o oMeaning: From a French surname meaning "beautiful outlook."
Gender: Male
Species: Black-throated Magpie-Jay (Calocitta colliei)
Stage: Gatcha (capsule)
o o oPowers:
Flight:
o oIn early stages, he would be limited to hovering as his wings would be small and unable to support his weight for long periods of time. In later stages, with bigger wings, he might be able to fly high and for a much longer duration.
Windswept:
o oHe can manipulate wind. In most cases, he would probably use his wind manipulation to knock back people that he feels threatened by. He can create small twisters but nothing that would seriously damage any property. When he gets older and has better control of his ability, he might be able to do a bit more, make stronger, bigger twisters, but he only likes playing with little spinners that he has complete control over. He doesn't want to risk losing control over a big twister.
o o oPersonality:
Vain/Egotistical/Snobby:
o oLooks are a big deal for Beauregard. He thinks himself handsome with a face that would catch anyone's eye. He is very fussy about his appearance and hates when his clothes crease or even one hair is out of place. He has a high opinion of himself, thinking that he is superior to other people, even if he is in no way better than them. Some might call him a pompous brat, and they wouldn't be entirely wrong as he has the tendency to look down his nose at people.
Loyal:
o oWhile it might seem hard to befriend Beauregard with his upturned nose attitude, he is generally very good to those that he believes has earned the right to be called his friend. He thinks that friends are people that should be stuck up for in any situation, defending them to the very end. His friends he trusts almost to a fault, in that he will believe them capable of doing no wrong if they claim innocence despite having done something bad.
Hates Violence:
o oBeauregard isn't completely a pacifist, but he certainly prefers to avoid fights whenever possibly. (What if they messed his beautiful face?!) If things look like they're heading toward a fight, he will employ a hit-and-run tactic, in which he will use his wind manipulation ability to blow back the opponent and then flee before the person recovers.
Curious:
o oAs he considers himself to be better than most people, one might think that his big headed and a know-it-all. But that isn't completely right. Beauregard realizes that he doesn't know everything and there are many areas in which his knowledge is greatly lacking. He has a hunger for learning about new things. This can be a bit frustrating for other people as when he takes an interest in something, he tends to ask too many questions, much like a child constantly asking "why" to every answer given to him.
Partly Delusional:
o oThis doesn't meant that his grand visions of the unusual. His delusions mostly refer to his thinking that he can actually sing. In reality, he is completely tone deaf and sings in a raspy, screeching tone that makes people cringe and cover their ears for fear that their ears will start bleeding from the horrible noise. When people tell him how bad he is at singing, he says that they are simply jealous of his talent. He believes his voice to be that of an angel when he sings.
Secret Romantic:
o oThis concept for his personality won't come into play as a child, but when he grows past that stage and gains some maturity, he will start taking an interest in romance. He enjoys reading those books with all the sappy romance that brings tears to the eye when the heroine and hero finally get together in the end. But he would never admit to this guilty pleasure to anyone.
o o oHabits:

o oHe likes shiny things and will often collect things that he then keeps on a shelf devoted to souvenirs.
Singing:
o oAs mentioned above, he enjoys singing, but his voice isn't exactly that great.
Clean Freak/Preening:
o oHe is a stickler for keeping things clean and can often be seen repeatedly washing his hands of any germs. He is hesitant to sit in unfamiliar setting without first wiping down any chair that he might sit on.
o o oAppearance:
Hair: His hair is dark blue-black. It would be cool if his hair resembled something like the magpie-jay, something similar to a faux hawk perhaps.
Eyes: He has one eye that is dark blue-black while the other eye is dark purple-black. (I like heterochromia (different colored eyes), but if that's not doable, then both being dark blue-black is fine.)
Skin: His skin tone is a light, pale peach/white.
Attire: Artistic freedom. Though I would be a total sucker for something gentlemanly.
o o oSpecial Traits:
» I would love for him to have wings and tail feathers.
» Maybe he could have some markings that resemble the bird's markings.
» I'm on the fence about him having bird feet. If the artist wants to give him bird feet, that's cool. If not, that's okay too.

The Black-throated Magpie-Jay (Calocitta colliei) is a strikingly long-tailed jay of northwestern Mexico.
o o oDescription:
This species is 58.5 to 76.5 cm (23 to 30 inches) long, more than half of which is the tail, and weight is 225-251 grams (8-9 oz.). Only a very few corvids, including the Black-billed Magpie, the Red-billed Blue Magpie and the closely related White-throated Magpie-Jay, have a comparable tail length. The upperparts are blue with white tips to the tail feathers; the underparts are white. The bill, legs, head, and conspicuous crest are black except for a pale blue crescent over the eyes and a patch under the eye. In juveniles, the crest has a white tip and the patch below the eye is smaller and darker blue than in adults. In most birds, the throat and chest are also black, but some in the southern part of the range have various amounts of white there.
The calls are varied, loud, raucous, sometimes parrot-like.
o o oRange and Habitat:
This species occurs in pairs or small groups in woodland, except for humid woodland, and partially open areas on the Pacific Slope of Mexico from southern Sonora south to Jalisco and northwestern Colima,[3] for a total of 160,000 km2. As of 1993 there was some evidence of a population decline.
o o oBehavior:
The diet is the omnivorous one typical of the crow family.
The nest is also typical of the family: a big cup of sticks lined with softer material. The female lays 3 to 7 whitish eggs with brown and gray spots.
This species interbreeds with the White-throated Magpie-Jay in Jalisco and Colima, where intermediate birds are common. It has been considered a subspecies of the White-throated Magpie-Jay, Calocitta formosa colliei.
The binomial commemorates the Scottish naturalist Alexander Collie.
o o oRandom Factoid:
A Black-throated Magpie-Jay was featured in a season 5 episode of The Big Bang Theory, sending Sheldon into an ornithophobic episode. It was incorrectly referred to as a Blue Jay.

o o oPersonality:
Madison is a pretty cheerful person, an optimist that always looks to the bright of things, which can sometimes border on annoying to those around her. Growing up, her life was fairly mundane but she was always a fairly happy-go-lucky kind of girl. Now in her adulthood, she is a hard worker, taking up two jobs while also going to school part time and living on her own. Because of this hard working attitude, she believes in being independent, preferring to do things on her and trying and failing many time before relying on someone else to help. Even if things always seemed to work out for her as a child and teenager, she never liked the idea of things simply being handed to her. She knew her brother thought she was a bit pampered by their parents because she was a girl, so she wanted to prove that she could do things for herself. She can be a bit quiet at times and tries to always act politely.
o o oInformation:
Madison's life was fairly uneventful. She grew up in a four-person family with her father Henry, her mother Elizabeth, and her older brother Wally, who hated to be called by his full name of Wallace. They were an average family with the usual spats every so often as children threw tantrums because they couldn't always have things their way. Things weren't happy one hundred percent of the time, but life was content enough and Madison wouldn't want any of it changed. She and Wally didn't always get along, especially when they both became teenagers. Wally always though that Madison had an easy life with their parents doting on their only daughter while coming down hard him because he was the boy. While such jabs at her were hurtful, they eventually helped shape her into being a stronger person as they made her want to prove herself to her brother.
Life in high school was nothing special. Madison wasn't a part of the cool crowd or completely unpopular. She was an average student who got decent grades and had a small grouping of friends. She dated on a few boys but spent most of time studying and hanging out with her friends. Now at age twenty, Madison is living alone in a small apartment while working as a waitress at a cafe and as a florist to pay her bills. She takes classes, and most of studies involve learning about plants and animals and some biology. She has always had an interest in nature and enjoyed reading up the different varieties of plants and animals. She hasn't planned out a career yet but would love for it to involve her love of wildlife.
