Welcome to the new edition of the HPGoG Hogwart's Story! This new edition is going to be slightly different from the last one in a few ways...

It's going in the The Hogwarts Monthly! Every month we'll be putting the story in the paper, while there may be some editing done, it will only be for the purpose of making smooth transitions, and we will do our utmost to keep it minimal.

As a result of this, at the end of each month I'll be posting a brief summary of the story's progression, which will all be both posted in the topic and added to the "Previously on Hogwarts Story..." post below.

Also as a new feature of this, to try to help the story be more fluid and easier to follow, some months we'll have a *Special Character* Month! For those months, we will be taking suggestions and asking members to vote on four separate aspects of a new standing character in the story! (one aspect per week). These characters will be based on some basic story archetypes like "The Hero" "The Best Friend" "The Nemesis" or others. We'll usually give you a heads up before we start one, so for announcements regarding *Special Character* Months, keep an eye out for SHOUT posts!
The rules are the same, I'll start the story and you continue it however you like.
