After the fight with Marcus has Tori thinking on how many different ways she could fight using her weapon. She even got books on weapons to find out what other things that could be done with her weapon. Currently she was taking some notes on flails and how they were used in history and Aklin had at first found it interesting, but now he was bored. Tori did chuckle a little at the head exploding part. Ok you do have a point and I do think that I have read all that I can on flails too. She replied to Aklin and he cheered as he didn't even have to threat her with questions to go and practice. Once at the training grounds, Tori looked around to see if there was anyone there to spar and not seeing anyone at the moment she started to arrange the dummies in positions she wanted them to be in. Summoning up Aklin, Tori started to practice using what she had learned starting with her sword first and then practicing with the chain and ball of her weapon.

"Not bad, not bad..."
She had been watching from a distance, leaning against one of the stationary dummies on the training field; she had originally wanted to do some training on her own, but why train when you can watch someone else do it? Besides, while this girl looked like she was new - judging from her coat, which looked like a standard issue trainee coat - she was actually trying pretty hard to use her weapon efficiently.
Hard work was something she could definitely admire.

Tori had been total concentrating on what she was doing that she didn't expect anyone to come and watcher her. So she jumped slightly as she let go of her chain too soon as it missed its target when hearing someone telling her 'not bad, not bad'. Breathing deeply to catch her breath at getting a little scared as she walked up to the other girl a little nervous and saw from the looks of her coat an intermediate too all the better. She might have lost to Marcus but that wasn't going to stop her from asking and it looked that she had also come to practice too Tori thought. As Aklin liked this idea since as it would be better than fighting dummies. "Hi, do you want to spar, over there?" she asked pointing to a spot clear of dummies. "I'm Victoria by way, but I go by Tori," she added sheepishly as she had forgotten her manors and smiled a little.

"I don't see why not," She grinned at the invitation to a spar, summoning her own weapon as she walked away from where she was standing. As she moved, the chains clutched tightly in her gloved hands rubbed noisily together, "Tori? That's a cute name... I'm Ariane."
She pulled the chains taut between two hands, and raised her weapon in a defensive stance, her expression determined, "You first."

“Cool,” Tori replied with a smile as Aklin got more excited. “Um, thanks and it’s nice to meet you, Ariane,” she answered as she weaved out of the dummies she had been practicing to were Ariane was heading with her weapons chain clanking. Getting a better grip on the hilt of her sword as Tori watched Ariane taking a defensive stance. “Alright,” she replied as she charged up and taking a swipe with her sword. Hp: 40/40 Damage: 1 Charge: 1/3

"Not bad," She grinned when the sword hit, using the chains to keep the blade away from her, pushing against the blade with a thoughtful look, "That's a rather unique weapon you have there... I've never seen anything quite like it."
Wrapping the chains of her weapon once around the blade to keep it there, she took a quick sidestep, and swung the steel ball on one side to whack Tori on her stomach. Quickly disengaging, she then took several steps backwards to put some distance between them.

“Thanks,” she replied smiling a little more, while Aklin kept on reminding her to keep up with her own defense. “It is and I haven’t either. Also sometimes hard to wield,” Aklin was also purring in delight at what Ariane had said. Tori was total not prepared for what happened next when Ariane wrapped her chains around her sword and tugged a few times to get it free. Then she was a little shocked to get smacked in the stomach and that hurt. “Good one,” she replied as two can play that game as she changed her holding on her chain and charged using her own ball to hit Ariane. Hp: 30/40 Damage: 4 Charge: 2/3

When Tori came at her using the ball - instead of the sword - Ariane couldn't help but grin at how fast she was picking all of this up, "You can use your chains to defend. The good thing about your weapon, is that it is both a sharp and blunt weapon... I'm sure they'll both come in handy one day."
Her weapon was being grumpy when as her grin widened, and she swung it above her head before aiming for Tori behind her knees, delivering a low and forceful blow, "Over time, it gets easier to wield your weapon. It takes practice though."

“Ah, I never thought to do that, I just have been using my sword for that. That is true and once I get the hang of both of them I think they will too. But right now the chain is just hard to use,” Tori said as up until her spar with Marcus most of the time her chain had been a tripping issue. Tori saw the attack coming but there was nothing she could do and took the blow to which she fell forward and it also hurt more that the last blow too. Work on defense a lot she thought to herself. Quickly getting back to her feet, “It looks like I will need lots of practice then,” Smiling as both weapon and hunter were having fun even if they were getting there butts kicked. She started to swing her chain behind her as she charged and then swung her ball at Araine’s legs. Hp: 19/40 Damage: 4 Charge: 3/3

"You'll get the hang of it," She chuckled, wincing at the hit on her legs; the Fear shield was at least holding up and doing its job, "See, you're learning already~"
'Yeah, I know... But that means that she's about ready too,' She paused, looking up at Tori as she felt Kintama pulsing in her hands, begging for release, "So... Your weapon's charged attack. Let me see it?" She eyed the weapon in her opponent's hand, wondering what it could do; it was almost exciting, in its own way.

Smiling bigger as Aklin was happy to be fighting but he was also begging her for release too. “That is true,” Aklin keep on bugging her for release as she thought she could hear water, strange but didn’t give it a second thought. “Yep, he is. Alright I can do that,” Tori answered as her weapon murred in delight as the gem on the sword blade started to glow brighter and thick water started to ooze from it coating the blade making it sharper. Grinning as she charged at Ariane and taking a large swing on her sword and swiping it to Ariane’s side. Hp: 14/40 Damage: 23 Charge: 0/3 1/2

She took a moment to recover from the hit, grabbing where Tori had slashed her and taking in several deep breathes, "My turn now~" Straightening up, she put even more distance between herself and her opponent, taking quick back steps. Once she had put enough space between them, she swung her weapon over her head and tossed it in Tori's direction, the glow emitting from the skulls on Kintama increasing in intensity as the balls grew in size.
Once it hit Tori, the chains begun to lengthen, wrapping around her legs with the use of inertia, the swinging motion of the balls hoping to make her trip and push her to the ground, working like a pair of bolas.
"Do you yield?" She chuckled, walking towards Tori as she desummoned and summoned her weapon back to her hands from around her legs.

Aklin murred in delight as the attack had connected. Tori after the attack had backed up just a little just wondering how Ariane was going to attack as if she had her charged attack she did as well. Hearing Ariane say it was her turn Tori did take a somewhat of a defensive stance but unsure what would be effective since she hadn't spared with with someone that had a chain weapon. Tori watched in awe with how well Ariane wielded her weapon to which she was distracted when said weapon was thrown in her direction and the balls of the weapon got bigger to which Tori's eyes got little bigger in surprise. Tori had thought that it might be a good idea to back up more, but it was a little too late as she gotten hit with a lot of force of the attack. In mid-step as the chains started to wrap around her legs that she started to lose balance and flailed a little keep it but with the power of the attack and not being able move her legs properly. Tori fell back wards onto her butt first and then her back, oh was she going to feel this in the morning since her shield was gone and wanted to rest and sleep. Aklin kept on talking to her without relenting as he didn't want her to pass out at all. But as she had fallen Aklin had unsummoned himself were he wouldn't cause more damage. "Yep I total yield. I'm too exhausted to even think of not doing so," Tori replied as she trying to catch her breath. ""I will say that you hit hard and fast and thanks for sparing with me too," she added just laying on the ground thinking to herself that once she got her breath back that she would attempt to get up. Hp: -4

Ariane chuckled, desummoning her weapon back into a necklace as she grinned, "You performed pretty well for a trainee though. At least you're willing to work hard~" She extended out a hand towards Tori, in case she needed any help getting up; after all, she had taken a pretty hard fall, at least from her perspective, "You're welcome. You provided me with a pretty good work out too... We should do that again sometime"
"Going back to the dorms? Or would you like to come drink a cup of something warm in the cafeteria with me?" Her grin widened a little, her hand still held out for the trainee to take.

"Thanks and yes you are right as hard work always pays of in the end," Tori replied as she took the hand that Ariane had offered to help her up as she total needed as Tori wasn't sure if she could have gotten up herself right then and with Ariane's help Tori was back on her feet if a little shaky, but filling a little better. "Well that is good that we both got something good out of the spar," she answered smiling slightly. "Yes we should and next time I will be stronger too," "I would love to come with you to the cafeteria for something warm to drink," Tori replied as her smile got a little bigger. As she did admire Ariane for her strength and knowledge on how to use her own weapon that one day Tori would have the same.
