This is where you will find how the training system within the tribe works and is carried out. Please make sure you understand this so as to avoid confusion in the future.

Placement Stage

After a little bit of role playing in the villiage itself, when you're ready, you may begin the placement stage of your training, where you will be evaluated on how you complete certain tasks. There are seven tasks, one from each class master, each specializing in that certain class. Depending on how you go about each task will determine what class of dragon you will be placed in in order to further and complete your training. The seven tasks can be found in the announcement thread within the training subforum.
Your responsibility here is to make your own thread in the training subforum and begin the seven taks you have been given. Myself and the other masters will be monitoring your progress.
Only one post per task, and a minimum of one written page that has been typed in length, example below.
The more detail you give in your completing the tasks, the easier it will be to place you in the proper class so you can continue your training. And don't think you can manipulate which class you are put in, they are determined by many factors that don't have to do with just the seven tasks.

This is roughly how long each task should be
Quote:
Opposite to his rider's early years, Kovu started at the top of his flock as a hatchling. As soon as he figured out how to walk, he started to work with his wings which is why they're bigger and stronger than usual, and from there, he kept working, running against the wind with open wings, continuing to work his way to higher and higher launching points. As with most every dragon, a young dragon's right of passage on their first birthday is their first flight on their own without guidance. However, when that time came, Kovu had already experienced the full magic of flight about a month prior.
No more than a few days after the flying ceremony though, the clan had gotten word of nearing humans knowing them to be coming along with one of their own young to meet one of them.

Roelerra had been in long wait for her chance to go out and find her dragon, and despite the many arguements against her choice, she remained adamant in her decision. Her time had finally come, and so she made herself ready, and packed well, having been warned that she could be gone for days, and might not even see a Night Fury, but she was still determined.
No new dragon rider had ever been gone for any more than five days, and if that time came, the island would send out a search party to bring them home, but Roelerra assured as she boarded the boat that would take her to the strike class island, that she would return on the back of a Night Fury.

The Night Fury clan was preparing as one of the scouts caught sight of the nearing ship. They weren't against humans by any means, knowing full well what one of their own had done those years ago, but they were a naturally proud clan and felt that their legends needed to be upheld. So as the ship neared, about half a day away, most, if not all, of the clan moved to the higher mountains, knowing that most young humans wouldn't bear the trip up there. However, there was one young dragon who remained in the lower island. Kovu had been told of these humans, and just because he was ambitious and a little hot headed didn't mean that he wasn't curious. So, with their side of the island nearly empty, save for a few wandering Skrill and other shadow and light dragons, Kovu remained as the ship touched the shore.

Recieving good-byes and good lucks from the tribe leader, her class master, and her parents who had joined on the ship ride, young thirteen year old Roe took her first step onto the strike island.
Waving her parents and company farewell, Roe set off from the shore with her pack hung over one shoulder and her staff in hand, ready to begin her search.

Right of Passage

Welcome to the end of being trained, and the beginning of your own training. This is the right of passage, where you are taken to the dragon lands by the tribe leader and your class master in order to find your very own dragon. You are going to have to apply all of your previous training in order to effectively find your own dragon and be able to prove yourself and portray that you want to befriend it. Your character will be left upon the island where their chosen dragon can be found in order to create a better environment for bonding without interference. Unless specified otherwise, the only way to get back to Berk is to fly back, so you'll need to work really hard to get your dragon to trust you for the first flight. You have to be on the island a minimum of two days and a maximum of five days. Your character will land on the island by boat at night, and that morning marks the first day. And by days, I mean role playing days, not physical days. You'll have to portray night and day in your post(s)
None of us will be playing the dragons for you. It is up to you to create a believable and realistic relationship as you come across your dragon. No dragon will be immediately loyal to it's human companion, that takes time and training together in order to achieve. The more detail and thought you put into the first encounter between you and your dragon, the more fun it will be for you, and the easier it will be to continue to build that relationship.
