Kushami was proving to be a pain in the a** but tolerable. Gyongyi was still a little confused how she'd gotten roped in to such an odd partnership with such an odd leopard. The constant whining probably? Maybe. The savanna was vast though and for a leopardess like Gyongyi it would be all to easy to sneak off and disappear for a while. A little to easy. Maybe she'd feel bad.
But she was even more annoyed right now because Kushami had yet again talked her in to taking her shift of hunting. Gyongyi was still perplexed how it had happened and why she was the one looking for the freshest of meats. Scavenging wasn't a bad thing. Meat was meat to Gyongyi but Kushami wouldn't touch meat if it had been touched by another.
So now, sourfully, the light tanned leopardess found her self stalking about the tall grass carefully in looks for a fast and easy kill. It was hard to focus on being quiet when one was so wrapped up in rage though. One got careless when full of rage. In Gyongyi's carelessness the female managed to snap a twig beneath her paw alerting any prey with in ear shot of her position. Needless to say, anything worth the hunt was sent running. And rightfully so as Gyongyi only had killing on the mind. A small bird flew just out of reach of the leopardess adding a little extra insult to injury. Gyongyi only watched, quite annoyed, as the possible suppers fled.
She'd have to try another hunting area it looked like. It was quite possible she'd return back to Kushami with nothing to show for her efforts. OR she could just NOT return and said she did. The ladder was starting to sound more appealing with every paw step she took. No more Kushami did have its cons but it also had its pros. Namely no more childish whining and manipulation. Gyongyi still couldn't put her paw on how Kushami time after time managed to manipulate her in to doing MOST of the hunting. It was always something lame too like 'my paw hurts' or 'I already trieddddd' or something even more bull shittish.
Gyongyi shifted her eyes as if she was worried that Kushami might be on her trail and reading her thoughts. Then the leopardess took a step and then another in the opposite direction of where 'home' lay. Every paw step there after started to get easier and after many moments even Gyongyi's head was held up high. She didn't need that blue brat leopardess. Surely Kushami could trick another sucker in to doing most of the hunting for her after all. Gyongyi was sure of it. Maybe Kushami would even meet the right male leopard to take care of her and worship her or something. It would be selfish of Gyongyi to stay and get in the way of that after all. Leaving just got easier and easier as thoughts of justification swam through the light tan leopardess's mind. Freedom was becoming more and more real. Soon she'd be free. No wait, she'd always been free! She was just now taking charge of her own life. Yeah! That was it.
The sound of rushing water greeted our now liberated hero as she carried on wards to the vast unknown. Well the unknown being on her own had been known only a few weeks prior to a mishap of a run in with a certain blue leopardess. But now she would reintroduce her self to her independence and she would dip her neck down and drink from the waters freedom. Life was going to be alright after all.
A few nights and a few days carried on carefree since Gyongyi decided to liberate her self. Her day was filled with sleep and her nights were filled with exploration and hunting. She fed on what she like, even if it was scavenged. She rolled around on back scratching rocks with out a care in the world. It took a few days for her to be completely content however, Gyongyi found that being completely content was not exciting. Sure, she didn't have EVERYTHING she wanted, but it was close. And it was boring and dull. Gyongyi missed having contact with something to talk to. Now she was alone and bored and very lonely.
There was no way in hell that Gyongyi was about to go crawling back to her ******** up alliance with Kushami though. No way in hell she wanted to play patsy to such a childish leopard. But Gyongyi wanted companionship of some kind. Something to keep the whole feeling she felt around Kushami and even her birth family. Gyongyi was facing the reality that being all alone was not all that. It kind of hurt. Even smelly hyena's kept to packs for the most part. No, felines weren't really pack animals but that didn't mean they didn't enjoy a companion of some sort.
Gyongyi let out a huff. Where did one go to meet other leopards any ways? For a split second Gyongyi looked back toward the way she'd wandered. Far off she knew that Kushami was more then likely attempting to manipulate another feline or possibly canine to do her bidding. The leopardess shuttered a moment. There was no way she was going to go back to that. Willing slavery was not something that appealed to her in the least. Gyongyi looked onward. She'd possibly be graced by other life if she continued to travel on her own. Hopefully a kinder traveler who didn't mind some companionship would cross her path. An optimistic smile flowered on the leopardesses maw. That sounded just peachy to her. Maybe luck would have a handsome male leopard fall gracefully to her feet. One with a loving heart. They'd start a family maybe and ... Well that was just silly thinking. Gyongyi knew this but still her female heart yearned a bit for that.
So onward Gyongyi went in her quest to end her loneliness.
