Deryk would receive a simple text on a very (hopefully) simple Monday morning. Message from Caelius Promotion mission 10:00 room 201B. Bring a team of at least four. Of course, the details would have to wait until he arrived, preferably with a team of four that did not include he, himself, himself appearing as Deryk, and possibly the artist known as Deryk. OOC - For this mission, Deryk will need to call on at least three other friends (up to four). Simply send a text telling them to arrive as well and have them post in this thread waiting at room 201B

Ten o'clock. Deryk could only assume that meant ten AM and not PM. There was something exciting about this text. Promotion. He was actually getting a promotion mission! Though, he soon became a little worried. What would this entail, he wondered. Frowning at this little realization, he was now a little worried here. In any case, he began to send a few texts to get his team assembled. Nio Love Meet me in room 201B at 10am! I need your help. Syusaki Promotion time! If you can help me out, please come to room 201B at 10. Dragain Hey! Can you meet me in room 201B at 10? After that, he paused. There were a lot of death hunters on this team... Well. It was too late now. Besides, it was a death promotion. Perhaps they would be doing deathy things. Maybe. With all that done, he made his way to the classroom when it was about time. He was still nervous as all hell.

He had been flipping through the book Tedan gave him—Wilson could never get over the crisp images and informative passages, okay—when his phone rang. The first thought that popped into his mind was whether or not it was another God awful mission from one of the leaders. They often had a knack for mentally disturbing him one way or another. Maybe it was a requirement to becoming a division head.
A grin when he realized the sender was Deryk and the word ‘promotion’ caught his attention immediately. He slid the book off his lap before he got out of bed, the phone in one hand as he slowly typed out a response.Blade Kuroda awesome. it’s not allan, right? i’ll be there. If it somehow involved Allan in any shape or form, Wilson might have to change his mind, but he exited his room anyways.
When he arrived, Wilson happily waved at Deryk. “Hey! Is it just you and me or is someone else coming?”

Ariane was there on time, and gave Deryk an affection... Whack on his back. You could tell that she likes him, yup.
"So... What's going on?"

Robert was there four minutes later, and gave Ariane an affectionate whack on her a**.
"Okay. The party's here. Where's the beer?"

Ariane raised an eyebrow at Robert the bear, and then gave his a** a whack too. Affectionately.
Doesn't matter if she heard things about him being engaged or something.

"Ow! Ishittingreallyneeded?" whined the death trainee as Ariane smacked him pretty hard on the back. Apparently, hitting was required. As she exchanged 'blows' with Robert too.
But on the plus side, everyone had shown up. This was promising. Though, Deryk winced a bit when Robert mentioned party and beer. Hopefully Caelius did not hear that.
"Uh.. No beer. I think. Got a promotion mission. Was asked to come here with at least three others. Don't know what's needed of us yet. Debriefing should be soon, yes?"

"Oh. s**t, promotion? Already?" Robert looked at Deryk, thoroughly impressed. "That was quick, man. Nice job. Hope you didn't sleep with anyone to get this far." He pursed his lips as he thought about it, then grinned. "Just kidding. I hope you did. AM I RIGHT?" He held his fist out for a bump that may never come. ):

"Debriefing should begin very soon if not ******** now." Informed a helpful voice from behind Deryk, approximately where the closed door had been. Except that the voice wasn't more helpful as it was pissed off.
What may have been odder was how their esteemed leader was, instead of the usual division coat, wearing a simple black blazer jacket, as if this was entirely normal. A certain intermediate Life trainee in the group might have had a moment where he may or may not have thought about whether or not he had accidentally shattered another artifact. Thankfully, other than the slight change in clothing, Caelius's general winning attitude remained the same. "Let me explain very carefully Deryk's promotion mission. As the group assisting, if any of you make a single ******** mistake, the promotion mission will be considered a failure, I hope I am making myself very clear. Leave your trainee coats at the portal entrance, and keep in mind any advice you may consider helpful may cost a certain trainee his ******** life."
Well, it was a good thing to know that Deryk's potential promotion mission failure had been already promoted from failing the mission to instant death.
Without another word, the Death Hunter leader stalked out, clearly expecting the trainees to follow him: unfortunately one Death trainee would probably have to at least consider following. They didn't stop until they were at the Lighthouse portal, where the sentry on duty was already waiting with what could be deemed a coat rack, just waiting there.
Seconds later, Caelius had already strode into the portal to god knows where. Typical Monday morning.

Robert's casual, vaguely inappropriate gaze at Ariane dropped when he heard that voice, and he stared, open mouthed, at their mission coordinator. Well of course it would be Caelius, Deryk was in the Death Division. Why hadn't he expected that he'd have to see the man again? But so soon.. his mind was still muddled with visions he really didn't want to think about anymore - and Cael's face brought them all flooding to the surface, fresh and painful as ever.
This was going to be a long, long day.
He took off his coat, put it on a hanger, and made sure to take Jezebel out of his pocket before leaving it behind.

Deryk froze as he heard Caelius's voice coming from behind him. As usual, the man didn't sound happy at all. Slowly turning around, he grinned a bit nervously and nodded. Seeing the division lead in rather casual clothing was a bit strange, but it was his words that grabbed his attention more. This... sounded like a pleasant mission indeed, with the whole life or death type of situation that it apparently held.
"Y-yes sir," he said while following him to the portal, hanging up his coat before making his way through. He glanced nervously towards Wilson, Ariane, and Robert as he did so. What did he just pull them into?

What greeted the trainees on the other side was a parking lot. A simple asphalt, and rather large, mostly preoccupied parking lot somewhere in the middle of the day. The area, wherever they were, perhaps suburbia, was also rather warm, though it suddenly made a lot of sense as to why Hunter coats were not the preferred outfit of choice for this very obviously b***h mission.
The trainees may or may not have just managed to catch a glimpse of Caelius walking into a very large building, one that said in bold orange block text:
He was waiting for them right next to the door as he rifled through the catalog titled 'APPLIANCES ON SALE'. With a sort of annoyed expression, the Death Hunter leader simply passed the whole catalog to Deryk. "The table needs to at least accommodate thirty people, take in consideration the average height and standard weight of a table as well, preferably oak or birch wood. And lastly-" Insert threatening glare - "The table must be perfectly ******** round, to where the diameter, that is"- Here, Caelius took out a marker, and scribbled very clearly on the catalog:
There were arrows pointing both directions from a drawn circle as such:
He stalked off, most likely to cause hav- no, no, it was really better not to think about it. Maybe Deryk should just focus on the task at hand. OOC: FINDING A TABLE - Deryk now needs to browse this handy catalog and find a table hopefully fitting Caelius's requirements (his buddies are free to help, really). Once he is ready with his choice, he should probably save that page for reference, and try to find wherever the Death Hunter leader is. - In fact, its kind of hard with the large area to find Caelius. Roll a 100-sided dice (after Deryk has made a catalog choice) and match your dice to the results below. Of course, everyone can roll, as many times as they want, until someone finds their "mission" leader. (Anyone in the party) 1-20: You manage to somehow get into the gardening section, and while you catch a glimpse of a Hunter that looks oddly familiar - there was something about that heart shaped apron, but you just couldn't put a finger to it - you don't see your esteemed leader 21- 40: You hear some loud yelling, and you worry for a second, but thankfully its just a customer arguing at the cashier stand about how she demanded a refund immediately 41- 60: You see a very familiar figure stalking off into the outdoor appliances and patio furniture section, but you end up taking a wrong turn and end up in the lighting section. The bright lights sort of blind you for a second. 60 -80: You get distracted by all the piping this store has to offer. So much piping. Why would a house ever need this much piping? 81-90: A passing lady is holding two pieces of paper - paint sample tiles - and she asks you if you prefer the Light Lavender Blue or the Dark Lavender Blue. You get held up trying to answer. 91-100: You see Caelius standing next to a sales attendant, though the two of them don't seem to be having a civil conversation by far. Welp, you better jump in before things go south...

Deryk paused as they showed up in front of Home Depot of all places. Maybe there were some crazy things going on here? This seemed much less likely as Caelius gave him the catalogue and was talking about getting a table. There had to be more to this. The division leader had made it seem like their lives would be on the line with this mission.
Maybe table hunting was more serious business than he thought.
Blinking, he glanced to the rest of his team and started to flip through the book.
"Uh.. think this one looks good. Wait. Where did Cael go?"
He had begun to look around, but stopped as he saw the huge pipe selection.
"...Why so many pipes?"

Seeing Caelius without his hunter jacket was weird. Period. It didn’t even matter that the man was wearing a formal blazer. It was still weird, but pretty fitting. Wordlessly, Wilson decided to follow orders and follow him through the portal once he took off his coat and left it on the rack.
The sight of a parking lot and asphalt was familiar, even kind of nostalgic. He idly kicked a stray pebble a few yards away until he noticed they were at Home Depot. What. Why were they at a hardware stor—nevermind. Caelius would probably answer it soon. Wilson repeatedly switched his attention between Caelius and the catalog. Find a circular (he blatantly ignored the quips about pi and diameters, he knows his math already okay) table that can seat at least thirty people…He leaned over Deryk’s shoulder to get a better look at the items inside. Confused, he glanced at Deryk. “Is there even a table here that can fit that many people?” It didn’t really look like it. “Uhhh. Yeah, I guess that one’s pretty good.” Wilson shrugged. He followed Deryk’s gaze toward the pipe and stared open-mouthed. “Woah. I have no idea.”
His gaze swept around the store a couple times before he spotted Caelius’ blazer. Because really what kind of normal person wore a blazer to a hardware store? Wilson pointed toward the man. “There’s Cae—Oh.” Apparently, the death hunter was not alone. He was conversing with a sales attendant and it seemed their spat was beginning to turn pretty heated. “Maybe we should hurry over?”

Befuddled by all the pipes, Deryk stared at them for a little longer. Though, he soon turned around to see what Wilson was talking about, only to see their leader squabbling with someone.
"Might be a good idea. Be disaster if he whipped out Circe in here... Very. Very bad," he agreed. Glancing to the rest of the group, he motioned for them to follow along while making his way to the two.
"Uh.. Everything.. alright here?" he asked a little nervously. He didn't even know what they were arguing about just yet. Maybe they could do a bit of damage control here. Hopefully.
