Reine had sat down, and thought about it a lot. A lot more than a lot. She'd spent days looking at her new jacket, and remembering her promotion mission, and come to the conclusion that there was nothing on the island cooler than Caelius. Even Caelius-in-Robert's-body, while admittedly weaker- after all, she'd had to save him- had that aura of don't-mess-with-me that somewhat excited her.
When it came down to it, she saw much more that she could learn from him, than the life division leader she barely saw at all, and who, as far as she knew, didn't even go along with them on missions. In terms of.. well, things like technical skills, and abilities, and generally just being badass during missions- like that time he'd saved them from the horseman. Even if Caelius didn't seem quite the mentoring sort, Reine figured there was a lot she could pick up just from, well, being around him, potentially.
Which was why, after days of agonising over it, she sent him a text message, requesting a possible division transfer.
And then immediately buried her head under her pillow, both dreading and anticipating his reply- assuming he'd even bother. Caelius did make his opinion of trainees somewhat obvious, after all..

Reine would probably have to wait a very long time, possibly post-apocalypse for a reply from Yours Truly, who was currently, yelling at a Mist Hunter in his office in a manner something like this: 'Why are you bringing the wrong table again, don't you even know what a round ******** table is, I asked round, not oval. Blah blah blah, death threats, blah.'
Or maybe Robert could break another artifact again.

And then days, more days of just waiting. Reine might even have skipped meals, simply staring at her phone and wasting away, pining for some sort of reply, some contact from the outside world..
Finally she decided to pull herself off the bed, rolling onto the floor and staring blankly at the ceiling for a few minutes, then standing up and getting dressed. Properly dressed, because this was Important to her, even if it clearly wasn't to Caelius.
Minutes later she was hovering around outside his office, peeking in from time to time and just admiring the way he was yelling. About tables.

In less than thirty seconds, the entire conversation regarding perfectly round tables was wrapped up with a Mist Hunter hightailing out of the room as if their life, which most likely did, depend on it.
And then an audible pause and shuffle of papers as the Death Hunter leader continued to work, probably finding a way to make everyone's lives a little more miserable, the light scratching noise of a pencil scraping simple annotations onto a text-heavy map. The noise stopped. "If this isn't a matter requiring immediate ******** attention then I recommend you find someone else to bother, trainee."
It was a pity they weren't on first name terms anymore, really.

Reine squeaked and skittered to the side when the mist trainee burst out of Caelius' office, hoping she'd kept out of view, and therefore, out of danger. Just as she breathed a sigh of relief, though, the sound of pencil-scratches comforting her, calming her down, they stopped.
And then he spoke. It seemed like he was speaking to her. There wasn't any other trainee around, was there? The hallway was empty, and.. yeah, okay, she had no choice. Reine tapped on the door lightly, then took a step in.
"I'd like to request a division transfer, Sir."
And then she paused for a moment, trying to catch her breath.
"To death."
Just to make it clear, in case he misunderstood. Or something.

Caelius stopped for a second and simply gave Reine a look. Glad to see she clarified that she wanted to transfer the Death division of where he was, of great surprise, currently responsible for (amongst not surprisingly a lot of Deus Ex Machina but that was another story in itself involving extremely intimidated Council members and a lot of yelling), it was always good to have sharp, young, trainee minds.
See: sarcasm.
He gave her suggestion approximately half a second of thought before returning back to work, not bothering to justify ridiculous requests with redundant answers. That is, until a second later, the pencil simply stopped, poised in mid-strike.
Robert.
"I see." It was safe to say that Reine had slightly more interest than absolute silence invested in her request now. "I can take your request into consideration, but in case you are not aware of how things work around here, a division transfer will require proof and merit of exemplary work. What can you provide to this division?"

Her vocabulary might have decided to conveniently disappear on her the moment Caelius turned to look at her, which did not help the matter at all, considering the question he'd asked. Inside, Reine was probably screaming, though on the outside she did at least, for her own sake, manage to keep herself looking calm.
"I.." Oh good, it was a start. Bits and pieces were starting to come back to her, combinations of alphabets that maybe formed words. Why had she not pre-written some sort of speech, or even prepared a resume? How could she really hope to impress Caelius, when she had no proof or merit of exemplary work.. and when, whether he remembered it or not, he'd personally had to punish her twice?
"I'm willing to prove my worth," she managed to say. "In any way I can."

"Fortunately for you," Caelius continued, pretty much not really expecting any semblance of intelligence to come out of the trainee's mouth anyway, as was the usual response, "There is currently a shortage of Hunters available for several external missions." He made sure to give Reine the entire don't ******** it up or I will personally end you stare. "You will assemble a group of at least three Hunters to work with you, of preferably trainee status as you will, for the sake of your transfer request be acting as the leader of your team. That means you are responsible for your team's actions, and you are responsible for your team's failures. Am I making myself very ******** clear?"

"Yes, sir" Reine replied, straightening up. Considering she might have just been tasked with something that could kill her, the way her eyes were sparkling as she looked at him was possibly somewhat inappropriate. She even felt herself shiver at the way he looked at her, though it might actually, for once, have been her survival instincts telling her to 'get the **** out of there or you might die'.
Feelings were easy to confuse, when it came to Caelius.

"The mission report details will be forwarded to your cell phone. You will have exactly two hours to assemble a team before your portal dispatch and additional preparations are ready. Your team will report immediately to me post-mission."
It looked like Caelius pretty much had enough of his share of listening to yes sirs as well as he went back to perusing the map. "You are dismissed trainee."
A few minutes later, after Reine had left the room, there would be a text:Text from Caelius External Mission 5C: - Residents of a small community have been reported missing as of 03/10/12 at 41°59′N 82°59′W. There is suspected Four Clans activity, and suggestion that it is close to the site of the Lair. A precursory investigation is required to re-verify the location of the Lair as well as its current status. Hostiles are not to be engaged, only surveyed. Additional equipment: Surveillance camera, Fear scanner. Portal location and time of departure: 13:00, Lighthouse Portal OOC Reine can now ICLY text any 3+ people she would like to bring with her on this mission. She can also RP with people to find in other threads, but once she is ready, she needs to report, with the group, back to this thread at the Lighthouse Portal location, where the next GM action will then be posted. All team members need to post here as well (waiting at the Lighthouse portal)

With a quick nod and a smile Reine ducked back out. Two hours to assemble a team, okay, portal dispatch and additional preparations, by the time she was a safe distance away from Caelius' office, Reine was practically unable to control her giggling.
No wait, she had to remind herself, mission meant poker face and all sorts of seriousness. That attempt lasted only a few minutes, however, until the text from Caelius arrived. This just all sounded so... so exciting, and potentially life-threatening, but exciting! And it was what she'd wanted all along, a chance to prove herself.
Which meant that this mission had to be a success, no matter what, and for success, you needed a good team.
Several texts were sent out in quick succession as Reine happily skipped over towards the lighthouse, still unable to contain her excitement. It was only after a few minutes that Reine realised Caelius had given her two hours to assemble a team.. and so she simply stood at the lighthouse portals, clutching her phone.
Waiting for them.Kaiyumi Text to Eva: Evieeee! Mission if you're up for it! 1PM, Lighthouse portal. Baneful Text to Rep: You did pretty well in the last one, so here's another mission. 1PM, Lighthouse portal. Nyxtsuki Moon Assuming Dakota met Eva on the way, requested to come along, Reine doesn't know yet ICly until they arrive. ILU 5 EVR Assuming Clerise was with Dakota, and followed him along.

Despite the amount of beatings and injuries that had resulted from them, Rep still looked forward to mission texts. So when he received this one, he was pretty ******** stoked. No more sitting bored out of his brain in his dorm. He had more s**t to beat up. You could never have too much s**t to beat up. He got hurriedly dressed and kitted out, wincing a little as he stood up during this process. Seemed he was still just a little sore from his run in with Marcus, but that wouldn't stop him, he was fit enough to punch some monsters.
It didn't take him long to show up at the portal, after all real men just threw on whatever came to hand and ran a brush vaguely through their hair, none of that metro sexual s**t.
He didn't feel the need to bring anything other than his usual things, this Reine bird was pretty in his books. She'd done fine on the other mission and as such he had a good feeling this one'd be nice and smooth as well. All in all a nice little positive mark on his record to show he was good and ******** able to do whatever he had to to Simon and that he could toe the line.
"Sup." he stated with his usual smirk inclining his head to Reine as he arrived.

After a morning of training, Eva decided it was finally time to grab some lunch. Intent on relieving the persistent grumbling of her stomach, she slipped back into the building and head towards the cafeteria. Man, I wonder what I should eat together? None of that cafeteria goop, to be sure. Maybe a slice of bread with some--hmmm?
And that was when she spotted them--a pair of trainees walking right in front of her. One of them--Dakota--was obviously very familiar, but the other trainee was only slightly familiar. She could recall seeing her around, but...one of the lambs, perhaps? "Hey! Afternoon, you guys!" Calling out to them, she jogged towards the pair, eyes bright and a wide grin spread across her lips. She had been about to say more when her phone suddenly buzzed in her pocket. Holding her hand up in a "hang on a sec" gesture, she pulled out her phone and scanned the text.
"...Hmm, a mission from Reine?" She murmured this aloud, but mostly to herself, "I'm definitely free today, so I don't see why not!" Her fingers moved rapidly across the keys as she typed up a reply.Text to Reine Sounds good with me, Reine! I'll be there! <3 With that done, she snapped her phone shut and turned back to smile at Dakota and Clerise. "Sorry about that, I--..." Eva's eyes widened with confusion as she glanced between the two trainees, cocking her head to the side, "...What?"
And that was how Eva ended up bringing two trainees with her to the portal at 1pm. When she arrived, she offered Rep a friendly grin before turning a somewhat sheepish one towards Reine. "I, er...hey! I hope you don't mind, but uh..."
She turned and looked over her shoulder at the two who had followed her here.

Oooohhh, there Rep was, after two long hours Reine was glad for almost any kind of company, not to mention she hadn't eaten for some time, and at this point, only adrenaline and also pressure from Caelius were keeping her functional. Maybe Reine should have grabbed something from the cafeteria during those two hours, instead of just standing there, but she just hadn't thought of it, because 'and also get some lunch' hadn't been in the mission briefing.
Welp.
"We're still waiting for one more person," Reine said, grinning at Rep. "Glad to see you're on time, though." See? It was a good start already, she'd done well picking a team.
All of the confidence, Reine had it.
Until Eva showed up. Or, more specifically, it wasn't at the sight of Eva that Reine's jaw dropped, it was the two people behind her.

Dakota was mowing down on who knows what in his hand with Clerise as he noticed his angel walk in. Evurday was special day when Angel walked in to the room. Grinning he went to drape himself all over her.
"Hi Angel." He smiled at her as he finished munching on again, whoever knows what and blinked, was she talking to herself?
"What? A mission for Reine?" His ears perked up and had him leaning over for the details before grinning, "Clerise! Reine's got a mission, want to go crash it?" He stubbornly clung to Eva.
And to make a short story short. Now he was here with Eva, Clerise and Reine. And some dude who was bigger then he was but looked new and Dakota wasn't worried. Or wasn't going to worry for now.
"Sup Reine? I wanna tag a long." Mostly to keep her safe and well, have fun at the same time. He looked over to Rep before holding his hand out. "Sup bro, I'm Dakota of the moon division!"
