Oh God. There he is. Why does my heart pound every time he walks by? Why does he look at me with those emerald eyes? It feels like he knows my every thought. Could he really know what I'm thinking right now? Oh please stop looking at me with those eyes. I'm going to melt. I'm going...I'm--No! Look away. Stupid...look away from him! I-I can't. Wait...why is he coming closer. Why aren't my feet moving? Do I really want him this close?

She's so beautiful. Every time she walks by I catch that peach and vanilla scent of her long beautiful ebony hair. Those periwinkle eyes that seem to shine every time she looks at me. There is a story behind those eyes. How I long to reach out and touch her, if only for a brief moment. How I long to hold her if only once in my life. I want to be her knight in shining armor. I want to be the one that rescues her. But...would she allow me?

Why can't I get close to him? Why must I always retreat whenever he comes near? Could it be that I'm afraid to love? Could it be that I'm afraid to get close to anyone? Why am I so afraid to open up? Why does my heart beat this way whenever he walks into the same room that I'm in? Why am I always so short of breath whenever his beautiful sapphire eyes gaze into mine? Will I ever be able to get close to anyone? More importantly...how does he feel about me?

Why does she always look so sad? Why does she run from me whenever I get near her? How I wish I could put a smile on her beautiful face. How I wish I could see her cheeks tinged pink with a soft blush. How I wish I could hear her laugh. I want to get close to her. Why won't she let me? Why does she look so afraid? I would never hurt her. I want to be her protector. I want to chase away the demons that haunt her. I want to kiss away her tears. If only...if only she would let me get close.

I believe since we already know the rules, there's no need to list them.

Name:
Age:
Abilities:
Personality:
History:
Appearance:

Name: Selena Leciel
Age: 19
Abilities: Lunar Manipulation
Personality: Selena can be considered very very extroverted and sharp-tongued. She has no fear of speaking her mind even towards those she deeply cares for. Despite her sharp tongue, she has a fairly even temper and is the kind of person who rarely loses her cool. Selena is not afraid to take risks to achieve her goals, even if that means making herself seem like the villain in a situation. When she does such a thing, she is only doing it to protect the lives of others. While the other person may not understand fully, Selena believes her intentions to be good, if a little questionable at times. However, she is not above cracking a smile and having a good time. Unless she feels like something terrible is going to happen, she has never said no to a night of fun, or even a day of fun, especially when she is not fighting for her life.

History: Selena is the youngest child of a middle-class suburban family. She was raised in a small urban town along with her older brother, Cyrus. She had what could be considered a normal family life. While she fought a good amount of the time with them, like all families, she also loved them and would do anything for them. However, as time went on, her parents began to love each other less and fight more and more. The fights began as mere arguments, then slowly escalated into something more physical usually in the form of thrown objects.

Selena, being quite young at the time, did not fully understand what was happening. But watching as her parents evolved from loving each other dearly to hating each other enough to not being able to be in the same room together did not sit well with Selena. Therefore, she turned to her older brother for comfort and sanctuary often sleeping in his room at night. It was the only way she truly felt safe. As time went on and Selena grew older, she became used to her parents incessant fighting. She still had Cyrus and he had her. What she didn't count on was them being separated.

When Selena was eight and Cyrus was thirteen, their parents divorced deciding to take one child with each of them. Cyrus went with their father while Selena went with their mother. However, their parents were not cruel enough to keep them apart permanently. Because they went to the same school, they saw each other during the day and on the weekends when Cyrus would come to his mother's house or Selena would come to her father's house. Even though Selena had lived through hard times emotionally, she did not let it rule her life and managed to adapt to her new life, despite the fact that she came from a broken family because the way she saw it, a family was still a family no matter if they were together or apart. Of course, she had no way of knowing that her normal life is about to take a polar direction. But that's a story we haven't yet come to. Perhaps we will though.

Name: Yukina Shouri
Age: 29
Abilities: Fire Manipulation
Personality: Yukina is a very very timid young woman. She finds it hard to open up fully to people, even those she has known all of her life. Because of this, it is very very hard to get close to her. While she is closed off, she has motherly tendencies. Even though she is closed off when it comes to expressing her emotions, she is not one to turn the other cheek when someone comes to her for a shoulder to lean on. She is very appreciative of what she has been given and often proves it by making sure that each member of both Cleanse and Eden have what they need in regards to food, clothes, and a comfortable place to sleep if they choose to spend the night at the base(s). Even though Yukina has what could be considered a deadly power, she is far from a fighter often choosing to make it through obstacles without having to resort to brute force.

History: Yukina never knew her parents. She was raised in a large foster home with a number of other children. The foster home was only meant to be temporary for the children until they were adopted. While Yukina was not mistreated by her foster parents, the children seemed to have an affinity for trying to make her life as horrible as possible. They were not overly cruel children. Instead, they tortured her by doing small things such as calling her offensive names, especially names pertaining to her small stature, which was quite abnormal for someone who was her age at the time. They took to pulling her hair, dumping her clothes in the toilet, or throwing them in the trash, or even tripping her. Despite the fact that the children were often reprimanded, they did not cease their incessant torture towards the young red-head.

Yukina was often visited with many dreams as any young child would be. One particular dream turned out to be so much more. After suffering through an almost traumatizing nightmare, she found that she had been bestowed with the abilities of the Phoenix, which had been one of her favorite mythological creatures. Because of what she had become, she was found quickly by an elite group filled with children who were just like her called Eden. Eden had served as an orphanage, a school, a training facility, and a home to many of the many children, of course they were allowed to possess their own homes once they became older and were able to afford it.

Yukina had remained with Eden for many years until her death at the hands of another Phoenix empowered young woman who worked for Sentinel. Yet, being imbued with the abilities of the fabled crimson and gold bird, it seemed that fate had another plan for her and so she rose from the ashes reborn. She had been given a second chance at life. However, instead of returning back home, she chose to remain in Egypt for one year learning their cultures as well as training her abilities. After a year, she returned to Eden. It has been a year since her return to them, yet it feels like it has been longer. This is where her story has been left off. What else is in store for her is very much unknown.

Name: Nero Aurelius
Age: 20
Abilities: Golden Touch
Personality: Nero is laid back and down to earth. He does not like talking about himself, but makes a good listener. He's particularly observant, taking note of the little things, as well as very caring for those he has grown up with.
Nero has a very easy going and calm nature, not liking to act too distressed. He is merciful and gentle even to his enemies, at least at first. What he does not like is people acting too insulting and disrespectful, and consistent stupidity will quickly get on his nerves.
Nero is not beyond using his powers to help his fellows, even if it means cheating someone out of a few things by making them think he has given them real gold, everlasting gold. As such, he's a risk taker, not minding taking the chance to fool someone for the gain of those he cares for.
History: Nero has always liked the finer things, luxuries of life, because he never had any. He never had things particularly easy and learned to take pleasure in the simple things. Nero is hard working, as he is keen to please those important to him and to make their lives easier he will quickly take up small favors.
Besides that, Nero would classify his life as extremely common. He has very few hobbies or activities outside his studies and chores, and he usually only reads during his free time. At the time when he legally was allowed, he took up a job to help support his parents. Nero has therefore lacked social interaction with anyone besides those he had a strictly work related relationship with.

Home life Nero does not see as being anything but ordinary. His parents were kind, but strict, quite insistent on good behavior. Young Nero was quickly punished for anything bad that he did, but well praised for his success. With his parents often busy themselves, Nero was left on his lonesome and the one thing he mainly knew to take up his time was reading and studying.

After the nightmare, the night of change, Nero struggled often with his power. He had to come to terms with people's greed at the idea of having so much gold, and the ensuing hatred when it did not last. It was something he personally overcame. It helped that he grew to dislike gold being everywhere his hands were. Unable to touch anything, anyone, without consequence.

Even when his powers were discovered, and he was taken in by the organization, he often did his best to assist his parents. It has only been in later years that he has become more keen on dedicating his life to being a full time member of Eden.

Name: Cyrus Leciel
Age:26
Abilities: Solar Manipulation
Personality: Cyrus can be described as calm, collected, and hard working. He tends not to loose his head very often, preferring to distance himself from drama when he can. Cyrus is quite passionate about the things he loves, and is insanely protective over his baby sister.
History: Cyrus is the oldest sibling of a middle class family. When he was young, it slowly became clear to him that something was going on with his and Selena's parents. Hoping it was just a phase, he tried to hide it from Selena, taking her outside to play and such whenever he noticed their parents getting angry with each other.
Over time, it became impossible to continue hiding their parents situation from Selena any longer. But still, he tried his best to protect her from the worst of it. His parents always tried to teach him that siblings had to watch out for each other, and be their for each other always. It was the one thing that Cyrus always tried to do for Selena. No matter how much she might get on his nerves sometimes.
When the day came when their parents couldn't be together a second longer, Cyrus was determined not to leave. Even with their parents pulling them apart, Cyrus held on to his sister's hand up until the last second.
Despite their situation, the siblings always remained close. Once Cyrus had moved out of his father's house and got his own place, as soon as Selena was old enough she moved in with him. Convenient since it was technically closer to her college. Also, it let Cyrus keep and eye on those boys she was dating. Currently, Cyrus works as a carpenter, mostly making hand carved furniture, or working on a construction site when sales are low.

The incessantly annoying alarm clock would not stop ringing. In a full sized bed, there was a rustling of deep purple covers. It was clear that there was someone under them. From under the covers popped the top of a head, which was covered in ebony hair tangled in sleep. A pair of pale hands slowly and lazily pulled the covers down to reveal a young woman with very pale features. Her sleepy eyes were the color of periwinkle. Her nose was rather small and turned up at the very end, slightly rounding at the tip. She sat up, her long dark hair framing her face in a mass of tangles, proof that she was a restless sleeper and often moved around quite a lot at night.

The young woman's name was Selena Leciel. She was around nineteen years old and a sophomore in college. Or she would be today as it was the first day of her freshman year. The periwinkle eyed girl felt around for her alarm clock and pushed the top button, turning it off. Why were her classes so early in the morning? Actually, she knew why. It was so she would have the rest of the afternoon to do what she wanted. Selena sat up in the bed and placed her feet on the soft plush carpet. The room was decorated in lavender, one of Selena's favorite colors. It wasn't an overly large room, but it was hers. The furniture was an eggshell white including a vanity table, a walk in closet with two double doors, a dresser, a shelf for all of her books and movies, a desk with a laptop set up on it that was connected to the internet. Adjoining the room through a door was Selena's own bathroom.

Selena stood from her bed wobbling in place as she shook off her usual morning dizziness. Once she regained her balance, she walked into the bathroom and closed the door behind her. Once inside, she changed out of her pajamas, which consisted of pair of sky blue bottoms that fell below her belly button and covered the top half of her feet and a simple blue cami top. On the top part of her chest was what appeared to be a crescent moon shaped tattoo, but it was much more than that. Of course, we won't go into a lot of detail about that. It was revealed that Selena was above average height at five feet, six inches tall. Her long hair fell down to her waist. She had a rather curvy physique and long tapered legs.

The young college student turned the water in the shower on adjusting the temperature to her liking before stepping in and allowing the water to hit her back, kneading the tightened muscles in her shoulders. Selena spent time soaping her body and hair. Her shampoo had the scent of peaches and vanilla while her body wash was the scent of cherry blossoms, which were Selena's favorite flower. Once finished, she turned the water off and dried herself off a little bit in the shower before stepping out and drying off the rest of the way. Wrapping the towel around her body, she walked back into the room and towards her closet. It was a rather cool spring day so she chose a light pink loose open top with a white spaghetti straps top that would go underneath, a pair of tight fitting jeans that accentuated her curves and the shapes of her legs with her favorite pair of light brown wedge sandals.

Once dressed, the young woman put her laptop in its decorated case, making sure she had everything she needed that went with it. Her room was a bit of a mess with a few clothes scattered about. She would clean it today when she got home. Actually...probably not. Selena wasn't the most organized person in the world. She was a little absentminded and often misplaced her belongings. After searching her entire room for her car keys and finding them under the bed, she walked out of her room and down the stairs. Selena lived with her brother, that made paying bills much easier than living by herself since her brother's income was much more.

She didn't see him in the kitchen. Maybe he was still asleep. Did he have to work today? Selena could never remember his schedule. She opened the refrigerator up and found some orange juice. Popping the lid open, she drank from the carton even though it was a bad habit and a good way to spread sickness. Wiping her mouth, she put the juice back, but instead of closing the fridge, she began to eat a few grapes that had been bought the day before. The young woman had a very bad habit of stuffing her face in front of the fridge. She wanted to say good morning to her older brother before they both had to leave for the day.

A soft zen-like chiming noise sounded, coming from an alarm clock, which had different alarm settings. The sound was almost silent, but it seemed to be enough to awaken the young woman who lay in the queen sized canopy bed with the silken gold and crimson covers. The young woman's long hair was of an auburn shade and fell down to her waist in many curls. She sat up, swinging her legs around. Her feet didn't exactly touch the ground because of her petite stature. She slid onto the floor and stretched, her fair arms reaching towards the ceiling, but nowhere near close to touching it. Revealed were a pair of golden wings protruding from her back, the tips of them reaching down to her ankles. There was a reason for those wings. Yukina was part phoenix, but that was a story that will be discussed later. After a few moments of stretching out her sleepy muscles, she allowed her body to relax, her arms falling down to her sides again.

The woman's name was Yukina Shouri. It would not do to call her young as she was around twenty-nine years old, well over a full grown adult. She lived in her own small apartment big enough for one person for she was the only one who lived there. She had no siblings nor a boyfriend, fiance, or husband to speak of, but we'll get into that later. Her room was neatly organized decorated in the colors of crimson and gold with all the necessities including a dresser, a closet, a desk with a computer set up on it, which she rarely used. There was no bathroom adjoining her room. That was across the hall.

Yukina rubbed her sleepy jade eyes and walked towards her closet picking out a long white peasant skirt, a light blue halter top, and a pair of simple brown sandals. As she had gotten a shower the night before, there was no need to take one this morning. She did not smell. In fact, there was the scent of strawberries and lilies surrounding her. The strawberries was for her hair and the lilies were the scent of her skin. She pulled her long white nightgown over her head revealing a small body. She was very skinny and had the physique of a young woman who appeared fragile and didn't eat very much. The truth was, even though she was able to cook enough food for three or four large feasts, she barely ate herself.

Yukina struggled with her clothes because of the golden feathers that often got in the way. They were almost similar to a pair of angel wings. Of course she was far from an angel. After getting dressed, she left the room and walked down the hall towards the bathroom. Her pet cat, named Mirielle was lounging on the carpeted bathmat in front of the clawfoot bathtub. Once seeing her mistress, the cat leaped up and began circling around her, rubbing her soft white fluffy body around Yukina's legs while Yukina began to brush her hair and pull it back in a long side braid that fell over her shoulder.

After brushing her teeth, she left the bathroom with her cat in tow and walked down to the kitchen. She had the day off work today, but there was always that chance that she would get called in as usual. She didn't mind of course. She just sometiems wished the other doctors would be willing to go in in order to give her a small break. The red-head gathered what she would need for a nice sausage and biscuit breakfast and began to prepare, wearing a pink apron so as not to accidentally stain her clothes. What today held for her was unknown as each day held something different.

A golden hand reached over, placed itself above the laptop's monitor, and slapped the device shut. The boy groaned sleepily and moved the golden-coated hand to his face, where his hardened gloved fingers rubbed his closed eyes. Nero's worn emerald orbs revealed themselves and stared sleepily out the window on the opposite side of his work desk. The windows were tall, reaching to the ceiling from the height of the desk - roughly from the height of his waist if he was standing. The blinds were still open, giving a view to a small pitch-black backyard. There were no recognizable features outside but the roof's of the neighbour houses against the dark canvas of the sky. No stars were visible due to light pollution from the city and clouds in the sky - but one thing he could always see. One thing he always loved to gaze at. The Moon was out and full tonight.

It was like a beautiful pearl in the sea of the cosmos. Nero's pale lips turned up into a smile as he gazed at the silver sphere. So distant, yet he wanted to touch it. The moon was so romantic and mysterious, so far and out of reach. But then, it also reminded him of her. The image of his secret crush filled his mind. She did not know about it, he wondered if she knew of him at all, and he barely knew her himself. Selena... That was her name. From the moment he had learned it, he could not and had never have forgotten it. Nero would have taken a further moment to daydream, but his eyes forced shut before slowly opening again. He needed to go to bed.

Nero stood, his legs pushing back the wheeled seat underneath him, and turned to the dark room. Funny, it had still been light out when he had sat down and the room had been illuminated. He could not see anything now, though he knew the dresser was somewhere on the left, and nothing should be in the way if he just walked forward. The door leading out of the room was behind him somewhere. Nero held ahead his golden hands and wandered forward, moving slowly and carefully till his feet pressed against the side of the bed. He sighed in relief and pressed his hardened gloves on the soft sheets before crawling into bed and underneath his blanket. Nero laid down comfortably and took a deep breath as he let his dreams take him.

Morning always came so quickly, a little too quickly on college days. Sometimes, with the early start, he really could not be bothered getting out of bed. But he had to, you just gotta keep going, can't exactly give up halfway. Nero's eyes opened, the illuminated room baring witness to their lively green nature. The ceiling was a plain white, staring back without a creak. Nero stared up from his bed for quite a while, taking his time to wake up. He was forced to move when the alarm clock finally went off, and the boy could only groan in frustration. He hated that sound, but obviously that did get him up faster.

Nero pushed aside the thick blue blanket, revealing his fit form underneath. He did not wear a top, only his white boxers, as he slept. His lightly tanned skin was quite the contrast to his white bed sheet but rather similar to the wooden blanks on the floor. There was the hint of his muscles, but he was not exactly a bodybuilder. Nero exercised regularly right there at base, his powers complimented by being adept in physical arts. His hair was quite a mess, spread around and on his face and the plain pillow underneath his head.

Nero sat up on the side of his bed, his feet landing on the cool wood, and lifted up his hands. Pure gold, at least on top. That was because his gloves were still on but they made his hands feel awfully stiff after a night of rest. Nero turned his palms down and revealed the more open back of his gloves. Slowly he peeled them off his hands and just dropped them to the floor, causing them to land with a loud 'Clank!' He would clean up, but that was the least of his concerns as of now. Nero flexed his fingers, making fists repeatedly to wake up his aching fingers. The boy lifted one hand to his hair, giving it a small scratch - only to end up with a few golden strands hanging down to his face. Nero's eyes focused on it, and he tried to blow it away - but it was a little too heavy to be affected. Nero rolled his eyes and pushed the hair on the right of his head behind his ear, freezing the lot in brilliant gold. It felt uncomfortable with the added weight but he did not want his gloves on right now, so he'd just deal with it.

Nero reached down for the gloves and waked over to his desk, passing by the green colored dresser, and laid the gloves down beside his laptop on the desk. Nero turned back to his dressed and bent down in front of it. There were three drawers and he pulled open the top one. From left to right, there were gloves, socks and underwear. Nero carefully pinched a pair of gloves out of the drawer. They were rather thin and black in color and he gave a glance to the pale aqua walls of his room as he pulled them on. The moment he looked down again, the gloves were on his hands and already shimmering gold. In an attempt to make a fist now, his fingers moved slowly, struggling against the thin metal now covering them. Nero sighed, rather wishing the power could be easier to manage.

The brown haired male picked up his towel, a plain white one laying on top of the dressed, and walked to the other end of the room. There were two doors, one on the left side of him now and leading to the hallway. The other, in front, went to the small bathroom he was provided with. There he entered and went ahead with his morning shower. That was a particular activity he needed his gloves on for. Not only would his own body be golden at his touch, but so would the soap, so would the sponge, so would the small knobs to turn on the shower and so would every droplet of water. First time it had been quite the shock when trying his hands in water.

When Nero returned, the half of his hair still gold was still as it had been, the thin strands of bright yellow staying well in place. The other side his hair was wet and laying against his head. Nero was drying himself thoroughly with his towel as he made his way to the dressed and picked out an outfit for the day. A pair of black trousers, white socks, white collared button-up t-shirt... Not extremely casual nor at all formal. Fitting for academic purposes he felt. Nero pulled on his white trainers and threw over his shoulders his black jacket. With that he headed out, going to the small cafeteria in the base for breakfast. Not many others were too lively yet, having either earlier or in most cases later assignments to get to. All he himself had was an apple and a drink of water. Frankly Nero had never gotten to eating a lot, he found himself busy or occupied in other things to do that. This very morning, he was gonna be late for college if he did not hurry up.

Cyrus was awake long before Selena's alarm began it's constant ringing in the next room. Unlike his sister, Cyrus preferred to rise and set with the sun. Upon the first light of day, Cyrus woke without the need of an alarm, and walked out into the bathroom in just his pajama bottoms. He had a quick shower and shave, before returning to his room to dress. For the day he chose a simple pair of old jeans, and a v-necked black t-shirt. His blond hair laid damp upon his head, framing his deep blue eyes.

For breakfast he made himself pancakes. He ate half himself, while catching up in the news of the world, and left the rest for Selena. After he was finished and the dishes and whatnot were cleaned up, Cyrus walked out to the third bedroom of their apartment. No one lived in the room, so he used it at a workshop of sorts. Walking in, he was greeted with the smell of fresh carved woods, piled in neat stacks to one side of the room. Heavy plastic lined the floor to protect it from wood chips and saw dust, or the occasional dropped tool. There he began to work, hammering the sharp chisel through the wood, seeming almost malleable under his hands. As it were, he was working on a new head board for Selena. The only piece of furniture her room was really missing. When it was done it would be a masterpiece, with images of wisping clouds framing a crescent moon. As it was for her, of course she wasn't aloud in the workplace right now.

Cyrus paused in his work when he heard the all too familiar sounds of his sister getting ready for the day. When he could hear rummaging through the kitchen, Cyrus set down his tools and left the room, locking the door behind him. "Pancakes are on the counter Missy." He said, clearly teasing. "And use a plate. Mom taught you better then that." He added with a small laugh, knowing her habit of trying to use as little dishes as possible. A habit of college students he all too well remembered. Pots as bowls. Juice containers as cups. He didn't necessarily mind it. But it gave him teasing material.

Selena's long thick velvet waves fell across her shoulders, shielding her view from anything other than what was directly in front of her. In this case, an open refrigerator. Because of this, she did not see her older brother come into the kitchen. When she heard his voice, her back straightened and she turned to look at him, lightly flipping her raven tresses off of her shoulders. Despite their contrasting hair colors and skintones, no one could deny that there was a certain resemblance between the Leciel siblings. Cyrus's skin was sunkissed, which went along perfectly with his golden hair and deep sapphire eyes. There was no denying that her brother was a very handsome man that any girl would be lucky to have. Of course it was too bad for those girls for her older brother had his eyes set on someone else, a certain shy red head.

The periwinkle eyed young woman stuck her tongue out at the golden haired man standing before her before she closed the refrigerator with her hip, but not before grabbing the syrup from one of the three shelves that were built into the inside of the door. She walked towards the counter and opened up one of the doors in the upper cabinet and grabbed a medium sized plate, which was bigger than a saucer, but slightly smaller than a big plate. She then grabbed a fork from one of the many utensil drawers below and speared about three flapjacks, placing them gently on her plate before coating them with the syrup she had gotten from the refrigerator.

After sitting down at the table, Selena looked up at her older brother. Her eyes twinkled mischievously. "So do you plan on seeing Yukina today?" she asked, her rose colored lips spreading slowly into a teasing smirk. Yukina was the name of the young woman that Cyrus was infatuated with. Selena didn't know the young woman on a personal basis as she was quite closed off and rarely spoke to anyone. Some would say it was because she had a snobby personality, but Yukina was quite the opposite.

The young Lunar female quickly scarfed down her pancakes. She needed to leave in a few minutes if she was going to get to class in time. Once finishing, she stood up and dropped her plate into the sink. She would wash it when she came home...maybe...Okay maybe not. "I really hate to eat and run, but if I don't leave now I'm going to be so late." She kissed her brother lightly on the cheek before turning and walking out of the kitchen, down the small entryway and out of the door.

Her car was a cherry red bug. She climbed into the driver's seat and while holding the break down with her foot, started the car and put it to reverse in order to back out of the drive way and straighten herself out on the road. After switching to drive, she began to quickly make her way to the college, which she attended. Of course she had no idea that she forgotten her wallet and with it, her money she normally used to get something to eat for lunch.

Nero had just a few more things to do now that his breakfast was done. Whatever scraps was left he went and dumped in the bin and then returned the utensils he had used to the cafeteria staff. With a brisk walk then, he marched out and back to his room. On the way, he gave a quick wave and 'good morning' to a few passers by who were still waking up.

Nero arrived at his room door and pushed it wide open. He looked over the confines of the small light blue and white area while thinking. 'Where was it now...' Nero walked over to his desk and bent down - Uh huh! His emerald eyes flashed as he caught sight of his schoolbag - a black messenger bag, thrown and abandoned beneath the desk after the last time he needed it. The boy smiled as he reached in and pulled it out by its single long strap. Nero strung it over his shoulder and gave it a few pats to get the dust off it. It was fiiiine. There ought to be a pen and some extra paper in there somewhere, as well as his wallet. He was almost ready.

The brown haired lad took a few quick steps over to the dresser and pulled open the same drawer as before - the one that included his gloves. His golden hands were enough trouble to deal with, his fingers struggling to bend any time he wanted them to. Let not the world share his uniqueness. Nero pulled on - the best he could at least, another thin pair of gloves. Now it did not look like he was wearing gold at least.

Nero exited the base, giving a short bye to anyone he met along the way. Out the door, he came to the wide front lawn of the base. Nero walked across it and out the gates leading in and out of the estate. It was a ten minute walk down the road till he came to the first bus stop, a necessary access point to transportation for several members. Even the more aged ones who did not have a car. The bus ran quite regularly as it's route was key to provide the citizen with transport to various city locations. Including Nero's college.

The young man got on the first bus, paying his fare before taking a seat. The trip from all the way out there, through the city, to the college would take around 30 to 50 minutes, mostly the latter. It was a boring and lonesome for the man with the gold fists, but necessary.
The sights passed by quickly, something he always quickly stopped paying attention to as his mind raced. If anything he could use the time for reflection and thought, there wasn't exactly a lot to do on a bus after all. When it finally arrived, Nero could only hope the classes were more entertaining than the trip. He could consider a day to have been very bad if nothing exceeded the non-existent entertainment value of the bus trip.

The campus site was quite significant in comparison to the surroundings. Considering it was in the midst of the city, there was an active business hub all around. Many shops from small to large and housing. Yet nothing dominated the scenery as much as the college did. The huge white construct was impossible to miss. The size of course came from the need to befit a very large student body, something quite normal for such an institution. Many other students were coming in for their morning classes and Nero quickly merged into the crowds entering the building.

Inside the place was well designed, with wide corridors and many points of access to the above floors. There was a big cafeteria with many choices in the center of the first floor, and a smaller less used cafe at a more isolated side of the place. Nero found his timetable in his bag and kept glancing at it as he walked. He ascended to the second floor and found himself in a long hallway. Going down, he kept looking at the room numbers and his timetable. Then, room 2-10. This should be it for their first class at least. Nero entered into an otherwise abandoned classroom and took a seat near to the door. There were three rows of seats, all pointed to the front where there was a desk for the tutor. Guess he was early.

Selena's fingers gently drummed the black steering wheel along to the music that was playing on the radio. At least the traffic wasn't too bad this morning. Other than a few red lights, Selena's trek to the college was a smooth one. Once it came into view, she sped up in hopes of finding a good parking space. She hated having to park so far away and then having to walk what seemed like five miles just to get to her car. There were a few people here already. She recognized the vehicles of some of the faculty and students. Quickly finding a parking spot that suited her needs, she claimed it before anyone else was able to. The gentle musical bump of her car was silenced as she turned it off using her car key. Pocketing her keys, she grabbed her laptop and climbed out.

After locking the door and shutting it, she shouldered her laptop bag, which also served as a holder for her other supplies, it was that big, she began walking towards one of the buildings, which was close by. The building contained the class she would be taking. Selena's major was architecture. She hoped to be able to work at a large company once she finishes school. Of course she still had this year, and two more years to complete. The young Lunar female passed many fellow students along the way. She waved to some of them and even stopped to speak for a moment or two before continuing on her way.

Would he be here this year too? What would she say if she saw him? She barely knew him, but wanted to. Maybe she could get a seat beside him this time. Last year, another girl had sat beside him much to her chagrin and the girl had turned positively hostile when Karana had asked nicely if she could have the seat. She wondered if he liked that girl as well. Selena shook her head. There was no need to focus on that. If she could get a seat beside him then that would be just fine. She wouldn't have to worry about said tramp. Making her way into the building, she walked quickly down the hallway, her shoes gently thumping on the hard white tiled floor.

The classroom soon came into view. Selena approached it and opened the door, walking inside. A few students had already arrived. In the midst of the very few, her heart skipped a beat as she saw him. Nero Aurelius. He was sitting by himself. There was no sign of Trampy McTramp anywhere. Yet she didn't approach him just yet, she merely stared at him. He looked so good this year, the way his hair fell elegantly into his emerald green eyes, the way his skin possessed a natural golden tone that was darker than her brother's. She could only imagine what he smelled like.

After having checked him out from a distance, she took a step forward in attempts to approach him, yet was knocked to the side by a strange force. A flash of silky blonde hair passed her. Selena's expression fell into that of loathing and disappointment. What did this girl do? Wait hidden until Selena entered the classroom? The girl's name was Natalie. She was the epitomy of perfect with a figure that could rival a model's, long silky blonde hair that was never frizzy, stunning blue green eyes, full lips, perfectly tanned skin. Today she wore a short skirt in which her rear end was very prominent, and a tight fitting low cut top that revealed the tops of her breasts. The girl had legs that seemed to go on forever, her feet were adorned with a pair of expensive designer strapped sandal heels.

Said bimbo walked up to Nero, her rear end swaying alluringly from side to side. She sat down in the seat making sure to practically shove her breasts in his face as she did so. Selena grinded her teeth. She could squeeze the girl into a pulp. She was the type of person who, whenever she saw something or someone that someone else wanted, she had to attempt to take it for herself. With a dejected sigh, Selena found another seat, one that would allow her to watch Miss Slut-Slut and Nero, yet also be able to pay attention to the teacher. She sat down and opened her laptop bag, pulled out her laptop and began to set it up.

Nero sat in the classroom, awfully bored while waiting. People were slowly coming in, his eyes glancing at each individual as they passed by. Hopefully it would not be a repeat of last year, where the spot next to him was taken by a rather annoying girl every single time. Then it happened, someone took a seat next to him, and when he could turn to face them he felt almost violated by their very forward approach. Nero gave an odd glance to the person next to him, already not looking forward to the class. When people did themselves up like so, trying their hardest to look like... well, there was no good word to define it, it often seemed like a poor attempt at covering up all the vile stuff they were made up of inside.

Nero looked away, only to catch sight of Selena as she walked across the classroom and went to take her seat. Just imagine, if this person had not sat down next to him, it could've been possible for Selena to be there. It may never have happened (did she really even notice him?) but it was a nice 'if' scenario. It did make him feel even worse toward the person beside him. Nero turned to the revealingly dressed girl with a gentle smile, a part of his commonly polite social approach. "Excuse me." Nero said softly and got up off his seat. He picked up his bag and purposefully walked over to a seat he much rather sit at - right next to Selena.

"Do you need some help with that?" Nero asked the young lady as she was setting up her laptop. Technology, he was a big fan. His emerald eyes brightened up now that he was so close and he could not help smiling at her. Nero reached down and plugged the recharge of her laptop to the wall so she could attach it to the device. That's what he saw people usually did, even when their battery was not low just so that it would not need to be done during the class. Nero remembered his own laptop, and how it's battery was totally fried and useless. Such a shame.

Nero sat down then and looked up to the teacher who had taken their place at the front of the class. He resisted the urge to keep taking glances at Selena, he would have time to look at her later he told himself.

When everyone was settled, the teacher introduced the class topic and assessment schedule. While they would be learning architecture, it's history and various techniques, they also would be carrying out a year long piece of coursework. The teacher detailed it would in it's completion be a portfolio of between 20 to 30 building designs, each applying certain knowledge from the topics they would be covering. That was rather interesting, Nero thought. He really preferred that approach to just sitting down for a few hours and trying to write paragraph after paragraph of theory for seemingly endless questions, and then getting a poor grade because you did not answer the question correctly no matter how much information you put down. Nero cursed high school in the corners of his mind while concentrating on what the teacher continued speaking about.

Study partners! There was a single thought immediately in his mind, and Nero's head snapped to Selena. The teacher has specified that while class co-operation was encouraged, every person would have an assigned project companion for it's duration. "Uhm, would you... Be my project partner?" Nero asked Selena a little hesitantly. It gave him a good chance to lay his eyes on her, and they did not want to draw away. Her fair features were ever so pleasing, from those periwinkle orbs and silvery skin to what looked like the softest hair, and sweetest lips. She was radiant.

A shadow fell upon Selena. The young fair skinned girl looked up, her periwinkle eyes growing wide in surprise as Nero stood before her. What surprised her even more was that he took a seat next to her. The young woman's eyes traveled towards Natalie who was glaring at her with such loathing that if looks could really kill, Selena would most likely be six feet under by now. She felt an unfamiliar sense of triumph, but her expression remained perfectly placid. "Oh, no...I don't mind if you sit here," she said refraining from doing her own little happy dance.

What was even more surprising was that he was considerate enough to plug in her laptop for her, even though she was capable of doing it herself, despite the fact that she could appear rather dense and absentminded at times. It was just as well that her laptop was plugged in. The battery was very temperamental and even though it was said to have two hours of life, sometimes it only lasted for half an hour. She needed a new one, yet with her salary at her job at one of the clothing stores prevented her from doing so as laptop batteries were expensive and she hated asking her brother for any kind of money. Selena couldn't help but wonder if Nero had any sort of job as well.

The professor entered the classroom. He was a very handsome middle aged man, an older Clark Gable sans the Rhett Butler mustach, a man who got better with age. Many of the females in the class harbored crushes on him and while Selena was willing to admit that he was attractive, she did not swoon over him like some of the other girls for she already had her heart set on someone else and that someone was sitting right next to her. The professor then began to discuss their yearly project that was due at the end of the year. It sounded much more interesting than a large essay and ten times more enjoyable. If there was one thing Selena hated, it was writing an essay and then getting a failing grade because she wasn't detailed enough. Some teachers even failed students for a few grammatical errors.

What pleased Selena even more was that they would all be working with partners. This would give her the opportunity to get closer to Nero, if he'd want to be her partner that is. Maybe he preferred to partner with Natalie. Selena's mind filled with images of what those two would do together. None of them pertained to studying to say the least. But Nero wasn't like that. He was a very diligent student, quite a contrast to Selena who was a bit of a procrastinator.

Nero's voice caused Selena to awaken from her daydream. She directed her eyes at him. Damn, he looked so good. From this close up, she could almost see his muscles through his soft button up shirt. His hair was deliciously messy and Selena urged to run her fingers through the adorable mess. She mentally told her fingers to stop daydreaming. Her imagination began to run wild again. She imagined the two of them alone in the classroom, Nero pushing her against the table, his strong body pressed against hers, his lips passionately touching her lips, his hands...Whoa, whoa whoa! Clearly she would need to take more cold showers from now on. She told herself to stop lusting in such a manner.

"Partners?" she asked. He wanted to be partners with her? She looked from him to Natalie who appeared positively murderous before she looked up at Nero. Whenever Selena looked at a person, she always looked into their eyes, but she was finding it hard to look at Nero. Damnit, why did he have to be so appealing? But that only made her want to look at him even more. Her lips curled into a cheerful smile. "Sure, I'd love to," she said. Selena had almost ended up saying 'I love you' instead, but stopped herself in time to prevent embarrassing herself.

Selena's smile lit up her face, making it ever brighter and more beautiful. Nero could not help but fantasize about getting the chance to feel those smooth lips against his own, how she would no doubt taste and smell as good as she looked up so close. Lost in her beauty, Nero almost missed it - but she said yes!

The brown haired boy could only smile wider, his eyes nearly sparkling in excitement. This year would be absolutely perfect. "Thank you." Nero spoke up happily, unable to stop smiling now. Maybe there was hope, a chance to get closer and to know her - a chance to be more with her.

The teacher went on for a while, lecturing them some basics about architecture and it's history. That was until every pair was handed a large sheet of paper and given the task to draw up some simple house designs. It was so that the teacher would know how well everyone could do it as of right now and how much there was to learn. Nero was more than eager to work with Selena. He turned to her and the large piece of paper now sitting on their shared desk.

"So... Hi." Nero started a little shyly, just giving her a quick greeting. "I'm Nero. It's nice to get a chance to work with you." That was something he had been looking forward to since last year, yet never really given the possibility. If anything, right now on this task, he would wanna design a house for them to live in. No doubt during the course of this piece of work he would not be able to think of anything besides that.

Selena couldn't help, but wonder what Nero was thinking at the moment. There were times she wished she had been bestowed with Psionic abilities, but her own abilities suited her well. Selena looked up at Nero only to see him smile. The smile lit up his entire face and made him appear even more handsome if that was possible. Yet, unlike other good-looking young men, he appeared to be modest, not full of himself, down to earth. He was shy, there was sensitivity in his eyes. He looked like a person who thought of others before he would even consider thinking about himself.

Selena merely nodded when he said thank you before turning her attention towards the front of the class where the teacher began his lecture. She listened half-heartedly, choosing instead to daydream once again. Maybe she could invite Nero to the beach one weekend....But then he would see her in her bikini. It wasn't that she was an overly modest person, but perhaps she wanted him to approve of her physique. Selena had gained some fat over her time away from college and while she was not heavily overweight, she could probably stand to lose a few pounds. No, Selena wasn't an overly vain person who only cared about her appearance. Maybe she wanted to be pleasing in Nero's eyes.

Selena was woken from her daydream when the professor handed each pair a large sheet of paper and told them to come up a few house designs. Selena already had the perfect house in mind. It wouldn't be too big, nor would it be too small. She imagined each room being open and airy, each room looking different from the next, something colorful and filled with life, maybe a garden, and a porch swing, a place for a swimming pool. Selena then heard Nero speak again. His shy voice was positively adorable. Selena resisted the urge to tackle him into a hug. She knew his name, but didn't say so for that would have been considered rude.

"I'm Selena," she said, her lips turning upwards into a smile. "I'm happy to be working with you too," she said cheerfully. "Um...excuse me for a moment." Her bag was under her desk. She was forced to push her chair back in order to reach it. Rummaging through it, she found her glasses case and drew it out. As her head came out from under the table, there was a soft thump and a small twinge of pain as her head hit the under edge of the table. She rubbed her head cursing her obvious clumsiness and the prospect that she had just made a fool of herself in front of Nero. Why couldn't she be graceful? Opening her glasses case, she placed her glasses upon her nose, the stems settling gently behind her ears. She needed the glasses to be able to see close up. Turning towards the large sheet of paper, she spoke once again. "So...um...what did you have in mind?" she asked curiously regarding their little assignment. She had a few ideas, but she was interested in hearing Nero's.
