I was driving to my fiance's apartment with him and I saw a turtle trying to cross the street so I had to park and run over to get him off the road. Little did I know it wasn't just a turtle, it was a big snapping turtle. And he was pissed. It must have taken at least 20 minutes to push him across the road with a traffic cone so he wouldn't chomp my fingers off. I would have simply picked him up and carried him to the stream on the other side but he was kinda scary when he threw his head out at me. But I still saved him. mad

I rescued a snapping turtle he was on the double yellow line when I was on my way to see a friend. It took me about five minutes to get him across.
He started trying to turn towards me and when I tried to lift him up he lunged (I was behind him) I squatted in front of him and told him "I'm just trying to help you, will you let me help you?" Then tried a few more times before finally just setting my hands on top of his shell and waiting for him to calm down (he lunged twice in this time) I lifted him up, not afraid of dropping him and ran him to the grass on the side of the road, far enough into it to where he wouldn't get his tail accidentally squished or hurt by another car.
