"I know of a tavern not far from here Where you can get some mighty fine beer The company's true and the wenches are pretty It's the greatest damn place in the whole of the city If you're looking for crewmates, you'll sure find 'em there Cutthroats and lowlifes and worse I should dare Ol' Nancy don't care who comes to her inn It's a den of debauchery violence and sin
So come take a drink and drown your sorrows And all of our fears will be gone till tomorrow We'll have no regrets and live for the day In Nancy's Harbour Cafe
If you're looking to go on a glorious quest There's a man there who knows of an old treasure chest For some pieces of eight and a tankard of ale He'll show you the map and tell you it's tale And then there's Nancy, the lovely barmaiden She may be old but her beauty ain't fading Ol' Nancy don't care who comes to her inn It's a den of debaucher violence and sin
So come take a drink and drown your sorrows And all of our fears will be gone till tomorrow We'll have no regrets and live for the day In Nancy's Harbour Café" (Alestorm "Nancy the Tavern Wench")

Zion's Tavern
A farily large tavern on the outskirts of a major city. Four stories high with one side looking out over the ocean, waves crash against the stone foundation underneath. The tavern is built of sturdy timber that has been blackened and covered with brine and moss on all but the side facing away from the ocean, which features a large double door and a sign bearing the name "Zion's Tavern". The basement goes out farther then the tavern above it, and is rumored to contain all sorts of weird things. The regular storehouse (where the downstairs steps lead to) leads to several heavily locked doors, all quite sturdy and reinforced with magic. Beyond them, only Zion knows. The ground floor contains the tavern area, the kitchens, and the bathrooms. 2nd floor are the rooms available for customers, 12 small rooms, clean, but containing only the bare esentials. 3rd and 4th floors are the employees quarters, average sized rooms available to any employee who needs a place to stay. Almost a third of the top floor is Zion's room.
The area around the tavern is covered in docks and shipyards, filled with all sorts of sailors, lowlifes, homeless, and any other kind of unpleasant person you could think of. The city is quite large and fairly nice, but like most cities, the outskirts, with the docks in particular, are filled with violence. Zion's tavern is both the safest place in that area, and also the most dangerous, for that is where the worst of the worst gather.
The tavern contains about 30 tables, a large fireplace, a small stage for the musician, a huge bar, a bounty board, and several chandeleirs hanging overhead. The tavern is home to the worst drunken brawls on the continent, but Zion "Doesn't permit fighting....inside at least". The rule is lax though, and there is almost always someone fighting. Employees look to Zion to decide if the fight should be broken up or not. In which case, the employees will either throw some one out, or beat them unconcious. No one has ever been perminitley banned, but the threat has always been talked about.
The tavern is home to all sorts of mythical creatures, humans rarely tread there. All are accepted, so long as they don't cause too many problems. The tavern is a safe haven for anyone, good or evil, and a place where they can forget their wars and just share a drink and companionship.
Malik Zion himself owns and runs the place, and can almost always be found either behind the bar or interacting with the patrons. Known to be quite friendly, he upholds a good reputation, and only participates in the fights if its beyond his employees. Only the oldest patrons have seen him fight, but even those that haven't would be wary to mess with him.
Any who are looking for a place to stay at a modest price can inquire at the bar, though be warned, if you're looking for a quiet place to sleep you'll want to find somewhere else. The management reserves the right to kick anyone out at anytime, usually with no refund. Any broken furniture in your room will be charged to you, and if you cannot pay when you leave, may have to be worked off or reimbursement will be completed through some other means....
All are welcome, the fire's always lit, the musics always playing, and Zion's tavern is always filled with fighting, laughter, and song.

Rules/ Regulations Well, I'm sure you all have a general idea of rules already, or else you wouldn't be here. I'm a simple and easy going type of guy, so I'll try to make this easy. 1. In this rp, I am god. I have the ability to decide anything in the rp, no questions asked. Don't worry, I'm too lazy to do too much. 2. No auto-hitting, godmodding, whatever. You all know not to just write "cuts his arm off" or to just dodge everything, I trust you guys. 3. Keep the post length above one liners, and under 4 paragraphs. Introductions can be somewhat of an exception to be longer, but come on, I don't need to read a novel on your character. Just anything necessary to understand, and what can be seen at a glance. If I know everything your character is thinking, it becomes difficult to realistically converse with them. 4. pm profiles to me, I will probably approve it, then I'll post it here (or in an OOC thread if Ookami doesn't like it). 5. This is set in modern times, but think of the tavern as a place that seems behind the times. It still functions much like a medieval tavern would. I won't mind guns and such, but nothing too advanced. Since the rp is set inside the tavern, cars and such shouldn't even appear, okay? 6. Respect the employees/owner. Because of various issues that would develop otherwise, please respect the power levels of the employees and the owner(Zion). It wouldn't be right to have someone come and kill/mortally wound the owner and take control of the tavern. 7. Violence is acceptable and encouraged, but Zion won't say so. NPC's will always be fighting in the tavern, and the overall atmosphere can be compared to Tortuga in Pirates of the Caribbean. That doesn't mean you should be burning/ destroying the entire tavern. I'm okay with a couple small holes in the ceiling or walls, but I can't have my entire tavern be destroyed. 8. Romance is fine, its a crazy place. But keep it pg-13 or so. After that I don't want to see it. You can take it elsewhere or timeskip, just so long as I don't have to read it. 9. I don't care if you want to make your posts pretty or not, but please don't have a post with more embellishment than actual content. This is about roleplaying, not your skill with code and photoshop. And please keep the font legible, no bright yellows or size 7 stuff.
Otherwise, just be respectful and fair. I could be persuaded to have major plot changes, like say the tavern burning down or someone fighting to a draw with Zion and becoming a co-owner, but you would need to talk it over in detail first with me. Any other questions, concerns, suggestions, or other I would be open and happy to hear if you pm me, or just ask in OOC (please use brackets/parentheses when typing OOC stuff).

Profiles/ Openings PM your profiles to me.
Employees needed(I need at least some of these before we can start): Owner Bartenders (2-3) Waiters/Waitresses (2-5) (Have 1) Cleaners/busboys (1-3)
If you have any other ideas for jobs, just let me know before you create a profile so I can tell you if its reasonable or not. Such as cooks, since you'd be in the back cooking, you wouldn't be able to really participate in the rp, but if you have a good idea for it, I'd be willing to listen.
Other Jobs/Classes: Bounty Hunters Criminals in hiding Bodyguards/ Important people (Only people like mob bosses or the like would really show up in a place like this. ~Unless it's someone specifically looking for Zion~) Travellers/Adventurers Refugees Regular people (if you're human though, you'll need a good reason to come here) Sailors .....
Profile Skeleton Now I really don't care if all the profiles are made the same, so long as you include the important information. Whatever you deem important about your character, the stuff you want people to know in general about them, and what people need to know to interact with them is what you need to put in. Here's a basic skeleton, but feel free to change it around and add stuff to it. Make sure it includes their proffesion or reason for coming to the tavern though (employees must have a reason for originally coming and why they started working there, feel free to talk that over with me to build up our combined past).
Username: Character Name: Age: Gender and sexual orientation: Race: Job Class: Weapons: Abilities/Powers: Personality: Bio: Reason for coming: Appearance:
I tend to do my own profiles farily detailed, which makes them a bit long, but it helps lessen the amount of stuff I have to write in my first post about my rpc, and just makes it easier for others to interact with you. If everything is clarified, then there can be no room for misconceptions.

~Accepted Profiles~
Username: Malik Zion RP Character Name: Malik Zion Race: Elven Age: Eons, but appears mid 20's in human years (somewhere between 40-60 in elven). Height: 6'1" Weight: near 200 with everything on, 140 without Eye Color: Dark Green Hair Color: Black Gender/ Sexual Orientation: Straight Male Job Class: Owner/ Proprieter/ Bartender/ Bounty Manager Personality: Zion has lived a long long time, and learned a lot. The only way to survive immortality is to live relatively carefree, being kind and helpful will make him feel good, but other times he may choose to be cruel and hurtful. Most of the time though, he is found in a state of whimsical uncaringness, doing just whatever seems interesting. Bio: Zion's past took place eons ago, so long that he's not even sure if he remembers correctly. Born in an elven village during a great war with almost all other sentient races, he was quickly trained as a warrior and sent off to battle at a young age. He rose through the ranks with many feats of courage, valor, and wisdom and eventually helped end the war, killing enemy generals by the dozens. After the war, he left and wandered the world, trying to escape from all the killing he had seen. For several centuries he wandered, until as an old man he stumbled upon the way to the fountain of youth. He drank and returned to his prime, then went off to explore the world again. For eons he has explored most of the most beatiful and desolate parts of the world, appearing as an iconic figure in the histories of many nations to help them banish evil and set up their governments. They called him many different names, and he was known all over the world. Though all of that was far in the past, recently he has been far more quiet, simply the owner and proprieter of a small tavern. Rumors still spread about him and who he once was, but very few know for sure, and most are ignorant entirely. Weapons _____ Primary: The four swords he carries, one on each side of his hips (longswords), and two crisscrossing on his back (katanas). _____ Secondary: All of the daggers, senbon, and shuriken he carries in his coat. Powers/Abilities _____ Body: As elven, after eons of training, and with the water from the fountain of youth even further boosting them, his strength, speed, stamina, eyesight, hearing, smell, and nearly every other atribute is boosted far above the normal. _____ Fountain of Youth: After drinking from the fountain for so long, and so much of it, his blood is literally imbued with its effects. These serve to further increase all of his base attributes, and add especially to his regeneration skills. His blood has gained the ability to bring back any item to its most glorious state. Such as if a rusty swords were to be coated with his blood, it would turn back into a newly-forged blade, appearing almost polished once the blood is wiped off. Since this blood runs throughout his body, his cuts heal very quickly and even grevious wounds can be healed in a matter of hours. The water also makes his blood highly resistant to most magics, giving him some defense to magical attacks and almost complete resistance to blood controlling effects. Sadly, this all gives his blood a very special scent and taste, making him quite delectable to vampires who have hunted him for both the taste and magical youth effects his blood would give them. _____ Abilities: Zion is highy skilled with lightning magics and earth magics. Controlling the growth of plants, he is able to trap, bind, and kill his enemies with any sort of wood nearby. Reason for Coming: After so long of fighting, wandering, and being on his own, Zion sumbled one day into a tavern near the edge of the sea. The lights were glowing even in the rain, laughter and music were pouring out, and as he watched, someone was being thrown out the front door. He stayed at that tavern for some time, enjoying himself as just a regular guy. The people there didn't know him, or didn't care, and he got along very well with the patrons. Zion and the owner, a middle aged half elven woman, got along quite well for a while, and they enjoyed each other very much. But eventually, Zion had to leave and travel, as was his destiny, but he returned there often for years. Until one summer, he came back and all that remained was the burnt timbers of the old tavern. He was told that a particularly bad group of guys had got into a fight there and ended up destroying the place, killing the owner in the process. Zion disappeared for a long time, but eventually created the Zion Tavern in memory of that place, continents away. Appearance:
----------------------------------------------- Username: Ookami-Akuryou Character Name: Fainauriel (Fye-now-ree-ell) [Goes by Fai] Age: 19 Gender and sexual orientation: Female, Bisexual Race: Elf Job Class: Waitress Weapons: Fainauriel likes to use bow and arrows, but when she can't, she always keeps a knife in her right shoe and a dagger hidden at the small of her back. Can never be too careful. Abilities/Powers: She is a sharp shooter, able to hit a target from a far distance. Her powers include being able to manipulate plants to her will. Personality: Fai is a kind, outgoing soul who loves talking to others and getting to know them. Bio: Fai doesn't talk much about her past, and she plans to keep it that way. When she was young, she lived with her parents in a cottage in the woods. It was a nice little home, for it was just the three of them. Her mom, dad, and her. Her mother taught her of her powers, showing her the good she can do in dark days. Her father was a quiet man, but he showed his love for his daughter by helping her with anything she needed help with. At the age of fifteen, Fai's parents went missing; just up and vanished. For a while she thought they abandoned her, but she later realized they were killed. She wants to one day find their killer and bring justice. Even if that meant getting killed herself. But for now, she works at the tavern, hoping to save up enough to go searching. Reason for coming: It's a job. Money is money. Appearance:
