking up at the new face. Well. He assumed it was a new face. Whoever this was, he didn't recognize her at all and judging by the coat, she was not a full fledged hunter. Which left---
"New trainee?" He asked, forgetting the apology altogether.

:: Y'know, I'm sensing a trend in how you meet people~ :: Vashi snickered.
Fini flailed her arms to keep from going down. Thankfully, this encounter didn't start off with her a** on the floor. However the same was not true for whoever she just smacked into. And go figure. Once again it had been because she failed to watch where she was walking.
Maybe Vashi did have a point...
"Oh s**t, sorry!" She didn't really notice that he didn't finish his apology. Fini didn't recognize him. At least it wasn't Gale though. "Ha ha, yeah. Is it that obvious?" She held out a hand to assist him up. "I'm Infinity."
:: Precious, what is it with you and running into all the guys? :: Was he jealous? Nah, Vashi? He was never jealous. :: I can't wait to see what this one is like. :: There was a sinister edge to his tone. Yep. Totally jealous.
"Are you an intermediate trainee too?" She asked curiously.

There was a brief pause before Ryan shrugged.
"No, not really. More like I just don't recognize you. Though I'm sure that goes for the majority of the people around here." He answered sheepishly, accepting her hand to help him up off the ground. He probably should try socializing a little more. Whenever he wasn't training, doing his duties, or getting dragged out on some mission or other, he was absorbed in a book, or scribbling things on paper for fun.
"Huh me..?" There was another pause, before he shrugged again. "Nope. Though some of my friends from the uhh... 'batch' I'm from have already made it to intermediate, I'm still just a lowly trainee." He admitted. He was in fact, far behind the others. Which was not something he was proud to admit.

Okay that was fair enough. And he did have a point. It was difficult to recognize everyone around the Island. Unless they'd been in your...'group', when you awakened. She smiled at him, helping him up before holding her hands behind her back. "Well you had it right on the money. I'm a fairly new trainee." Fini gave him a slightly sheepish look as well.
Her lips quirked up at him. "Just like me then. Though you probably know your way around better than I do." She added with a little humor. "Any pointers you can give me?" Fini teased.
"So how long have you been...well, a trainee hunting foul creatures?" Her blue gaze almost appeared childish. "It probably never gets any easier, does it?"

"I guess you could sort of say the same for me. Not new new, but I haven't had much experience yet, so I guess I'm still considered fresh out of the pod." He shrugged. "Nah, not really. Well I guess... I know enough not to get myself hopelessly lost now, but my sense of direction is... lacking." Yes. Lacking was one word for it, only he should have used nonexistent.
He shrugged again at her question. "Since last November I think, its hard to re-call and I guess not? Some of them its fairly easy to deal with. Pitiful maybe, but nothing you can't handle. Though its harder fighting the ones that sound and act like humans. I still can't get over how human like they can act." He shook his head, looking back at her. "What about you. You looked as though you were hunting something just now. What were you doing exactly?" He asked, more out of curiosity than suspicion.
