"Oh man... that... hurt..." a young woman murmurs sadly, rubbing her nose, sitting on her rump on the cement pavement. She'd just run into a glass window, hard, thinking she'd heard a familiar woof and had an opening to head into to follow the noise. It was...so difficult to get around without her companion, Sylvira, but the growlithe had spotted an emolga and given chase.
Leaving Seru sightless in a strange town. Sighing heavily, the girl ran a long-fingered, delicate hand through her short, slightly curly blue-black hair, and stood up slowly, arms a little out and forward, to make sure she didn't run into the same wall twice. Because once was ridiculous enough for her.

Ed was walking his beat, making sure that no one was bothering the store owners. Ahead of him, a girl was acting a bit strange, waving her hands around in front of her. "Miss, are you alright?" he asked, walking up behind her. Zaire walked just to the left of him, at heel.

"Eh, who's there?" Seru speaks up quietly, and lets her hands drop, a little worried. "I'm fine, just... a bit lost without my Growlithe, Sylvira... She saw some other creature, and took off... and I can't really, ya know, see..." she chuckles a bit, and turned slowly, a little warily. She didn't wanna bump into him at least... that might get them both into a mess.

"Oh, sorry Ma'am, I didn't mean to startle you. I'm officer Edward Anderson. Would you like to feel my badge? I'm working with my Zorua Zaire today," hearing her name, Zaire barked. "We'd be happy to help you find your Growlithe."

"Oh, that's quite alright..." Seru smiled a bit sheepishly, and then held out her hand, more to greet him than to check his badge. "Hello, Zaire... And thank you. I really should get a more sturdy guideline... I'm not sure where to begin looking, but if you'd like, we can start with this thing..." she murmured, lifting up a broken leash.

Ed shook her hand in both of his, pressing his opened badge wallet to her palm to confirm his identity as an officer. "Mm, that looks like a pretty slim leash. A guide harness might work better for you. Mebbe a few more guide dog classes for your Growlithe might not be amiss either?" Ed suggested. "As for that leash, Zaire, scent!" he ordered.
Zaire sniffed the leash, snuffling until she had the scent of the dog that was usually on the leash. "Zo!" She barked, confirming she had the scent.
"Good girl. Okay miss. My dog has your dog's scent, and she's going to try to track him. I'll have her go slower than she usually does, and you can have my arm and follow her with me?" Ed offered.

"Yeah, I've been trying to get a decent harness, and she just loves to chase Emolga..." Seru smiled sheepishly yet, and waited patiently to take back her hand before offering her elbow again. "How old is Zaire? She seems quite well trained..." Seru commented, curiously.

Ed tucked Seru's hand into the crook of his arm. "Zaire, seek. Keep it slow though girl," Ed ordered. Zaire obediently sniffed around, then led the way, slowly enough for them to follow. "Oh, my Zaire is just a puppy really. She isn't even a year old yet," Ed answered. "Got her from a puppy mill that got shut down. All the pups that were confiscated dogs got some obedience training before we found homes for them, but Zaire did so well in her classes they decided to put her up for K9 training. Took to it like a Ducklet to water. After she was trained up, one of my buddies who knew I was looking for a dog told me about her. I picked her up at the kennel, and I couldn't be happier with her," Ed told the blind girl as they followed Zaire.

"Oh, then she's a lucky gal, and you're lucky indeed to have- oh! I recognize that bark, I think..." Seru grinned, and pointed a little to their left.
Indeed, a smallish female growlithe was barking at a tree, and walking around it, tail wagging, sometimes jumping and placing her paws against the tree, and growling playfully. She dropped to her back paws, and looking towards them. Her tail thumped on the ground as Seru frowned a bit.
"Sylvira, is that you?" Seru sighed, and the growlithe barked, and then bounded over, and then spotted the Zorua, and seemed to frown, tilting her head slightly.

Zaire gave a sharp bark, her alert that she had found the source of the scent. "Good girl!" Ed praised. Then he asked the girl "Do you want me to lead you to a harness store? There is a place near the station that carries working dog accessories, including guide dog harnesses."
Zaire's tri-colored tail wagged at the praise. Then she looked at the other dog she had been tracking. "" she told the Growlithe with all the sternness a Zorua barely out of puppyhood could manage.

Sylvira seemed to chuckle a bit at that, even as her ears went back a bit. "" Sylvira protested, wiggling closer, and bumping her nose into Seru's hand as the blind girl knelt, and hugged the naughty dog.
"Bad girl for running away, Sylvie... But I'm glad we found you... and yes, we should get a sturdier halter for her..." Seru smiles, turning her head towards Ed, and then rises slowly, carefully. "I'd like to get a good one..."

Zaire scowled. " " Zaire had no idea that when she got huffy she puffed up a bit, and looked adorable rather than frightening or aggressive. (Imagine getting scolded by a three year old here. Adorable, cute, and not so good at getting you to change whatever behavior they were scolding you about.)
Ed snickered. "I think my girl is scolding yours. Well, shop is this way. Let's go get your squirrel chaser a harness." Ed tucked the girl's hand into the crook of his arm again, and led the way.

"" Sylvira chuckled, rolling her eyes, and then giggling in her own way at the excess of adorable, and trotted over, and sniffed at the pup playfully. (I am soooo drawing a poofy Zaire for you.)
"Sylvira won't be too bothered; she's usually calm... except around emolga..." Seru chuckled, and nodded at him, letting him lead the way. "Thank you for helping me out, Mr. Anderson... Oh! I forgot to introduce myself. My name's Seru, by the way..."

(Oooh, really? I love art! <3) Zaire huffed, but being a polite girl, let the other dog sniff her. "" Zaire pouted.
"Nice to meet you, Seru. Ah, here we are. Pokemon are allowed inside, within limits. No Onix or Snorlax! But dogs are especially welcome, since they sell so much for them. Would you like me to help you find a harness?" Ed offered.
