Morgana: *Also nibbles on a leaf in her thicket. Boorrreeddd. When can she go do fun things like her father does?*

Sigurd: u_u *still perfectly content to stay in his thicket*

Morgana: >( *Sticks her head into Sigurd's thicket.* Brother. *Must be nice, must be nice.... Can't think of anything.* How is.. your bird?

Sigurd: u_u *curls up tighter, quite the difficult little chap* She has family of her own. *weh weh misses her, wonders if the hawk will be back. she was nice, too*

Valhalla: *emerges from his confinement, totally ready and prepared for this day! Fluffy stocky legs despite being a fawn; oh, he'd been practicing the standing and walking routine for a bit now, and he was finally free!* ...! *notices his sister pestering his brother again, tail swishing, he bounds over, glowing yellow eyes ominously looking over his sister and, when he finally comes to it, his brothers thicket* >:1 ???

Morgana: *Sigghhhss.* Well so do you~ *Plops down next to her brother and licks his ear.* 8D So cheer up.

Sigurd: o_u *allows the lick. she's got a point!* "Very well." *relaxes a bit, snuggling into his sister, although he lifts his head as their brother comes over to stare back expectantly* "....."

Morgana: *SUCCESS!* |3 Yes, there is nothing more important than family. Well. Victory too, I guess. But family is a little higher- *Stops her little speech at the appearance of her other brother.* 8D Valhalla, have you come to join in our family gathering?

Valhalla: *stares back at Sigurd* ... >:1 *but turns his attention to Morgana. He'd rather run off and have fun or go on an adventure or something but well... He was the oldest sibling and he couldn't just leave these two un-attended, especially since his fathers weren't around!* .... *sighs* "I suppose so." *Doesn't get in on this whole gooey snuggle fit, settling down just outside of the thicket, but to where he can still see in on his younger siblings. .*

Sigurd: *he was enjoying his sister's speech, then Valhalla had to come along and won't even join them, the nerve! stares expectantly, almost challengingly* 0_0 "What is the matter, brother? There is room for you, too." *well, not really, the thicket is pretty cramped enough with these two much-too-old fawns in it. adding eldest Valhalla would probably make Sigurd's thicket reach critical mass*

Morgana: *Begins to get irradiated, how dare her elder brother think he could just up and leave them in a critical time of family bonding. But then, oh! He decides to join in, even if it's not very close. Father said it was important to be considerate, perhaps later on Sigurd would do the same for them and they could go explore!* Thank you, brother. |3 *Goes back to licking Sigurd's head, his horns causing it to get quite messy looking.*

Valhalla: *Just sort of nonchalantly watches, ears perked but then flat at the tone of his brother. He'd frown if it wasn't such a perpetual stoic line on his face already* "Hardly, Sigurd." *tone somewhat dry, mean, although not completely intentional. But to be fair there wasn't much room in the cramped dense brush at all, and he wasn't about to try and weasel himself into this mess* ... "And I'd rather not... encroach on your thicket, when there is hardly any space." *Besides, he was keeping watch! Look at me now dad!*

Sigurd: *one stoic to another, he does not move his gaze from Valhalla even as Morgana grooms him. swear, if his sister isn't preening him the birds are, this kid is spoiled and he doesn't even know it* 0_0 *he finally does break his creepy gaze, however, when their father appears! tail flicking ever so slightly, Sigurd looks up at Alaric, head tilting* o_o

Alaric: *"look at me now dad" indeed. Alaric enters into the clearing of the thickets, eyes scanning the sky at first for any sight of that over-protective hawk that had been guarding Sigurd's thicket... but all seems to be well! no screech and flurry of feathers and talons to drive Alaric away, no sir, he relaxes and settles his gaze onto his fawns, smiling warmly at the sight of his eldest watching... is that Morgana with Sigurd together?! they are such wonderful siblings, he is near bursting with pride!!! and it is so obvious in his voice as he approaches* "I am surprised you are not all up and adventuring already!" *pleasantly surprised, of course, Alaric probably would have flipped if he had shown up and they were all gone without him--oh guardians they grow up so fast*

Morgana: *Completely agrees with her elder brother, though she'd never voice it. It'd be way too crowded in here with the three of them. But she's still rather happy that they're all together. And what is this?!* Father! *The brush begins to shake as her tail tries to move in her happiness, but with the limited space it just gets stuck between the branches.* |3 Sigurd did not seem to want to go adventuring, so it was best to say here and bond some.*And she was utterly happy about it, each fawn playing their part. Things could not be better.*

Valhalla: *staring back, the both of their eyes locked because Valhalla is not one to give up first, in fact seeing this stare as a challenge and- oh gosh FATHER! OuO *Suddenly a surprising turn in personality, the little guy perks up, yellow eyes beaming at his enormous dad, tail a-wagging, he looks so pleased and happy!* !!! *And since he's not locked in the confines of the thicket snuggle trap over there, he hops to his feet and bounds over to his dad* "Well I wanted to adventure but Morgana and Sigurd didn't want to I guess so I had to stay too!" *Or else I would of left, but he'd never say that out loud!*

Alaric: *the simple pleasures truly are the best. to come home and have his children so happy to see him... Alaric can almost forget all of his troubles, so overcome with love for his young fawns. his stump-fluff tail waggles like mad as Valhalla bounds over, and Alaric noses him affectionately, his laugh a deep rumble* "Good that you stayed, Valhalla. There will be plenty of time for adventure. But you must cherish the time you can have with your family." *whoops wait a minute, practice what you preach there, Al. he feels a stab of guilt, but oh no he can't let his children see him sad! still, his excited manner falters a bit, and he approaches the cramped snuggle trap bird nest thicket now, nuzzling Morgana now* "It is wonderful that you wanted to bond, Morgana. I hope you all never stop being kind to each other." *and now he turns his attention onto his middle child. ah, Sigurd, always the serious one. Alaric is reminded of Mordred and smiles, nudging the fawn and trying to coax a smile out of him, too* "You should count yourself fortunate to have such considerate siblings, Sigurd. You all have such fine qualities." *abubu practically glowing with pride as he fondly regards these children. as always, Alaric has such high hopes. he just hopes he can be a good father to them. but enough bestowing of fatherly wisdom! it is time to announce what he came for, and although Alaric is incredibly nervous, he is excited, too* "Now, how would you three like to meet your older sisters?"

Sigurd: *ears perking, Sigurd looks back at Morgana's tail crashing the bushes, leaves raining down on them. hmm, well, he does like his father very much. not as drastic a change compared to his brother, but Sigurd finally stands at least, thicket a little less cramped! he does not say much, merely watching his father and his siblings' reactions to him. actually, it's quite infectious. he even feels is tail swishing a bit, although his face is as blank as ever, eyes and head tracking them all attentively* o_o *just as he was listening to Morgana's spiel of family and victory earlier, so now does Sigurd take in everything his father says. it may not be as pretty to listen to as the language of the birds, but it is important, so he focuses! focuses hard!* "......" 0_0 *stares up at his father when nudged. fortunate? considerate? such nice words, he likes when father talks. so caught up in listening, in fact, he almost doesn't hear what Alaric says* "......Other Morganas?"

Hollis: *waiting with Alana not too far off, totally oblivious to what horror awaits them. having been reunited with her father after who knows how long, she is thrilled. what could possibly make this better? unless...* "Do you think he found others of our family, Alana? I'd like to see my younger brother again. Royce, that is." *good guardians, Hollis actually sounds excited for once in her life, lifting a golden hoof and glancing at where their father had left*

Morgana: *Ah, this was almost too much for her little fawn heart. Concentrating too hard on her own little word, she heard nothing of her father's voice after his nuzzle and good words. She would be kind but strong like her father, even to the most reluctant herla like Sigurd. Her family was perfect, each piece complementing the other. And right now they were only missing one more piece of their wonderful, strong family. But even so, things were still so grand-* "Other Morganas?" *Thrown out of her internal monologing she gets to her hooves and nudges her brother, careful of her shoulder horns.* "There can't be more mes. I'm me." *Stares up at her father, her mental image of their perfect family wavering.* "Sigurd. You don't want me replaced, do you? ._. And you, Valhalla?" *Her sad red eyes looked to and fro, begging forgiveness from her brothers. So soon they would cast her out! What had she done wrong? She would make it up a thousand times if she could only know and stay.*

Valhalla: *he nods oh so eagerly, family time was very important, even if some of his family was so boring sometimes- pausing for a way-ward glance at Sigurd, yellow eyes aglow like little golden pools of ambrosia, if such a thing was to be bestowed upon the hartlands* "Right, cherish the time!" *And there he goes again with the all to eager nodding, but then he stops- older sisters? Other Morganas?* "Older sisters? There's more?" *And suddenly he feels a little apprehensive! He was the oldest wasn't he? But he had older sisters now?!* :1 *tail ceases wagging, not that he isn't excited! Just maybe... a little nervous is al- oh gosh Morgana* "What are you talking about? I'd never want to replace you!" *He frowns, much as he found Sigurd boring and Morgana a bit much as times he'd never want them replaced, not at all.*

Alana: *Also walking with her sister, for once not looking so bitter and pessimistic! Reconciling with her sister had lifted her spirits quite a bit, it seemed, and what with her father finally returning- things were looking up! She was quite excited about what Father had to show them, too. Ears perked with a gentle smile and not even a care nor a wince at the sound of tattered dragging sleeves on the ground; a herla expected to act with fluid grace, little did she know just how much she was going to stick out soon enough* "That would be lovely, actually." *As insufferable as she found their younger brother at times, she did miss his rambunctious monster chasing antics, and wondered what he might be up too, well, after that whole deal with that mutant hind, Natasha or whatever it was...* "But whatever it is, I'm sure I'd be pleased either way. But after being gone for so long... who knows what he could have to show us, Hmm?" *dainty steps and a girlish giggle later, she's on her way after her Father with her sister and...

What are those.*

Alaric: *ah, he was afraid they would react negatively. he felt an especially strong stab of guilt seeing Morgana afraid, but that feeling was at least assuaged a bit by her brothers' comforting (well, Sigurd's answer was a bit concerning, but they would hopefully see to that), and he craned his neck to give his youngest a reassuring nuzzle of his own, tousling her hair, voice a soft murmur* "That is right, you are the only Morgana. You are not being replaced, I simply want to introduce you to your larger family." *he straightened, looking his children over, wondering if this was simply too soon. hell, he might not have shown his excitement and outwardly as others of his family done, but that certainly didn't mean Alaric hadn't inherited his father's impulsiveness. and, he figured, the younger he introduced the siblings to each other, the sooner they may become one family again, and mend. it was his dearest hope, anyway. he couldn't possibly be ruining both sides with this move, right? Alaric felt himself grow cold with dread, but as always, would not allow himself to dwell. couldn't, anyway, as Alana and Hollis made their entrance. he turned, nearly forgetting what he wanted to say anxious as he was, but after the a deep breath he found his voice* "Hollis, Alana. I would like you to meet your brothers and--" *cutting off, he jerked his head to the sound of... Sigurd withdrawing into his thicket* "......" *stares silently, probably looking completely stoic while inside oh good guardians alarm bells are going insane with panic THIS WAS NOT GOING WELL*

Sigurd: *as far as Sigurd knew, he had only one sister. that was, of course, the suddenly desperate fawn next to him. Morgana was his only sister, that there could be sisters did not compute. so why was this one sister, the only one possible, worried? she was all he had known since he was born, this family was all he had known and all he would ever be content to know, how could it change? Sigurd wasn't sure he liked this. he answered his sister simply, head cocked and observing her reaction* "Replaced. No. There can be only one sister. Morgana." *his logic was sound, surely. a sister was who you grew up with! father couldn't just bring in others, could he?* "......" u_u *Sigurd did not like this uncertainty, this change. he knew leaving the thicket was a bad idea. therefore, he would restore things as they should be. turning back around, he dropped heavily back into his thicket with a whump, unaware of how insolent he looked curling up, eyes shut but, as always, ears perked to catch any and every sound*

Hollis: *What are those, indeed. stopping at the edge of the clearing, Hollis' smile dropped in a split second of confusion, eyes darting to very quickly gauge the thickets, the fawns, settling onto her father's face as he addressed them, explained, and it was so obvious of course he had new fawns, of course why else would these thickets and these children be here? but still she did not completely comprehend the fact, staring blankly as Alaric dropped the ball to stare, tensed, at the fawn that had taken to hiding in their thicket. ah, if only she could have gotten a better look. Hollis couldn't help it, a small smile of bitter amusement crept onto her face. that was quite the bratty maneuver, surely a sign of things to come. Hollis turned her attention onto the other fawns, the ones she could see, taking a casual step forward as she spoke, voice a dry calm tone as she stated the obvious because someone had to break the silence* "Well, this is quite the development."

Morgana: "O-oh. I-I see father." *Red with embarrassment and still rather shaky after the thought of being replaced she hung her head. She should really pay attention more. But she wasn't sure about more family, the one she had now was already perfect. Adding more would disrupt the delicate balance they had. Speaking of, she turned to watch Sigurd settle back into his thicket. Perhaps he had the right idea, but that was soon out of her head as an unfamiliar voice spoke. Wheeling around to defend her brother from the intruder she stared up at the much bigger hinds. So this was her not-replacement older siblings. With a critical red eye she sized them up from her low position. She could see the noble reflections of her father on the speaker but the silent one made her skeptical.* "I do not know, Sigurd. What do you think, Valhalla?" *As the eldest and thus the wisest he would surely know what the best course of action was.*

Valhalla: *It would be rude of him to instantly condemn the siblings his father spoke of, but he really didn't want any older siblings either! Especially since his own title of eldest was now in jeopardy!* ... <:1 *He supposed a chance wouldn't hurt, though. Maybe these older sisters would be really cool! Ears swivel when he hears something, and looks, only to see Sigurd retreating back into his thicket; he snorts indignantly. At least be a little respectful, see if they were worth the trouble and if they weren't then you could go withdraw like a hermit back into your bed but come on!* ......!! *But this is all cut short when he hears someone else, separate footsteps, and he knows it's these siblings but part of him wishes it was his other Father, despite knowing it's not. It's not and he knows it, and then it happens. His glowing yellow eyes lock onto the teal eyes of a dainty pink hind, and then quickly flash over to the large cream colored hind with the purple cape, and then back to the pink hind. He see's the resemblance in the larger mountain hind, sure; the pink hind, not so much. Ears flatten, he doesn't want this at all, but he can tell his father is starting to panic, and he would hate to cause this situation any extra discomfort! He stays put, despite his legs itching to move, hell, almost wanting to go hide in his own thicket* "I do not know, Morgana." *He replies finally, although delayed from the shock* "I do not know."

Alana: *Quite the development? Yeah, it sure was one hell of a development, that's for sure! Expression going choleric, an understatement compared to the indignation she was actually starting to feel rise and bubble up. Hooves digging into the soft earth under her, her irritated expression fades to a frown, and her eyes narrow slightly, and then they narrow more. She remembered so long ago, finally reuniting with her father; but he had to leave. Had to do something, and she didn't press, she was just happy to see them, happy to know he was still alive and he left her and all she could muster was a sad little smile, frail like a rose petal, frail like a graceful pink hind with the unicorn horn, and then finally, finally, he comes back. With fawns.* "I..." *Her voice cracks a bit, and she takes a step back* "Brothers?" *He never did finish his statement before one of them retreated into his thicket. See? This family wanted nothing to do with her, and she wanted nothing to do with them. She suddenly wishes she could just demand an explanation out of her father, through gritted teeth she bites back an insult or some other malevolent statement, and steals a glance at Hollis to see her reaction, yet she was taking a step forward, towards her father, their father, and his new children. So many things to say, shame there were young ones around. She stays behind, weary and wary, staring at this family and good god look at how perfectly they all fit in with each other, and she despises it, if it wasn't so clear before. That fawn left into his thicket, and she had half a mind to turn around herself. She doesn't though, not yet, she just stands there. Stands and stares and judges.*
PostPosted: Mon Mar 26, 2012 8:58 pm

Alaric: *sighs, deciding to give Sigurd some space, pulled out of his racing thoughts by Hollis' sardonic tone. glad she's enjoying herself, at least. swinging his head to look back over at his elder daughters, he makes eye contact with Alana and nearly winces at the look she's giving him. she really does have her mother's looks down, in more ways than one. swallowing, the guilt piercing stronger than ever, he slowly approaches her, despite the fact that his nervously roiling gut was telling him he made a mistake, a big one, and he should just retreat because he was totally dead to his daughter, you think she wants anything to do with them? look at her* "Alana?" *he was looking at her, alright. and, despite how much he towered over her, Alaric felt so small standing before Alana, her judging gaze pretty much, yeah, making her verdict quite clear. and still, all he could do was ask both the most obvious and the most pressing question, at a loss for what else.* "...What is wrong, my Alana?" *he hoped he didn't sound as weak as he felt right now*

Sigurd: *huddled in his thicket, he simply makes a noncommittal little noise like he totally doesn't care about what's going on, but he's still very keen on hearing his siblings' reactions. the real siblings, not these fakers* unu *speak of the devil! the faker speaks again, closer now, and Sigurd bristles but stays silent, on alert* unĂ³

Hollis: *yes indeed, she will leave the Al & Al show to their little drama, quite sincerely interested in these fawns. no longer so cautious, she takes to striding on up, tickled by how close they are. it's cute, she envies it, hoping it'll last but, cynical as ever, knowing it won't* "Is that any way to greet your big sister?" *sounds too amused, eyeing the braver ones. this new sister, she takes a lot after father. and just look at those spines, with more on the way by the looks of it. the other one, her brother, he takes a lot after grandfather. she sees the telltale signs of horns on his head, two of them, and snorts. that might look very ridiculous, or very impressive, but either way, according to her father's experience, quite the annoyance!*

Carefully Morgana steps closer to Hollis as she approaches. If she was going to extend the olive branch, well.. they might as well too. "Fair greetings, sister." Her voice sounded unsteady, but she did her best to look pleased. Her sister looked like quite a dignified noble, possibly even a warrior. But all thoughts were pushed aside when she heard her fathers timid voice. It was... different. Unsettling. Wrong. Automatically going on the defensive she strode past Hollis towards the two Als. "Hey! Why are you looking so angry at my-.. at our father?" As much as she began to admire the dauntlessness of this dainty outsider sister she wasn't please at all with how she was treating their father. Her little legs began to quiver as she tried to hold in her emotions. "He hasn't done anything wrong!" Well, not that she knew of. Her father was a saint and there was nothing anyone could say to change that.
