The demon dorms common room had been made in to a pillow fort. Crudely written on some cardboard in very bad spelling read : "NU GULHLZ AHLOD: XCAPT AMREETA". It looked as if Charlie had found a stick of chalk and badly scribbled over the cardboard. If the cardboard was alive and could express its feelings, it would be weeping at how bad the sign read.
No ******** were given though as Charlie had walled him self up in his fort of pillows with a nice big juicy pizza and a bunch of pop. Candy littered the entire floor of the fort. You couldn't rightfully walk around with out getting a lolipop or gumball crushed under your step. Who ever was in charge of cleaning was about to hate Charlie when he was done.
The pillows them selves were sticky and messy from all the spills of soda the pink haired demon had caused on accident. Charlie him self was curled in a blanket in the fort and nomming on pizza while watching some sort of bad romance comedy. The plot was to complicated for Charlie to really understand the happenings.

Jack-be-damned that tv was loud.
Having taken a day off to just enjoy himself, he was just returning from his little quiet time, hand hovering over his door knob as he attempted to discern where the noisy contraption was coming from - his insatiable curiousity winning over his need for sleep as he wandered closer to the common room, ears perked high.
What he found would easily be considered "a mess" by some, but to him, it was kind of endeering. Pillows and couch-seats were upended, set strategically aroung the skellyvision that was blaring through the room, in the throws of a rom-com that he hadn't seen since his youth - blankets strewn over the fort to show an air of secrecy - and a erratically written sign, stating that girls were forbidden.
Boy, did it remind him of his youth.
Taking it upon himself to let himself in to the common room - he heard the sound of sugary treats crunching under his heels, the sticky sweet smell wafting up with every popping sound. Bending over at the waist to peer through the opening of the den, where he caught sight of a slightly familiar pink-haired demon. This was one he recalled seeing at the demon dance last year, if only in passing, and then again at the class with Crickett - an excitable puppy, is what he remembered as an impression.
Giving a soft smile, he cleared his throat, hoping to push his volumn over the tv.
"Need company? I haven seen this movie since I was a youth." He offered up, hoping to hang out with the strange creature before him.

Charlies head whipped around to see a cat like student at the entrance of his fort. The demon took another bite of his pizza and chewed thoughtfully while staring up at the other male. He's seen this other demon in class before and had even waved to him. There was another bite taken before Charlie finally put the crusty thing in his lap and gave the other student a thumbs up. "Sure! You don't look like a ghoul or nothing," Charlie scooted over some making enough room for the demon. But in doing so, he knocked down one of the important pillows of his creation and had several of the forts pillows collapse on top of him including a few blankets and some miscelaneous candies. For what ever reason, most of the fort still stood. Strange. Possibly the still standing pillows had been semi glued together with the stickiness of the soda and candy. But that wasn't important right now. "AWERAERAER" Charlie couldn't rightfully speak with so many pillows on him and blankets. He was a tangled mess of chaos. Like some kind of horror flick, the demon burst from his prison like some kind of walking dead. This was complete with moans and groans.

He was as peculiar as Jack remembered from his short interactions with the demon prior, but he couldn't help but award the erratic movements from Charlie with a hearty laughter that rang out through the common room, his hands already fumbling with the pillows that surrounded the fallen - attempting to drown him and his pizza dinner.
"Yes, I am definitively sure I am no ghoul!" He chirped out as he worked on the chaos that Charlie had created, smiling ear to ear, almost literally. "I would be worried about a ghoul who sported facial hair and everything." He quipped, grabbing a blanket here, and moving it there, trying to get through the knots and chaos, before finding Charlie's face again, the fox-like smile still bright on his face, even after all this.
"There, I think that should work for now." He murmured, before curling up in the pillows along side the demon boil, letting the "curtain" fall over them again, a slight bit of darkness falling over them also, safe the tv screen and the cat king's eyes, which always glowed a soft green, no matter what the weather.
"I didn't peg anyone else as a romantic-comedy kind of movie buff though." He quipped, as he worked on making the makeshift fort solid again, the sticky substances everywhere making him curious, but he's been in worse, he mused. "I don't think we've ever introduced each other though, most people call me Jack-B-Nimble."

Charlie attempted to help as Jack fumbled through the pillows. But really, Charlie was completely useless in this sort of situation. Long sleeved hands weren't always the easiest to maneuver and lift things. Let alone when one was trapped under a self caused avalanche of pillows. It was very lucky for the pink haired fallen angel that Jack was here and seemingly kind. After all, he'd helped Charlie out of the pillows which got him a very fox like amused smile from the demon. Charlie flailed the rest of the pillows off of him self. "I suppose it is strange for a ghoul to have facial hair," There was a thoughtfulness in Charlies voice hinting that he was imagining such a creature. What came to mind was their lovable lunch lady. "Do you think I'd look good with a fro?" The question came out of no where, sort of. Unless one was a mind reader though, it would seem pretty random. Charlie settled under the curtain there with Jack and stared at the glow from the other demons eyes. There were a few students who had glows but Jack's made Charlie think of glow sticks. Again he was anchored back down to reality with the cats introduction. "Oh right! Ummm. Yeah I like these sort of movies a lot I suppose. Always end on a happy ending usually and you get a chuckle. Name's Charlie. Charlie Night ~ Bro~!" He extended a long sleeved covered hand to the other boil. Charlie was sure not to mention half the time he wasn't sure what was going on. There was no need to mention that , yeah? He just liked seeing how happy people ended up by the end. Usually. Some times there were breasts. After all, Charlie was a teenaged boy.

Jack couldn't help but return the smile, his grin stretching wide, white teeth peeking through his lips as he threw the last few pillows back in place, feeling oddly comforted by the tight quarters that the 'boy's club" had to offer, even if his tail curled in to itself almost, tapping him in the knees. "I'm sure some ghouls would consider it a compliment, almost." He mused outloud, chortling softly as he looked down at his little companion.
"Merry met, Charlie Night." He murmured quickly, grabbing the fabricked hand in a firm handshake, his string-scarred fingers engulfing in blue fabric. When the handshake was said and done, he took the previous verbal outburst seriously, looking the boy over with a stern glance, scratching his goatee and peering through lidded eyes, the glow dimming a little as he peered, before grinning.
"I think you'd rock the 'fro, but it would be pretty difficult to do. You have fine hair." He stated, before patting the smaller demon on the head, ruffling the pink hair on his head. "I used to have really long hair as a kid, it's as straight as an arrow, I would never be able to pull of sick hair styles." He chortled. Jack was easy to go along with what he could, and the boy's spastic thought process amused him greatly.

"Merry...? Who's Merry? I could have sworn you were a Jack," Charlie peered up at Jack a little closer, "You sure you're not a ghoul of some sort mister? Cause I have no problem challenging a ghoul to an arm wrestle if thats the case." No. Charlie was terrible at most physical strength type things, " Pretty much I'm the best at arm wrestling. You can't fake these muscles," The little demon flexed best he could and even made a grrr face at Jack. But then he settled after a bit having tired him self out. Flexing was a lot of work. "You know what. Even if you are a flat chested hairy ghoul, you can stay Merry. I like your face," 'Merry' got a smile from Charlie and a nod of approval. He listened to him/her talk about fine hair and tried to imagine merry with long hair. Merry/Jack ruffled Charlies hair in the process which got a small flail from the demon. "I bet you were a beautiful ghoul Merry. Long hair is nice on ghouls. Why'd you decide to cut it?" Charlie was playing with his own side bangs now. "I think... Once I had long hair but I looked to much like Lizzy... So that was kind of weird." He looked back at Jack, "You'd look beautiful bro. Beautiful." ((I have no idea what just happened. Charlie just took over.))

Merry?
That was a new one. Seemed pretty eloquent, and easy enough to remember. Smiling softly and punting the smaller demon in the shoulder softly, he couldn't keep his amusement in, tail flopping a couple times. "I have yet to be called Merry. I've been called plenty of worse things, I can handle Merry." He offered. "I don't actually have a real name, so you're welcome to call me what you will. Just nothing like late for dinner." He chidded softly.
"Never been a ghoul, though." He thought out loud, scratching his chin hair again, smirking at the mental image, before looking over Charlie with a skeptical look. "I've never quite been a lady." He peeped, "I've been dressed up in Mai's clothing though - as a man, that is. It was a little weird, itchy at best. Have you ever spent a day in a bikini?" He asked, before laughing softly.

"Alright then. Merry it is from now on," There was the deciding nod from Charlie. His mind was made up and from now on Jack was a Merry. The name was cheerful and at the same time very pretty. Charlie thought it was pretty. "Charlies not actually my real name," He gave Merry a wag of the finger, "But us demons gotta keep our names to our selves. Though I suppose it would make more since if I just called my self Sam. Charlies more manly though. Sam sounds like Samantha or something ghouly like that," He made a gagging face. Charlie didn't understand most things but the one thing he did understand was the rules that went with a demons name. You never under any circumstances EVER gave out your name. This had been drilled in his head since when he'd emerged from a pumpkin. Where the name Charlie had came from, let alone a full name like Charlie Night, the demon could not remember. He'd always been a Charlie even if Sam made more sense. Charlie just seemed to stick more. Giving off hints to ones name with a shortened version of ones demon name wasn't a risk even Charlie wanted to take. "I've been a ghoul before," He announced it as if this was an every day thing. "New look, hair and parts. I'm really glad to be a boil over a ghoul. Those lumps of fat on their chest must be painful to keep up. I thought I was going to tip over and die and catch on fire or something," Yeah he was going on this like it was a normal thing. "I looked a lot like Lizzy but way better cause it was me ~". The demon crossed his arms. "Spending every day in a bikini I can only imagine sucks. Specially if the girls got chest fat. As awesome as that is to look at must suck having to carry that ever where." He crossed his arms. "So Merry." There was a serious face and a pause. It looked like Charlie was thinking over a few things, "I think that your cool enough to hang out with me." Another deciding nod. The deed was done.

"I think it's safe to say that a fair amount of us demons are hiding behind masks," the cat-king quipped, before snorting softly in amusement, patting the black lacquered mask on his side. "Names are just something we wear to hide our true selves, I suppose." He felt it was true at least, most demons gave off names, such as Charlie or Jack-B-Nimble, it was a safeguard of a sort.
"Sam is a pretty cool name though, I like the ring of it. I was called Jack-B-Nimble, because I've always been really lanky and tall. I used to climb fences to get out of the place I was raised in," he admitted to the tiny demon, "Since I had never been actually given one, It stuck with me, and since I can't stop growing it seems, it continues to explain me well. Merry is good too," in which that was that.
Like his mask, he was a many of many names and faces - sometimes it was hard to remember them all, but he was always told to keep his 'demon name' sacred. Only two people in the entire world of Halloween knew it, one made him worlds more uncomfortable than the other in knowing it, but he always was made assured that he wasn't going to use it. Not like Jack cared, the man was a dead-beat father as far as he was concerned, and wouldn't have anything to do with him.
"I'm not sure who Lizzy is though," He admitted with a shrug - he hadn't met the ghoul yet - the name didn't strike any bells. "But I can only imagine how those shenanigans go - I have a good friend named Mai who's uh. . . " he said, before sort of putting his hands near his chest, scrinching his face up for the right word, "topheavy. I couldn't imagine trying to lug that around all day - but she does it well enough, I guess." It seemed like an odd idea, becoming the opposite gender for a day, especially when things disappeared and were replaced with other things. "Must'a been pretty confusing," was all he could come out with as he thought about it further.
"You're pretty cool too," broke his line of thought as he looked down to Charlie, grinning wildly again, his telltale smile plastered on his face. "We should do this more often, who'da thunk that couch forts made for good parties."

"Names are something we hide." He gave a nod to that. Charlie wasn't entirely sure how he felt about the name Sam still. But if Jack liked it then he was alright with it. The name Charlie was far superior in the demons own opinion though. Mention that the demon did not know Lizzy gave Charlie a bit of a shock. He was under the impression that anyone he knew, every one knew. Even complete strangers. They just had to know who his friends were right? If it was common knowledge to Charlie then it had to be common knowledge to every single residence in Halloween. But mention of Mai sobered his shock a bit. Who the hell was Mai? "Whoa whoah whoah bro. WHOAH." He held his hand up about the time Jack was declaring they should have more parties. "WHOAH!" He said once more to prove just how important what he was about to say was. "How big of a chest are we talking bro?" The demon went ahead and pinched two areas of his jacket and pulled them out a little, "This big?" and then he really pulled them out, "Or this big?"

All form of conversation halted in his mind when Charlie suddenly raised his arms in declaration, repeating the same word over and over again, the cat-king's eyes widening in both shock and curiousity as he waited patiently for the response, mouth kind of half-open.
"Mai's?" He piped up after the stunned look cleared from his face a little, before he snorted, which broke out in to laughter. "I . . I guess you could say she's pretty stacked, almost top heavy?" He answered half seriously, looking away as if considering the dawn of time. Scrinching his face up a little he gave the younger demon a shrug.
"She'd be easy to spot if you saw her - Ghost Dorm - white skinned a big talisman in the middle of her forehead," Jack pointed to a spot on his forehead, "and fishnet stockings. Really sweet." He left out the part about her basically having her personal harem and sticking said cat demon in her boobs sometimes for easy travel. That was embarrassing enough.

Charlie was half amused by the fact that Jack referred to her as top heavy. He wasn't entirely sure what he meant by that though but he pretended to understand with a nod of his head. "Ghost? I don't know many ghosts...." He made a hmmm sound as he pondered, "I know plenty of undead though! Uh. Theres Amrita and shes the most beautiful ghoul I've ever seen! Shes got half her face missing and and and... Well.." He scratched the back of his head and looked away shyly. "Shes my special friend but... " Then a defeated sigh followed, "A little while ago she changed and I don't think I feel the same feelings I felt before." Understanding feelings and Charlie were not two things that worked. It was like oil and water. They just didn't mix. As quickly as Charlies mood had swung down he was right back up again with a peppy smile. "So you .. You... Um... You got a pair of brea.. I mean .. ghoul?"

"I seem to meet a lot of ghosts, to be honest, Undead too!" he admitted, thinking back at the interactions he had, scratching his chin, before thinking of his original trio, Ghost, Demon, Monster. Bells was a Reaper - as was the False Deity . . . "Scratch that, I seem to be pretty universal in my endeavours," he decided with a nod, before looking down at his little friend, a wry smile on his mouth.
"An object of your affection, it must be nice," he murmured softly, adjusting himself in the makeshift chair as the movie moved towards the climax, and a terribad musical number that always made the cat cringe. You either stick it or you don't, and this one flopped. "I think everyone is entitled to finding someone that their heart beats for, no matter how much they change, you just gotta stick around for them."
Exhaling through his nose, he thought of the Demon's question, his face scrinching up a little. "I've had a fair amount of opportunities over the little while - a lot of ghouls . . . " he trailed for a moment, before shaking his head "AND boils oddly, who had attempted to gather my affections, but no. I haven't gotten someone for my own yet. I'm about as single as the number one." He admitted with a shrug. It was kind of sad, but at the same time, almost a feat at best - spending a whole year in school and not becoming attached to anyone romantically.
But that was what friends were for, right? To keep you amused and content with life. "I don't intend to entangle anyone with me unless they ask me themself. I'm too much of a vagabond to want to put that kind of a lifestyle on anyone's shoulders."
He was feeling a sense of strong déjà-vu.

Jack sounded like a well rounded fella to Charlie. All this talk of different students wanting his affections and how snazzy it all must have been. The little pink haired demon couldn't help but feel a small ping of envy. Only he didn't want all the affections. Just one. Deep down he knew it was done and dead what ever him and Amrita had shared. Not that he'd openly admit it. But even Charlie knew what once was had faded. There was no going back to that. For the sake of being pleasant the demon kept a smile and hid his complex feelings that were beyond his understanding. "Tell you them selves eh?" He gave a little Canadian twang at the end of his question. Whether this was on purpose to jab at Nerp or if Charlie was just secretly from Canada, no one would ever know. "I suppose thats a good tactic. But what if no one ever comes to you and says a thing? What if you explode? I don't know man. Sounds like it could be dangerous." He stroked his chin thoughtfully for a moment. "But could also be pretty cool if you explode. Jack. Just be careful. No need to explode." This was a serious moment.
