Frauline was up already--the crack of dawn over the horizon let the birds wake and soon a few other early risers would be joining her. The council did not meet in the early hours but rather the later and she...did not appreciate it. Her armor on and face washed she exited her room above the coincil meeting's chambers and descended the stone steps before looking to see who her victim for the first day of spring training would be?

Keelin stifled a yawn. It was quite early, but not too early for the young mare. She stood as her instructor entered, offering a hand and a smile that masked the nervousness she was feeling. "I'm Keelin. It's nice to meet you on this fine morning." The green mare wanted to get the formalities over and done with so that her jitters would disappear and she could work on untying the knot in her stomach.

The only one awake at the goddess-forsaken hour seemed to be rather chipper and twitchy...She could have fun with this one.
"You may call me Frauline Kervein." she added, nodding as she circled the small mare once and then headed for the training fields.
"Follow me. And know you are being tested today," she looked over her shoulder as the two exited, wondering how adding the pressure of a test would make the youngling react.
"You require much discipline to be a knight. Do you even know the path you're on child?" she looked down, rather tall, one would compare her to the sweedish or the amazon women of Earth.

"Yes Frauline." She said as she folllowed Frauline.
She had some idea. She knew there would be lots of hard work, and that it would take some time to be a full fledged knight. It would be well worth it in the end though, because she might actually be able to be herself for once.

Fraulie kept her hair behind her instead of turning it over her shoulder.
"You will complete the obstacle course. I will run it with you--If you cna beat me you pass the test." she failed to mention she was faster, much faster, without her armor...but if it came to that she might promote the little underling to a page right there!
Her eyebrow quirked as they approached the field's edge and the forest and obstacle course began.
"You will run through it once to get the hang of it," she nodded.
Frauline whistled loudly,"Begin!"

Keelin sped off, running as fast as she could through every obstacle trying to to trip over her own hooves. Clumsy by nature, not by choice.
The running part was fine, the obstacles not so much. She managed to gimp over most of them, before falling flat on her face and cursing to herself.
Picking herself up, she blasted off again with more determination to reach that finish line.Determination was something Keelin prided herself on. No matter how many times she fell, tripped or failed she would always dust herself off and try again.
As she arrived at the finish line she looked to Frauline "Now that that's out of the way." Keelin laughed as she panted a bit.

Frauline smiled and watched the girl. She was fast...relatively persistent. Frauline liked that.
"Again. With me," she darted tot he start line and prepared to run the course. She had grown up running the course, even with recent changes it was still a cake walk compared to anytihing Octultus could comprise...She wished he would return and gather her intel already so she could begin her own mission and leave the HQ for a good old-fashioned adventure!
With that--One deep cleansing breath, she spoke. "Go."
Kervein was darting through the course gracefully and without problem. She made sure to stay close enough to the youngling to give her a good sense of herself...If Frauline had run straight through it the poor thing's spirit would be broken.
"Keep up!" she yelped behind her at the female who would surely be tired from the previous run through...

She took off once more with more firey determination.
Keelin was falling behind, she shouldn't have wasted all that energy on her first run thorough.
Her legs burned, that gave her all the more energy as she pushed to catch up with her instructor.

Kervein finished the course a good leg ahead of the girl but not too far as to obliterate her hopes of completing the course satisfactorily.
"You did well," she huffed, the course was always a bit of an exertion and she liked the full breathing it required. The air left her with a sigh as she turned to the shed and walked toward it.
"You may get a drink if you like and Meet me on the sparring fields." she looked at the sun, it was almost time for breakfast for everyone else and the female would get hungry eventually.... Until then Frauline intended to keep her busy and working. And perhaps give her a few brownie points for it as well... Anyone who could withstand Frauline's trianing was indeed a worthy student of the Order at least!

Keelin hunched over, hands on her knees and panting heavily. Water sounded like the best idea right now. But where was it? She didn't want to ask and risk looking like an idiot.
Instead of asking Keelin pressed on, heading towards the sparring fields. She would get a drink when they headed back to where there was water.
