Keary was having a hell of a time getting away from females. He'd run into two so far and that had been an experience yes, but it was not something he wanted to do again. So he'd asked his mother for a good spot to hide and read at. She'd given him wonderful directions to an alcove that was prettily hidden in the deepest recesses of the caverns near their home. He'd brought several books to occupy him, and now he was fully set up with snacks and a nearby stream. The grass was comfortable there was a great patch of sunlight he'd found that kept it from being too cold. He could stay here for hours.

Taking a deep breath he curled up and opened the first book of the day, something to do with science this time. The human language might have been difficult for most, but Keary enjoyed reading it, gaining an understanding as to why the humans thought the way they did. Science explained a lot, but there were still things that mystified Keary. Like how his grandparents were in love with one another, and yet his mother had no affections for anyone, at least none that he knew about. Science could not explain to him what it was that caused animals or humans to fall in love. It confused him. But then he'd never fallen for anyone so he was convinced he was not meant to. Coming to this conclusion had been good but the amount of females that suddenly had shown up after that decision made him twitch.

Sighing he took a break from his book and laid down his nose. He needed to get his head straight and thinking of crazy females would not do. He meditated somewhat like his great grandfather had taught him, clearing his mind of every last though, listening to the wind and letting his soul recover from the stresses of his past month.
