Raijin's Judgement - Kiyari's primary weapon which she keeps on her at all times; a unique sword that channels her lightning abilities along its blade. It was forged for Kiyari, and her alone. Should anyone else attempt to weild the sword they will find themselves recieving a nasty shock....literally. It's advantages lie in its durability and magic, making it very useful for Kiyari.
Rakurai's Edge - A lightweight Naginata with an extremely sharp bladed tip that is edged with paralysing poison. It can channel lightning magic in a variety of ways along its whole length and off it, more so than her sword, allowing her to control it better. The conductive metal also amplifies the magic's strength.
Biography: Little is known of the woman named Kiyari Vane, for she prefers to remain inconspicuous and is not known to speak of herself or her past to anyone. The details of her life are not untraceable, however. She was born in Galbadia towards the end of the Sorceress war. She has few memories of her mother, who died when she was 7 after giving birth to her younger brother. She recalls her childhood as being reasonably peaceful up to that point, at any rate. Her father had taken part in the war, and after it's end had been working at Balamb Garden as an Instructor and SeeD. When he heard of his wife's death he returned home to Galbadia to raise the children.
Kiyari had never met the man until that point, so needless to say the girl's relationship with her father was complicated. She was still grieving over the death of her mother and resented the stranger who had come to replace her. Despite her antagonism towards him, he soon saw promise in his young daughter and began training her himself to fight and use magic, and when she came of age he sent her off to Balamb Garden to take the SeeD exam. It is here that she met Kalay Laytos and Caize Ovelen, though the nature of the exam and her correspondence with them are unknown except to the persons involved. And with good reason. Upon passing her exam she transferred to Winhill Garden, where worked for a short while as an Instructor and Operative. She did not wish to return home just yet, as her experience of the exam (despite passing) turned her against her father completely. Instead, she left it all behind and concentrated on fulfilling her duty as a SeeD. Though she would regularly send money back home for her little brother.
Accounts from those she worked with stated that she seemed to enjoy her time at Winhill and settled in quickly, becoming a loyal and valuable member of the Garden. Unfortunately it wasn't to last. After only a few months Kiyari suddenly left and immediately returned to Galbadia, prompting much speculation. It is thought she returned with such haste because her father had fallen ill...but the truth was far more sinister. Once again the details are not widely known, but what is known is that Kiyari began working at the Galbadia Garden shortly after, and would remain there for some time. It is here she met Sou Ho Nebulous, briefly training with him during his short stay. On the surface she played the part of a loyal Galbadian SeeD, yet she remained in contact with Winhill and Balamb Garden, providing them with valuable information about Galbadia's activities. However her true allegiance is not known, as it is alleged that Galbadia knows of her 'undercover' connection with Winhill and openly exploit it. Only one person could tell you the truth, and she is mysteriously silent on the matter. Kiyari is, in short, a double agent. Only time will tell which side she chooses, and why.

Hobbies: Her only notable hobby seems to be writing letters to her little brother, other than that she spends her time training.
Personality: As a child Kiyari was tomboyish, but generally quite happy and pleasant to be around. She was devoted to her mother and therefore was understandably devastated by her death. That could be considered the time when she lost her naiive childlike innocence and was forced to grow up, taking it upon herself to protect her little brother and be strong for him. When her father appeared on the scene she did not immediately trust him and only reluctantly accepted him as family. She was also reluctant when he began to train her in the ways of magic and combat, but soon realised she had a talent for it and ultimately knew she could use it to protect her brother. It was through her training that she came to trust her father, although that trust was shattered to pieces after her SeeD exam, which she speaks about to absolutely no one. After that, she went from being a generally nice girl to being quiet and cold, trusting no one and closing off from the world. During her time at Winhill she found a small measure of peace, but when that also fell apart she retreated into herself even more. Now Kiyari maintains a persona of serious professionalism, but there is also a dark sense of mystery about her. She plays her cards close to her chest, doing only what she must.

Talent/Skills: Adept at using many kinds of weapons in battle, though she is especially skilled with a sword. She is also well practiced at hand to hand combat and despite her small figure she can take care of herself in a fight, often surprising those who underestimate her for being a female. Kiyari's control of her magical abilities are well developed, and she is capable of using high level magic proficiently and without easily exhausting herself.
Battle Overview: Kiyari is fairly well rounded in terms of her battle skills. Her speed is average, whilst her strength and stamina are above average, and she is quick thinking and level headed even in pressurized situations. She won't hesitate and will attack quickly and relentlessly to overwhelm and bring her opponent down as efficiently as possible. She is rational but not merciful. For example she will not strike down anyone whom she does not need to, but she will kill anyone who stands in her way without a moments thought.
Limit Breaks:
Path of Light - Using her sword Kiyari channels all her magic onto the blade, making it glow white hot and spark with lightning. She then uses all her strength to slash down at her enemy in a single attack, sending all of the lightning energy off the blade in one powerful strike that can travel up to 30 metres, deeply ripping and scorching the earth and causing an explosion.
Spirit of Raiju - For close combat. Kiyari's speed doubles as she channels her lightning magic into her hands and feet, allowing her to attack her opponent swiftly and deal a series of damaging blows upon their body.
Raiju's Fury - After channeling her magic into her right hand, Kiyari makes an upwards slashing motion that sends three powerful arcs of lightning at her enemy, for up to 10 metres.
White Forest - Kiyari's eyes glow bright white, and the sky darkens with angry clouds which strike down at the earth with vicious bolts of white lightning, creating a "forest" of lightning strikes that no enemy can escape.
Hirameku - Using Rakurai's edge, Kiyari will drive the bottom of the naginata firmly into the ground to hold it in place, keeping both hands on the staff. Then she casts Thundara, which travels along the length of the weapon and sparks out from the tip, sending bolts of powerful lightning lashing out at enemies in any direction.

Attack: Flash of Dark - Raiju disappears and appears at will around the opponent in a dark, thunderous cloud, lashing out with his claws and teeth.
Final Attack: Thunder sphere - The GF forms a rotating ball of lightning energy in his mouth, which steadily builds in strength until he releases it in a concentrated blast towards the enemy.

Personality
Raiju can be quite an intimidating GF to be around, given his bad temper and low tolerance for anyone besides Kiyari. He rarely has a kind word to say and his reaction to mostly anything is to snarl angrily. He seems to enjoy fighting a lot and delights in beating a strong opponent. Though one might think he's the kind of GF to do whatever he likes, he actually will obey Kiyaryi's orders and has a lot of respect for her. She just tends to let him use his own judgement in battle and gives him a lot of free reign, unless she needs to specifically direct him for something.

Final Attack: Wings of sleep - Akumu flies over the battlefield, scattering sleeping powder from his wings to send the opponent(s) to sleep and parallysis.

Personality
Akumu doesn't display much of his personality, which is to say that he's generally quiet and reserved, and always obeys orders. He doesn't speak out loud and instead communicates the same way that any ordinary horse would, via neighing and whinnying. He can and occasionally does speak to Kiyari mentally but this is a rare occurrence. From the brief conversations she has had with him this way in the past Kiyari has asserted that he is generally good natured and very intelligent. He enjoys being praised and it seems his only desire is to please Kiyari, whom he views as his Master.
