The Isle itself is composed of a large exterior natural wall, sheer black cliffs that surround almost all sides of the isle. The only way to access the crater within, containing the city and its infrastructure, is through underground tunnels from the other islands.
The isle is void of natural life, instead, relying entirely on sediment and a history of building from the base upwards. Large spires can be seen extending beyond the cliffs themselves, just the very tips. The general theme and colour of the isle is simple and somber, because of the rituals that take place on the Isle. The central hub of the Isle is actually home to the priestesses, the order of Death who are responsible for the rites and traditions of their clan. They unite as a higher power within the clan, their actions sacred and revered, second to noone except for of course, the Four Clans ruler himself.
Life within the city walls are otherwise simple: all residents must offer their prayers to the priestesses, and contribute their harvested Fear to teachings of Death, as ordained by the sanctified order. Only a selected few are considered priestesses, messengers of the word of Death, the process itself of a sending souls, of blessings, and of acceptance. Most residents other than attending their prayers, spend their times working and reconstructing the large spires and towers in their island, as well as harvesting Fear. They continue their lives symbiotically with the priestesses.
The most ornate towers within the Isle of Death are those belonging to the priestess order: most others are simple dwellings set in iron and stone. While the structures can accumulate to massive heights, their contents within are often large, cavernous, and barren. Many of the clans are however, well versed in the weapon smithing and crafting arts, as well as jewel and metal crafting.

 The order of Priestesses:
The order of priestesses keep to themselves unless formally requested. They rarely stop to talk, always glance downwards, unless talking to a Clans member in one of the many temples, and walk quickly, with purpose. They are rarely seen however, outside of the temple, lest outside of the clans alone. There is one head priestess, who oversees all prayer and guidance
- The order of priestesses are in charge of keeping records of "souls", meaning the Fear they harvest from deaths. They archive and log all accounts to keep tabs on their own Fear development. At the end of the day, they partake in "prayer", thanking those of the Clan for their guidance, and blessing their work for the next day. All priestesses have guardians, clans members entrusted with protecting them and serving them, though the higher ranking priestesses may have a personal few at their disposal. Guardians are considered silent protectors, never to speak unless addressed.
-When a new Clans member is introduced, or when a Clans member has situation for ceremony, such as a change in their job, it is the priestesses who watch over the ceremony, offering simple blessings. Such introductions and blessings however, are also followed by a mental trial. The inducted must breathe in the enchanted incense and face and defeat their own fears. This is called a 'trance' state.
- Often, when Clans members need guidance, they will also asked to be set into 'trance'. Priestesses individually guide these members, sometimes even appearing the trance as a guiding figure, similar to how some creatures can invade dreams. However, as this is less a state of subconscious but literally, the Priestess's ability to connect realms together, all within the safety of their minds only. The body remains in a dormant state until the effect of the trance wears off. Many Clans members use this ability to seek or gain knowledge, from the outer world, their surroundings, to themselves.
The Heir:
- Currently, Death, or the leader of the Clan is away, and it is now public notice. As he is busy, the Heir is now the figurehead of the Clan. Like her predecessor, she does not actually partake in any of the daily clan's lives but instead, keeps a watchful eye on everyone, her role that simply of a guardian, ensuring the safety of the clan.

 [ Caste System: Death ]
All Four Clans members, depending on their Clan, have a unique caste structure. The Clan of Death has a simple caste structure that is actually dictated by their beliefs, the priestesses acting as a guide that unifies their Clan together. Though they prefer passive guidance, they may take to arms and fight if the other clans request their assistance: among themselves they are the most peaceful of the four Clans.
[ Job Classes: Death ]
gaia_crown [ Heir ]: The Heir of Death is considered, like their actual leader, the guardian of all priestesses. Usually, they are female, and are also well versed in the priestess traditions and methodology, though are not considered official members any more but more of a strong guiding and protecting figure. Heirs are usually elected from the order of priestesses and the Clan leader's will.
gaia_diamond [ Priestess ]: All priestesses, are, without fail female. They are born with stronger capabilities, or these abilities manifest in them over time: the ability to harvest Fear, the ability to learn the traditions and arts of their clan, and the ability to invoke trance: the art of illusion and realm creation. There is one Head Priestess that watches over the order.
gaia_diamond [ Guardian ]: Guardians are chosen clan members who specifically protect the priestesses, like personal bodyguards. Usually, Guardians are chosen by a certain priestess, as those of higher ranking ask for one or sometimes two guardians: the higher the rank, the more guardians they are allowed to seek out. Guardians are the ones who also fulfill the requests of their assigned priestess, such as gathering supplies, including Fear, an enforcing the teachings upon the Clan, and are usually chosen from the ranks of Ashen Soldiers. They are sworn a vow of secrecy, usually asked never to speak their own will unless directly spoken to.
gaia_star [ Jewelcrafter ]: Jewelcrafters have the unique capability of manipulating Fear-imbued gemstones and matter and giving them a stronger power. They also are well versed in metal smithing and weapon crafting, combining their abilities together to create strong Fear-powered weapons, tokens of blessings, and specifically, accessories, Omens, that empower various areas of Fear.
gaia_star [ Ashen Soldier ]: Ashen Soldiers, instead of just protecting priestesses, protect their entire Clan, and also make sure that Fear is being harvested properly: in another world, they would be known as Reapers. They are the ones that go to the Human world to collect the Fear when it is time, and the ones who bring back Fear on a large-scale basis. Ashen Soldiers also all wield Fear-imbued weapons .
