Sitting at her desk while she was writing up some notes while Aklin kept on poking her as he was a little bored and not really in a mood to ask questions as he wanted to hit things and not watch his hunter make notes on Halloween creatures.
Well you do have a point as I have been thinking about the text that he sent and I think that I will take him up on it. Tori replied to her weapon as he made happy sounds while she put her notes away got her jacket on and headed out the door texted Marcus back. iStoleYurVamps I'm going to take you up on that spar. So I will meet you at the training grounds. It didn't take her long to get to the training grounds as she had gotten excited about the spar and it was Aklin that was even more excited that she was about it. Practice makes perfect and she total knew that she needed the practice if she wanted to master her weapon or at least get the hang of handing him correctly and effectively, Tori thought as she waited for Marcus to arrive.

He'd been working on building a small model ship of all things. It seemed like a good way to exercise his ability to 'build' and if anything, follow instructions, coordination, steady hand- if he could do this he'd try to work on one in a bottle or something. Lusky enough, when his phone went off, he'd not been gluing. Last time that happened he got some on his desk with was a pain. He smiled though when he saw who it was. She wanted a spar he'd be happy to give one! Besides, he'd been leaning over a desk for the last hour, he could use a break. Going out tho the feilds to meet her, he waved as he arrived. "So, you ready to spar I take it? naggeela Ahhh sorry for late reply!

Tori gave a little smile when she saw Marcus waving when he had gotten to the fields and she waved back in return. Aklin stopped asking his hunter questions as he was total ready to test themselves to see how far they could go. "Yep I'm total ready. I might not have not done too many spars but I really need the practice," Tori replied. Excited to see how well she could do against Marcus and all of his knowledge and experience he had that she lacked.

Tori smile turned into a grin as she was excited and summoned her weapon. Chain clanked while she made sure that she had a good grip on the hilt and chain. "Don't go easy, use your full strength, Marcus." Tori said as she readied herself to attack but her chain came lose a little to which she tripped forward and missing hitting Marcus all together as she struggled not to fall on her face. Hp: 40/40 Attack: 0 Charges: 0/3 0/2 (Battle Cry) (Lets try this again with dice this time) iStoleYurVamps Its alright, I don't mind at all and I hope that you don't mind that I attacked after rolling a higher number and if so I'm sorry.

"A few spars or not, having done one is better than having done non at all you know?" Summoning his sword, Marcus heard Dis teasing him how he was going to be beating on yet another newbie. Not that new.

Never~Banter with Dis aside, Marcus didn't have time to defend against the first attack, making him smile. Missed or not, she moved quickly. "Good try and get the first strike, looks like you need a bit of work on the delivery?" His words were not to be mocking, but rather he spoke in an amused tone. "You'll get better over time. Everyone does." Slashing at he he smiled. "And as requested I won't hold back. HP: 50/50 Damage: 6

"That is very true," Tori replied as she finally caught herself and rearranged how she was holding the chain. Tori got even more excited to see Marcus weapon and Aklin was also excited as it was the chance at a close range spar. "Thanks and that I do, but then I this chain does get awkward at times and a little strange to be on a bladed weapon," she answered still smiling as the chain in question clanked with the movement but keeping her eyes on Marcus and his weapon. Taking his blow as it was a nice strong one it hurt but for all good. "I really do hope that is true," Tori replied looking for an opening and maybe seeing one she went for it and to make sure to put her hips into the swing. "And I really do appreciate it," Feeling her blow connect. Hp: 34/40 Attack: 6 Charges: 1/3 0/2 (Battle Cry)

Chuckling, he dug his boots in when she got a hit, trying to wince. "Nice one." Spinning his blade in his hand, Marcus watched the way the chain and ball moved. "Keep you balanced centered, and make sure to keep your movement fluid, never stiff and jerky. That's a fast way to not only get your muscles to work against you, but a good way to open your self to an attack." Swinging down at her, he hoped his words made sense, because when he'd been told them, he wasn't sure. HP: 44 Damage: 8

Grinning some as Aklin was prancing in her head and wanting for her to attack more. "Like the fluid motion of water, Aklin says that a lot to be one with the water," Tori replied as she hadn't thought of making sure that she was center balanced, but she was taking in all that he said. Taking his hit as it was stronger than the last as she had left herself open to which in time and practice to prevent. Adjusting her hold on the chain to where her balance was centered more. Taking his advice to mind as she when in for another attack and to which she over compensated her center and missed entirely. One day she was going to get the hang of this but right now she was getting frustrated. Hp: 26 Attack: 0 Charges: 1/3 0/2 (Battle Cry)

He laughed at that. "Not like.. water I don't thing but just relaxed? Its an odd sort of state, you need to be ready to move, but you also need to be ready to adapt and land a hit." Her stance as odd, but he wondered if it was because of the ball and chain. "Try keeping your feet shoulder length apart, and see if you can't use natural momentum, when I come at you, use my own force against me and see how that works." Running towards her, he aimed to stab at her side. HP: 44 Damage: 7

Tori chucked a little herself as what could she do as her partner was once a water creature and really has water on the brain. "Ah I see now. Sorta like in a trance that you are aware of things around you but have to keep an open mind to react to what is coming towards you," she answered trying to think on it logically. Listening to the rest of what Marcus was saying and that did make sense and after this it would be more practice. "Alright I can try that,"
Taking in a deep breath taking the stance he suggested, watching Marcus charge and taking the stab to her side as it hurt. Moving her body with his blow and with that same movement she took a swipe with her sword while keeping her balance with the ball and chain.

He hissed through he teeth as he felt her blow connect. "Ah, yeah that's how it's done." He was smiling, even as Dis was rolling his eyes. "Good job Tori, now-" he switched his sword to his other hand, changing his stance, "Think about how you stand, and how it leaves you open. Where are you weak, and where are you strong?" Tori smiled and Aklin murred in content that his hunter was finally getting how to fight as he would make a good fighter out of her yet if he had to yell at her lots more and ask lots of questions too. She was happy but knew it could have been a fluke maybe, but she wasn't going to give up. "Alright," Tori answered as she thought on what he had told her. She knew that she was weak with keeping her center as she had yet to find the balance between sword and ball chain. A wider stance and be flexible to change, oh I could use the chain to help guard too she thought. Alright she thought she had gotten it she was weak on the side with her chain and strong with her sword. So she charged up to Marcus and swiped at him making sure to keep her chain side away from him with the attack as she also held up the chain for a little protection. She was getting better, and he wasn't even a pro but he could see it. "Good job." Granted, she was beating into him but hey, that was what training was for. "Can you attack with the ball?" He was bit curious, sriking out at her again. "See if you can't use that to hit me while feinting with your sword." HP: 36 Damage:

Tori still couldn't believe that she was doing well even with there difference in strengths and knowledge. "I have tried before and most of the time it fail, but alright I will give it a try," she replied and thought on how to attack with the ball effectively while feinting with her sword. Once she had an idea of how to do it, taking a deep breath and charged for an attack like the last time but at the last second bringing her sword down as she had given the chain more slack as she brought down the ball end down to meet its mark instead of the sword.
