Gyongyi was proving to be very useful to Kushami. She'd brought back a meal almost every night that week for the two leopardesses to share. Of course, Kushami took first dibs on the best parts, but the blue leopardess was kind enough to leave some for the light tanned leopard. Gyongyi her self was still wondering just how in the hell she'd gotten roped in to such a 'partnership'. Kushami's cunning was still a far off mystery. Every time Gyongyi would protest, her words would be twisted and turned against her until for some reason she was the one feeling bad.
This situation was just ideal for Kushami. She got to lay about all day and was almost always guaranteed something to eat in the evenings. No matter how big or small, there was always something to eat. Best yet, the leopardess did not have to go out and hunt it for her self.
But this 'partnership' was starting to really get to Gyongyi. She'd just brought back the scraps of a jackal she'd managed to steal from a hyena only to be greeted with a spoiled sigh from Kushami. It was obvious that Kushami was not completely pleased nor cared that Gyongyi had just risked her neck to get this meat.
"Something wrong.." The tone was strained and obviously annoyed coming from Gyongyi.
"No.. no... Well... actually if you must know..." Kushami began and Gyongyi merely rolled her eyes. Here it came another thing that was all her fault apparently, "This meat looks like it was completely slobbered on and messily drug through the dirt. You can't expect me to just EAT this with a grin now can you? Where'd you get such a sorry piece of meat any ways? You steal it from a pack of wild dogs?" Kushami poked the remains of the jackal with her blue paw. Gyongyi was now gritting her teeth hard. "I mean really. It looks like some one rolled around on this meat or something. Its pitiful. BUT I guess it will have to do now won't it.." There was another passive aggressive sigh to follow.
"You don't have to eat it if you don't want to." Gyongyi dipped her head down and was about to take a bite of the meat only to be greeted by a big blue paw stopping her.
"Come now. Of COURSE I'll eat it. You DID go through an AWFUL lot of trouble stealing SOME ONE ELSES kill." Kushami dipped her own head down and took a few bites of the meat. The passive aggressiveness of Kushami did not go unnoticed at all by Gyongyi.
"Some times scavenging is much harder then killing. But its not like you'd know that or anything," Gyongyi huffed and took a seat staring down at her stolen goods.
"I suppose your right . The bit about me not knowing how hard it is. Usually I go for the freshest and finest meat." Kushami took another bite of the jackal.
"I haven't ever seen you hunt," Gyongyi added bitterly.
"Thats probably a good thing then. Your not supposed to be seen when you hunt after all," Kushami tore off another big piece of bloody meat and chewed on it messily. It was at this point that Gyongyi went ahead and took a big bite of the jackal only to be met with a nice ol' scowl from Kushami. Nothing was said for a long moment. There were only chewing sounds as the two leopardesses attempted to out chew the other. Finally Gyongyi took a big gulp.
"Im sure such an amazing hunter doesn't need my help then. You're probably better then me after all so I should probably take my leave. Enjoy the stolen meat," Gyongyi sat up and did a big cat stretch before heading off for the brush. She was blocked off by the blue leopardess though.
"Where do you think your going mmmm?" Kushami, slightly bigger then Gyongyi, stared down at the light tan spotted leopardess. A wicked grin sat firmly on Kushami's maw.
"You said you were an amazing hunter. I feel my work here is done," Gyongyi's tone was flat and matter of fact. She was tired of being mooched off of and she was tired of the passive aggressive behavior.
"But I still very much need your help. You can't just up and leave me here can you? Not after such a fall?" There was a faked wince of pain. "Our partnership is still much in need. Don't go."
"I don't even know your name. Your a stranger and a moocher now get out of my way." Gyongyi glared up at Kushami.
"Kushami and no. I won't get out of your way. Please stay?" The blue leopardess gave her best puppy dog eyes. This was met with a huge sigh from Gyongyi.
"Stay... I just ..." Gyongyi let out one more sigh, "Alright... If I stay then we need to take turns hunting. I can't be expected to be the one to turn up with meat every night."
"You want me to hunt? But ... I'm injured still." Kushami winced again. "Im so huuuuuuuurt."
"That garbage is wearing thin. Come now, your acting as childish as a cub. Stop it and admit that your fine." Gyongyi took a seat in front of Kushami.
"...But I'm hurtttttt" The leopardess rolled on her back and winced. There was a long drawn out sigh from Gyongyi as she watched Kushami continue her act. Finally Gyongyi rolled her eyes.
"Alright. Alright. I'll stay." There was a gruff dissatisfied snort from Gyongyi, "But you will hunt tomorrow and prove to me that this partnership is indeed worth my time. Otherwise I will move on and disappear in to the vastness of the savanna. There is plenty of room for me to up and disappear after all and you'll have to find another to trick." Gyongyi shook her head a little shocked that she'd just agreed to stay.
Kushami was pleased. The blue leopardess sat up and shook her head, "Alright so then its a deal. But no more dog slobbered meat."
"Alright no scavenging. That goes for you too then," Gyongyi watched Kushami's expression falter slightly. This pleased Gyongyi.
"Fine by me." Kushami gave Gyongyi a nod. An alliance had been born between two leopardesses.
