To be honest, Leon never really had much of a problem with the other hunters. That is if you didn't include, Robert, Jerry, Tedan, Candace, and maybe a mild dislike for Before, only due to his hyperactiveness.

But it didn't compare to all the hate that Rep had. Rep. Just the name could made made him feel like the day was going to hell and rain on someones parade. Rep was one of those new trainees that he could see dying, and not lift a finger to save. if that wasn't Caeilus speaking through him, he wasn't sure what else if could have been. Sure he could put a bandage on the ginger hunter, but who was to say it wasn't one of the experimental bandages Life labs has been working on in the last month?

Safe to say that He really didn't want to be around him, at all. anywhere.
But the gym was open to all.

Drat.

Rep as a rule tended to avoid the gym when other people were there. For the same reason he avoided the showers..almost completely lately. He didn't like people being around him when he did things that required concentration and /not/ ending up in yelling matches or brawls. He thought he'd found a time of day when it was quietest through various sneaking visits and was confident no one had an interest in the place for an hour or two. At least that was what he told himself.

As it was he didn't notice Leon was there until he'd walked too far into the room to turn around and walk back out again without it being hopelessly obvious.

But if there was someone on the whole island he did /not/ want to work out around, it was this guy. He had a horrible feeling he was fit enough that whatever Rep did would be almost puny compared to what he typically did. Fuuck. There was only one thing to do.

"The ******** you doing here?" he snarled. "I thought the gym was going to be free of ******** idiots today."

Picking a fight had worked on Clerise, maybe it'd work here.

Warmups was always important before trying to lift a ******** of weights, it was like a mantra for the former boxer, leon. warmup, life till arms potentialy break, drop repeat for hours, run as many miles in half an hour. lift moar things und put them doun. it was a simple, but effective routine.

the only way it could end up being ineffective, was if there was a distraction. And Rep was a walking, talking, annoying one at that. a great day was ruined in a matter of seconds in his book as he leved his eyes on the redheaded hunter. "Oh, you're here." he muttered irritably with a scowl before turning away from the annoyance and stretched his other hamstring. "You tend to talk a lot, that must mean the part of you you exercise the most must be your mouth, you whore." he counterattacked with a scoff and clearly snubbed at the sun trainee.

"You're here for training your body, either pick up a dumbbell, you dumbbell, get in the ring and get some practical training, or get your pre menstrual b***h a** out of my sight."

One guess who was better at picking a fight.

Rep utterly bristled at the response he got from the other man despite having started it, always staggered by the vitriol he was more than able to dish right back. He'd never been the most clever person when it came to dishing out insults and Leon always highlighted that /acutely/ for him. He narrowed his eyes. Not even able to think of a proper scathing retort and all the more furious for that failure.

"Hahaha. Got a ******** comedian here as always." he crossed his arms in irritation, making no movement any further into the gym but at the same time refusing to run off when so directly put on the spot. Trapped between a rock and a hard place.

"But no, I don't think I can be arsed trying to concentrate on practical s**t with you ******** sniping in the background like a pouty little b***h. You have a problem with me we can ******** settle it like men."

advantage? Leon. Not even the stoic brawler could hide the smug self serving feeling of satisfaction of getting into the gingers head and riling him up. It was a art form that was well respected in the world of competitive fighting. That fact that he still didn't lose his touch with that was nice.

"if I'm a comedian, let me be Gallagher and use your head as a watermelon for my weapon." The fact that his weapon was a chainsaw and not a mallet was overlooked immediately in Leon's mind. Nid however was interested. His brain tastes like sweet watermelon? CRACK IT OPEN NOW MEATHEAD!

Leave it to Rep to still be able to piss anyone off in any kind of situation. Even if his comment didn't make much sense to the athlete. "I can settle it anytime, anyplace, but we can't settle it like men." leon said back casually, the weights were already being lifted again effortlessly, almost mechanically. "Since you're not one." came the sinister smirk that followed the harsh edge in his tone.

Not a man? If there was one way to get under Rep's skin, that was it.

but he didn't hear the angel, simply droning him out.

He was in that sort of nihilistic freefall he tended to get into in these situations. All he could think of was how ******** livid he was, and how much he wanted to punch the other guy until he couldn't punch anymore. He wasn't even considering the fact that Leon could probably pick him up and throw him clear across a room, that he'd probably end up a beaten and bloody pulp. All he could care about was salvaging some small part of his pride.

"Fine then. A fight. One on one. With or without weapons, I don't even give a ********." he smirked nastily "Though your weapon's a hedge trimmer right? A rake? I forget, I just remember it was some kind of ******** gardening tool." he shrugged. "But yeah I'm more man than you are, you wouldn't always act so ******** threatened around me if you didn't."

Meditation was supposed to be calming.
It was supposed to free the mind from worldly desires and teach inner peace and tranquility.

None of that mattered other than shoving Rep's face into the ground and make him chew on the flooring. It was one thing to insult him, Leon didnt really care much for what people thought of him. musclehead, oblivious, dense, a steroid pill popper, whatever, those were just words meant to try and belittle him. Head games like that was easily dealt with in matches. so to brush that off wasn't a hard feat.

But to talk about nidhogg like that. "Nidhogg is a chainsaw and didn't do nothing to you. But if you want him to, just say so. You sure don't seem like a man when you trash an innocent party like that." the boxer grunted back heatedly. talking about his bonded partner like that was a clear no-no in his book.

"the only reason you get this treatment is because you act like hot s**t when you haven't done a thing yet." Leon barked back at the hunter, the source of irritation at the ginger finally brought to light. "One mission and you think you can act the way you do? either grow the ******** up, or die on the battlefield."

he said before giving the male a hefty shove into the wall and braced his arm against the sun members neck. "You are nothing but a liability with the way you act, and if i catch you compromising a mission with me, i will leave you behind in a heartbeat."

How some people can be let out of the pods, Leon never understood, in his opinion, Rep should have been left in there until one of his balls dropped.

"You wanna fight, lets fight. Draw your weapon."

The redhead smirked nastily as he felt he'd found a way to get a rise out of the other man, never mind that it had taken bringing an innocent weapon into the fray. As far as Rep was concerned, a weapon who'd bond to an a*****e probably was an a*****e itself.

he told the angel to shut the hell up.

"He's just an accomplice to dickery is what he is." he snarled, already getting a panicked rush of adrenaline just from the terrorised thrill of picking a fight with a guy who could have folded him five ways in a weaponless world.

He wasn't expecting the shove, nor the sudden difficulty in breathing as the other man shoved his arm right against his neck. He narrowed his eyes and with some degree of difficulty snarled "G'd. Don't w'nt pricks watching my back." Actually surprisingly offended by the implication he could be abandoned on a mission.

He summoned Tracey and with an irritable grunt tried to shove the other man off him a bit with his free hand. "Back the ******** off."

"Why don't you make me back off?"

Leon hissed out to Rep irritably, trying to lean in more with his arm on the hunters neck. "First task, see if you can push me away before i cut off the blood flow to your brain." Was he being a bit sadistic about breaking the less experienced hunter in? maybe. but still, he felt the need to put the pressure on him, no pun intended. "Better make it fast, blackouts aren't very fun, believe me, I know." If it was a fight that Rep wanted, he got it in spades.

He utterly cursed himself for being unwary and shoved into this situation in the first place, panic starting to set in as breathing became very ******** hard indeed. It didn't help that even the closeness was making him freak the ******** out. He hated close range, it made it very hard to move, very hard to use his weapon even when not

It was the calming voice he needed, fighting back against the strong instinct to claw ineffectually at the guy's arm and instead gathering all his strength to try and shove him off.

It wasn't the most valiant attempt in the world, but he was clinging pretty hard to his oxygen.

Leon had no problem with in-fighting, the lightning fast reflexes needed to dodge a punch that was doomed to hit in less than half a second, much more fun than outfighting. Close range? yes please. Out-fighting with a chainsaw? he could deal with it. It wasn't a bad thing to use the same footwork he learned to use with the chainsaw, and hopefully bringing it in for a in-fight hay-makers would be fun. body cleaving uppercut would be a nice finish to any fight to the death.

But that could be decided at another time, the boxers attention however was shifted to the meager nudge away done by Rep. He expected many things from the guy, more blabbing out of his a**, and a potentially strong or at the very least decent shove.

That half assed knock away was not going to win any points. He had to guess that maybe it was the already present lack of oxygen going to the sun hunters fat head. "Are you kidding me? after all that, that's what you do?" to say that Leon was livid was a gross understatement. The steam was practically pouring from his ears as he flung the hunter to the side like a discarded dumbbell. he would probably have to blame the actual dumbbells for the monstrous strength too.

He was not impressed. It felt like fighting a princess golem.

It hadn't worked. ******** hell this was going to be a very short battle. Very ******** short indeed, starting to see flashing red dots in front of his eyes, properly struggling against the other hunter's hold in fully fledged panic. He practically ******** deserved it, letting himself be jumped like this and slowly felt the fight starting to go out of his limbs. ******** ******** ******** had to fight the urge to flinch at the derisive words, able to do nothing but glare.

And then blessed ******** air. Air and pain as he was cast aside. Well that could have ******** gone better. Maybe not ended with him looking like a ******** little b***h. He had to catch his breath before getting being able to attack again, there was no way around it.

It took most of his effort just to heft Tracey back into stance again.

Grapples weren't exactly in Leon repertoire, but man, was it interesting watching Rep get flung a couple of feet. It did nothing to make him feel better or quench his dislike of the redhead. But at least Rep was finally breathing, he supposed as he shot out an arm to summon his weapon that began to rumble in his grasp. "Cheat?" he said dumbly. "Didn't YOU get yourself into such a predicament and wasn't it YOU that could barely get out of it?" he barked out to remind the guy. "you think each mission is going to be fair? That the odds won't be against your favor?" each question was becoming louder and more hostile with every step the life hunter got closer to the sun hunter.

Thankfully, all he got was a right hook instead of a shot in the chest with the chainsaw. "Go find a teat to suck on, ya damned infant and get back into your pod."

"I know the ******** odds aren't fair. You think I'd be fighting as much if I thought it'd be ******** easy?" he snarled, frustrated beyond belief at his own weakness in the face of someone who actually - whether he liked it or not - intimidated him. Leon reminded him of the other guys he'd ran with who could easily kick his a**. He'd made it through life as the ginger psycho with the knife and lack of a sense of when it was good to stop, not as a fair fighter.

It was sort of coming back to bite him now, as he managed just in time to get his breathing in order, only to be punched with surprising force in the chest, reeling back again before finally snapping, Leon could play him like a ******** fiddle, intentionally or not finding all the things he hated most, and being called a child was right up there in the top ten.

"No one's getting me back in a ******** pod ever again."

And with a snarl he finally managed to back up enough to lash out with Tracey, this time finally having the room to put a bit more kick behind the swipe.

Finally leon felt the man shove back. not no half assed shove but a proper one, with his weapon to boot. A nice solid hit, if it was any other person, the boxer would be glad to smile at them and tell them it was a good retaliation. But the opponent was Rep. He was not going to baby the fool.

"I'LL KICK YOU BACK INTO THE POD, SPARTA STYLE."

The ginger got no love from the brunette as he raised the massive chainsaw and crashed it into Rep's own weapon familiar.

HUNGRY HUNGRYGOTTAFEEDFEDDMENOWLEONNOWSOHUNGRYGOTTAEATEVERYTHING

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO HUNGRY FOR FEAR!

Nidhogg was already reaching his critical point based on the random bouts of screaming in his head that made the boxer wince at the sound. Still the chainsaw revved on against the other weapon, with Leon glaring daggers into Rep's empty head.

It's not a threat, it's a promise.
