Chloe was already at the infirmary. Vacation or no, this was where she would likely be spending all her time. After all, a locale like this was likely going to result in a fair few injuries. Snow and ice were always a bit treacherous and given what she'd seen of the student body so far, she had absolutely no doubt she would stay as busy as ever.
The infirmary was spartan and clinical, but sufficient. She'd brought enough of her own supplies to augment their standard supplies that she didn't think it would be much of a problem to hold out for four days.
She finally finished carrying in the last of her supplies, setting the box down and rubbing her sore shoulder. Now to put things away. But...rest first.

gムd It was probably a stupid thing that Gad hadn't asked for directions before he took off from the dorm. It took about three buildings and a few turns before he realized that he was lost, which, needless to say, frightened him to death. He had scampered around in confusion, following various people and almost asking for directions before he chickened out and had gone to wander by himself. He couldn't read any of the signs and no one seemed safe enough to ask, so Gad had pretty much been stuck hoping.. until he realized the building he had been circling for the last few minutes was probably the infirmary.
The windows pretty much gave it away as he glanced inside during one horribly impolite impulse. He recognized the doctor, much to his pleasure, and he opened the door, stepping inside the probably clean and neat – oh, god, there's a box. Lots of boxes! He clenched his jaw as he saw them, the anxiety of not knowing what was in them enough to have him creeping along the wall away from them as fast as he could. He whispered out to the doctor, wherever she may be, as he kept his eyes trained on them, “..Doctor, I.. are you here? It's Gad. I'm sorry – what's.. what's in the box? I shouldn't ask, but..” He swallowed – rude or not, he had to know if he should start running or not!

"Just some of my supplies, Gad," Chloe said with a smile. "Nothing that can hurt you, I assure you. Mostly bottles with medicine and that sort of thing. Certainly nothing alive, if that's your concern." She had just been filling her little electric kettle so she could make herself something warm to drink, and added more in case Gad could be gently coerced into staying and having a cup as well.
"Is there anything I can do for you?" she asked. "Please don't mind the boxes. I was having a bit of a rest before putting the things away. It was a long walk here and I'm a bit tired out."
"You can sit somewhere if you like."

gムd Ah.. ah, just medicine. Medical tools – Gad could handle those things! They were more familiar than the snow and sky to him, after all. He hesitantly allowed himself to stand apart from the wall and, with some time, to turn his head so he could look at the doctor since he spotted her through the infirmary window. She looked just as nice as she had been at school and that had him relieved; he thought she may not want to see him! Especially after he had done that to Isamu, the poor boy. “You're tired?” He questioned after that statement with a frown, glancing back to the boxes – there were many of them, but.. they weren't that big. Nothing bigger than he was used to, at any rate. Ah, but he did remember she couldn't lift the bag of ice, either! He creased his brow in sympathy before sitting down on the floor as she offered – it was better he took there, just in case a more important sick person needed a bed. One never knew!
“I can help. I can put things away good.” He nodded, confident in that ability – oh, but.. “..You.. aren't bad at putting it away.. Gad – I wasn't saying I was better at it; I'm sorry.” He glanced away – how stupid of him! He continued on as he took to playing with the hem of his shirt, trying to focus on being something other than a bumbling moron. “..You don't have to help if you're mad, but.. I wanted someone to talk to, because I.. I don't know anyone and you're nice and this place.. isn't.” She would probably throw him out – though, Gad would have to help her with that considering his size. Oh, well, at least the snow would cushion his fall.

Chloe.Bruadair "Actually, that is a very sweet offer," Chloe said, smiling. "I would very much appreciate help. I was just about to ask you but thought it might be rude since you just arrived. Unfortunately, I'm not a very strong person so I get tired easily." She went and crouched down in front of him on her knees. "Don't worry, I'm not mad at you at all. You're a very helpful person. I actually really like that about you. So, if you like the idea, why don't you help me put away my supplies, and then I can make us something warm to drink--like tea or hot chocolate?"
He was such a sweet man but so lacking in confidence. She hoped, at the very least, that over time he would stop worrying so much about offending her or making her mad. She wasn't sure what his background was but it was sort of sad to see him so constantly convinced he'd done something wrong. "I'm really glad you think I'm nice. I think you're very nice as well."

gムd Gad looked back at her as she crouched, feeling relieved when she didn't seem mad or even sound like it – in fact, she sounded.. pleased? Had he done good? He let his hands stop their anxious fiddling as he relaxed some, smiling back at her cautiously at first. “Yes, I like that.” All of it! She even said she liked him – or at least started to imply it or.. maybe he was hearing things and she hadn't said it at all, but he couldn't hallucinate her expression! She didn't look irritated in the least, so he could at least be confident in that.
“Ah – water, hot water.” He replied quickly, not wanting her to start making tea or hot chocolate if he wouldn't drink it. Not that he wouldn't, but.. he didn't want to have to drink it! He started to stand up, but he went slow so she had a chance to get up first – he didn't want to be rude and leave her on the floor all on her own, after all. “You are very nice.” He said again, especially now that he knew she was happy to hear it, “And pretty and not scary, not at all.” He shook his head at that and turned to the boxes after a second, “I can put them away alone. I'm good at that.” Besides, he knew how an infirmary was usually organized! Or, well, at least he thought he did. It wasn't too hard, right? He went over to the boxes and hesitantly opened the first one, checking inside to assure himself there really was nothing to be afraid of within.

"Thank you," Chloe said, standing as well. "And thank you for thinking I'm pretty and nice. And not scary. Because there are some people who think I'm a little scary. Even though I don't really feel I am."
He wanted hot water? Well, she wasn't to argue with him but maybe some day she could talk him into having some of her tea. Something mild, and a little calming--just to help with some of the anxiety. "You know, Gad, I don't mind if you stop by the infirmary any time you feel lonely. Whether it's here or back at the school. Since I'm there all the time working, it does get lonely for me sometimes too. And it's nice to have someone to talk to."
And really, it was just sad to think of him being alone and afraid all the time and she wanted to just help him and, well, hug him. A lot. Especially hug him. He certainly seemed to need some affection to counter that low self esteem. But she worried somewhat, that he wouldn't take to hugs very well. Augh! She shook her head, trying to surreptitiously shoo off a persistent vision.
Just...trying not to make sudden moves or scream or smash it with that dictionary. Looking at Gad out of the corner of her eye, as he peeked into a box, Chloe finally quickly grabbed the vision, opened the boiling kettle, and stuffed it inside, shutting the lid quickly. She smiled serenely as she heard the muffled pop that signified its demise.

gムd Really? Gad looked confused; how could anyone think the doctor was scary? She healed people! If anyone was safe and nice, then it certainly was a doctor! But, he didn't doubt her claim – if she thought people thought of her as scary, then she must be right. Some people thought Gad was scary too, which was just silly! He started to unpack things one by one, taking out the basic things one would find in an infirmary – syringes, cotton balls, bandages, needles.. ah, sanitizer! He liked that! He took a look at the bottle and admired it for a moment before setting it aside to see what else was inside there. “Really?” He paused with a box of basic adhesive bandages in hand, having been moving over to the cabinets to put it with the rest of the bandages, “You don't mind?” Gad didn't think he was very good at talking, but if she wanted him to come visit him when she was lonely.. Then Gad would be happy to do it!
“Y-yes, yes, I like that, it's nice.” He turned back around, just in time to see her shut the lid of the kettle. Had she added something to it..? He was suspicious, but ignored it for the better part – he trusted the doctor! He went on his merry way of putting things up, reaching the last box in no time. It wasn't hard at all, really – the bandages were stacked in one place, the medicine in another, and everything he thought she may need readily was left in a corner of the counter underneath the cabinets – like the sanitizer! “Doctor, you.. y-you – have you met any of the.. other men? I-In the school. Like Gad.” He turned to motion to himself so she knew he was talking of fellow staff members. Or twins. Evil twins would be nice to be aware of too.
(( SORRY. D: Screaming toddler required my attention! ..It took awhile, obviously. ;w; ))

"Of course I don't mind," Chloe said, smiling slightly. "I enjoy talking with you so I'll be glad to have you anytime you want company, or if you just need a place to warm up after working outside. I'm sure it gets cold working the grounds during the winter." She turned to him, leaning against her counter while she watched him meticulously put things away.
"I'm actually quite new to the school as well. I only arrived a few days before you did but I've met a couple of the other men on the staff. One is a very nice man named Silveril, who teaches Physics. And the other is also very nice and his name is Akito. He has red hair and he's the security guard at the school so you may well see him around sometime. If you do, I'm sure he won't mind if you say hello; he's a very kind person."
"Why do you ask? Would you like me to introduce you to them?"
((No worries! ))

gムd Gad nodded at that – very cold. He wasn't quite impervious to the temperature, but he could manage with enough clothing – it was better than the heat! It could get very hot whenever he was reminded of how dangerous it was to wear less than three layers of clothing before going out. “I like that.” He agreed as he went about his work, listening in to her explanation on what she knew of the staff. It was a slight disappointment to know she didn't know everyone, but he was happier to hear she was new, just like him! That meant they had something in common! Plus, she at least gave him the name of two very nice teachers – Silveril and Akito! If he saw them in the dorm, then he could go ask them for help.
“I.. uh,” He paused and looked at a roll of string – probably for stitches – in his hand while he thought on whether he should answer that. Of course he should! She asked and it was only right he answer her, but he was still a little ashamed to admit that he was frightened of his own dorm. “..I don't know anyone and.. the beds are.. close t-together and Sani won't.. can't sleep with me.” Ah, that sounded worse, didn't it? That a full grown men wanted to sleep with a teenage boy! He cringed and turned to her quickly, “N-not – not in – no, I.. I didn't mean.. It's scary. The dorms. I don't know them and..” He wasn't sure how he could explain it! He turned back to the cabinets with a breath and put the roll up, embarrassment flushing his cheeks.

Chloe.Bruadair "It's alright," Chloe said, going to Gad. She set her hand on his arm gently. "I understand that new places can be frightening. I used to travel around a lot to many different places and even though I really loved it, sometimes it was also frightening for me to be in a place where I didn't know anyone."
"Why don't we do this? In a bit, we can go down to the lodge together and see if we can find Silveril or Akito so I can introduce you. And if we meet any of the others, we can do it together. And, if it still makes you nervous, you can come to sleep in the infirmary. I'll likely be here very late, and I can sleep here too if it will be less frightening for you."
"But only if you think that would make you feel better?"

gムd As soon as her hand made contact with his arm, Gad tensed and froze in place, looking down at her in fear. But, he didn't move – she was nice! He didn't want to scare her because he was scared – that would double the scare! Or triple it, considering Gad was scared of her being scared and that would give him another thing to be scared about.. Ah, he needed to stop thinking! He swallowed hard and tried not to shake while he focused on appearing as normal as could be. “Y-yes, that.. I'm happy you u-understand, I-I am frightened of n-new places t-to.” Ah, no, that wasn't just it! He bit his tongue to try to urge it back to talking, “I.. I would l-like that – a lot – a lot, I would like that. I-it's nice that you would offer i-it because it is.. it is a lot of nice and.. Can,” He swallowed again, forgetting where he even was in his speech as his mind continued to focus solely on the touching. “Can you let go of m-me? Please? I-I don't want to upset you, but it's.. it's dangerous and..” He didn't want to say he didn't like it! But it was true! Gad didn't and he was using all of his will power to stay put because he liked the doctor!

"Of course," Chloe said, releasing his arm. She looked up at him a little sadly for a moment because she wasn't sure how to help him and she really did want to so badly. The poor man. She sighed inwardly. But, of course, his issues--whatever they were--were clearly deeply rooted. She doubted he would ever be able to be just a normal man, but it would be nice to help him adjust a bit--even if it was just a little.
"I'm sorry. It's really just force of habit. I should have been more considerate. Please forgive me." The kettle made a loud popping sound, signifying the water was ready and Chloe went to take care of her tea and Gad's cup of...hot water. Perhaps he would calm down a little if she gave him a bit of space. And when she had free time, she would definitely be interrogating her whispers to see what they knew about him. The more she knew the easier it would be to interact without scaring him. "If you don't mind my asking, though, why do you say it's dangerous?" she asked, as she placed a small strainer of leaves into her cup.

gムd Gad let out a breath of relief as soon as she let go, stepping back so he could better calm down while she went to the kettle. He felt bad for that – especially when she looked sad, but.. he really couldn't help it! He didn't want her to get hurt, not because of someone like him – and she was such a nice doctor too. She didn't get mad when he asked her to let go and was even going to still give him water despite all of that! He rubbed his arms as he watched her tend to the kettle, hoping he hadn't ruined this meeting completely. The doctor was the only person he had met so far that seemed to be doing fine – well, outside of Isamu, but, needless to say, he had already ruined any chance of friendship there.
“It's good.” He mumbled in response while he went to sit down on the bench, not wanting her to accidentally trip on him if he went to the floor. Besides, he was certain she would try to sit down there too and she didn't deserve to sit there. “I don't mind.” He replied – he was planning on explaining anyway, so she understood that it wasn't her fault at all. “I'm dying and I don't want you to catch it too, and touch is how it is transferred and.. I don't want that.” That made sense, didn't it? It sounded reasonable to him, at least. He paused as he looked at the cups, “..If you don't want me drinking from the cup, I don't have to. It's transferred that way too, but I can clean it if you still want me to drink it. I'm good at that.”
