The gym was fairly empty today. It always seemed to be. After all no one taught a class here anymore. It was an empty sore spot in the heart of some students who had been there the day it went down, when Red had been taken away.
Still that was not a good excuse to stop visiting the gym and working out. With all her mistakes during the trials, even if she passed she still wasn't worthy. She had to be better next time. What if they did end up in that cage? What if everyone had been captures? She couldn't afford to fail like she had in that nightmare.
So she was back again setting up targets and dummmies practicing everything from take downs, to quick strikes working out every form of fighting she could think of should she run into the smiling man with a wip again.

Ash did not have his helm on. The strange voices in his mind were quiet as of late, even though the patches remained on the lower side of his cheek. He had it covered with a bandage, large and conspicuous-- but at least it was concealed.
He was, by nature, strong-- but brute strength did not come with any sort of training on how to use it. So to the gym he went-- there was a girl there, unfamiliar to him.
Dragging the Great Knife behind him like any good member of Pyramidkind, Ashford advanced to the punching bags.
"Might I use one of these, miss?"

Another series of blows bounced off the dummy in front of her. Thump thump thump WHAM the final blow sending the bag spinning before she started another series of blows. For now that was the only sound in the gym till the Pyramid reaper wandered in. The faint scratching of his knife on the floor before he spoke.
"Eh a punching bag?" She glanced at his knife then the bags. "I hope you mean for your fists... with that..." She let out a whistle. "With something that big, and likely sharp, you'd cut the poor bags clean in half." The bag she was punching spun in a slow lazy circle forgotten and free from her beating.
"Jack damn, how do you wield that thing it looks like it could way a ton..." She paced around the boil eyeing his knife, sword, giant-weapon-of-murder. "I gota say, I'm jealous of you reapers and all your fancy toys..."

"I am in a mood to practice," he said, bland. "I suppose a live opponent would be more engaging than a stationary bag." He lifted the blade, slowly, pointing it at the girl. His arm sagged just a little from the weight, grinning ferociously underneath his helm.
"Strength of an astounding amount is my singular natural ability."
He cocked his head. "Do you accept the proffered challenge?"'

The grin that split across Sammy's face would make a Cheshire cat demon proud. "The live ones are always more fun. I could use a bit more practice after losing a boxing match to Jericho. Course we couldn't use FEAR then..."
Just mentioning the word caused her eyes to flare up as she held out her blackened left fist tapping the nuckles to the tip of the giant knife.
"The cold grip of the grave, and undying passion for fighting is my own, you damn well bet I accept this challenge boil."

Of course the moment the challenge was accepted, Sammy would fight and fight she did. No sooner had she declared the willingness to fight did she step in on the giant knife. Big weapon's where great at a range, but if she was in close? Her fist would do the talking and no sword that big would have a say in such a matter.
Even as she slid in along the side of the giant knife she pulled her left fist back to throw a few quick jabs at the reaper, FEAR flaring a brilliant purple and feeling strangely cold every time she landed a light hit against the reaper.
"Let's see how fast you swing that toy boil!"

Ash was familiar enough with battle to know that speed was not, in fact, everything that mattered in a battle. If the reaper experienced the pain, he did not reveal it, not even with a grimace from beneath his helm.
"Dexterity," he said, slow and enunciated, shoving Sammy away with the flat of his Great Knife, "is not the only prerequisite for combat."
The sting of her FEAR, though, proved that it was SOMETHING.
"I would also appreciate respect for my weapon," Ash requested politely, turning the blade to point it at the undead ghoul's fists. "I would not mock yours."

The flat of his blade moved steady and true pushing like a small wall against her sliding her back opening space between them. (Honestly the last thing she wanted, that thing could gut her from belly to chin at this range!)
"By all account's I don't lack in strength at all, maybe not as powerful as you, but I'm no push over." Her left hand continued to lead as she turned to the side again into a boxing stance.
"I didn't mean to mock, I'm simply excited, I refer to all Reaper's weapons as a toy, a very lovely, deadly, toy." She moved, feet shuffling side to side in a small zigzag as she stepped in jabbing at his arm's maybe if she wore him down he'd lower that sword and actually let her in again.
"If anything, I'm jealous of your weapons."

"You are displaying your strength admirably," Ashford acquiesced with a nod. He relaxed visibly, shoulders losing some of their tension, as she clarified. "Ah, but the Great Knife is not merely just my weapon," Ash said with a grunt, the blows raining on his arms, the resulting sag causing his blade's edge to drag against the ground. It scraped against the floor with a horrible screech, and he stepped forward with deliberation in his gait. "Do not trifle yourself with jealousy. It is a heavy burden, as heavy as the helm I wear on my shoulders." A smirk from underneath the helm, echoing outwards from underneath it. "However. We thank you for the compliment." "I owe you thanks for a compliment then as well."
He seemed to relax a bit, which was good, she really didn't mean to insult him. She would save those kind of taunts for a deviled imp demon, or perhaps one of the other people who deserved her jabs and insults. Honestly he seemed like a good boil. Quiet, but very polite.
"It is a weapon though no? They defend, they attack, they carve the world out around it." He moved forward pushing her back stumbling slightly. "Trust me, we all wear our burdens." Her eyes flickered with fire, black bone arm burning purple. "Wear it with pride, and let no one tell you other wise."HP: 37/40 Dmg: Screw it I'm too lazy to dice
