It was a lazy, dreary day. The clouds were covering the sun, a reflection of Aggro's current mood. Zoey, his one concern in the world, was currently at the hospital. She was only having tests done, but she still wished he could be with her, for support. But, since the change, her parents were weary of letting him get too close to her. They thought he might have a disease, and with Zoey's immune system already weak, they couldn't be too careful. So, many of his days were spent helping his mother and father gather precious stones from the various caves and mines. He missed his days of hanging out at his little house and playing with Zoey.

"Go take a break, sweetie," Gojira patted her young boy on the head. Even though he had changed, she still saw him as her little pebble. She gave him a little kiss on the top of the head and sent him outside of the cave they were working in today.

Aggro gave a groan at the kiss but eagerly ran outside. As he got outside, the brightness of the outside caused him to shield his eyes for a second or two until they could adjust from the darkness of the cave. Even though it was cloudy, it was still quite the lighting change for his eye. Once adjusted, he took a deep breath and wondered off a bit. The particular cave they were working in today was near the base of the mountain, close enough for Aggro to find a nice tree to sit under while keeping the mouth of the cave in sight. Leaning against the tree, he pulled a tasty little rock out his pocket and began munching on it.

“C’mon Honey! We are almost there!” Lilly exclaimed as she ran ahead.

“Um,“ Honey started, looking down at the map that that Celes had bought for her, “I don’t think we are where you think we are….”

Giggling, Lilly replied, “Then that makes it even more of an adventure!” With a twirl, she spun about, mid-step, and stopped to wait for her companion to catch up.

Honey was relieved, very relieved, greatly relieved even. The spot that Lilly had originally pointed out, well, it seemed to be some sort of volcanic cave. Honey had not been looking forward to that. She was a Bug-Type and Lilly was Grass-Type; neither of them mixed particularly well with the Fire-Types that were sure to be found in a volcano.

Sliding her glasses into place, she carefully examined the map and added “It does look like there are some other caves around here though….” These caves didn’t look nearly as dangerous; it actually looked like they may be active mines, if she was reading the map correctly. Maybe they wouldn’t even have to go inside! They could just go up to them and find a ‘No Entry’ sign and just peak in. She could only hope!

“Really?” Lilly exclaimed, excited at what she may discover within. Visions of lava tubes, ancient ruins and hidden caches of gems, the size of her, danced through her mind. This was going to be an adventure alright! Maybe they would find something even better than that ancient crown!

“Yep, and I think it is right over there,” Honey stated, her right hand and pointer finger outstretched. “It shouldn’t be far.”

“Let’s go!” Lilly exclaimed as she twirled back around and ran off. Honey ran off after her, worried about what they might find.

The pointed green ears of Aggro twitched, he could hear the chattering of the two girls as they neared. Glancing about, to try and find where the noise was coming from, his red eyes spotted the girls heading towards one of the cave mines. Scrambling, he fumbled with the rock he'd been munching on and shoved it in his pocket awkwardly. He wasn't familiar with clothes, but he did like how they could hold things... like snacks. He stood up and hurried towards the girls, waving his arms about to get their attention. It wasn't safe for those untrained or unsupervised to venture into the caves, they could get themselves seriously injured and not just by falling rocks. Many of the old mines had been abandoned due to aggressive Pokemon while others had been mined cleaned were left as new homes for various cave dwellers.

Aggro ran up to the two girls, only stopping when he arrived near them. Bending over to catch his breath, he wished he didn't weigh so much... Rock was hard to move at fast speeds. After taking a few more deep breaths he stood up and got a good look at the two girls in front of him. Some sixth sense in him suggested they were changed Pokemon like himself, and he couldn't stop staring at them.

“There it is!” Lilly exclaimed. “Time for an adventure!” She was excited! Who knew what the two of them might uncover. There could be gemstones or maybe they would stumble upon ancient ruins! She didn’t know what they would find, but she was sure that it would be amazing.

Close behind her, Honey was wondering why someone hadn’t stopped them yet. Weren’t there any people around? Who lets a couple of girls explore caves? It made no sense! They could get hurt!

Just then, Aggro arrived. Honey’s first thought, as she turned around was, Thank Arceus. Someone is stopping us. Then she saw who was there. It was another Poke-kid and he seemed rather rugged. She desperately hoped that he was here to stop them, not to encourage them to go farther.

“Whatcha staring at?” Lilly asked with a giggle, “Are we the first changed Pokémon you have seen, other than yourself?” Despite her giggles, she knew that in a similar circumstance, she would be just as shocked, though a tad more talkative. Looking at his tail, she asked, “Are you a totodile?” Other parts didn’t match up so well, but, having seen several totodile before, it was her best guess. “Oh! And I am Lilly and this is Honey!”

Honey then nervously added, “Hello, how are you?” She really hoped the other kid was there to stop them.

The boy, ashamed of staring, blushed and looked at the ground immediately after Lilly had had something about it. He did manage a small nod in response to her question before sheepishly looking back to the two. His clawed feet fumbled with each other as he didn't really know how to proceed. Her next question was a little more difficult to answer for him... since he didn't speak. His face contorted into an uncertain thought-filled expression. Raising his hand a bit, he flattened it out and shook it from side-to-side at the wrist as if to say, "sorta."

He shrugged at Honey's question. He couldn't complain about how he felt currently, but he could think of things he rather be doing. Squatting down, to hopefully move the conversation along, he wrote his name in the soft dirt, upside-down (to him), so the two girls could read it. Well, he hoped they could read it... his handwriting was fairly legible. He'd only just recently learned how to write.

Once they had his name down, he wiped his hand across it, clearing it for the next thing he had to "say." He began with drawing a rough image of a mountain with a hole, symbolizing a cave, in the dirt. Looking up from his drawing he pointed to it and tilted to his head to the side. He was asking if they were going to go explore the caves.

Lilly was confused. She couldn’t understand why the boy wasn’t talking. She understood when he motioned ‘sorta’ but, at first, she was confused by what he meant by that. How could he be sorta a Tortodile? Then she remembered that Lexi was two different species of Pokémon. She didn’t understand how it worked, but she knew it existed. She decided that that must be the case for him as well. She had no idea what his other half was though. When he wrote his name, Lilly drew a blank. She could read a few words, but not that many. The boy’s name seemed completely foreign to her.

The newcomer’s silence managed to put Honey more at ease. While at first she hoped he was just there to stop them, she was now intrigued by this silent Pokémon. Unlike Lilly, who had no idea what the boy was writing, Honey could read pretty well. Knowing that her friend wasn’t that skilled at reading, she whispered his name to her.

“Hello Aggro!” Lilly exclaimed with a smile.

Honey, also smiling, waved.

Lilly carefully analyzed the drawing, trying to figure out what Aggro was trying to say. Honey was much quicker though, nodding her head, she answered, “Yes, we are looking for a cave. Lilly wants to go explore one.” It was obvious in her tone that she wasn’t looking forward to the prospect.

Hearing Honey’s answer, Lilly suddenly burst out, “Oh! It’s a cave. Yeah we are looking for a cave to explore! The map said there was a bunch around here. Do you know any good ones?”

The reptilian face of Aggro fell, not just because his fears of them wanting to go into a cave were true, but because his artistic skills were apparently not good enough for the girls to discern his image. He sighed and looked at his drawing on the ground for a moment before swiping across it in disgust. Looking back at the two he shook his head. He was determined to not have them go looking for trouble and get hurt. Standing and straightening himself up, he cleared his throat. He looked very serious all of a sudden. Opening his mouth, he took in a breath and was about to release in when a loud, echoing roar interrupted him. Anyone that could understand Pokemon would be able to hear a rather feminine voice yelling out, "Aggro, where are you?!"

The Tototar looked up to the sky and groaned, he hadn't realized that his little break had already been over and done with. He didn't even get to finish his snack! With another sigh, he looked to the girls, pointing to the mountain forcefully. He then shook his head vigorously. Then he pointed away from the mountains and nodded his head. And with that little bit of communication, he groaned and stomped off towards the direction of the roar. At this point he wasn't even paying attention to if the girls were following him or not... though he hoped they wouldn't.

Lilly was confused. She couldn’t understand why he had wiped away his drawing? Had they guessed wrong? She tried to think out his other actions, the forceful pointing and then the shaking of his head, followed by more pointing and nodding. She came to the conclusion that he was trying to encourage them onward. He wanted them to go to the mountains, not away from them, yes? She would of followed his advice, but she suddenly found herself more intrigued with where he was headed.

Honey felt bad as seeing the boy’s disappointment. Maybe she had guessed wrong? His next actions though, seemed crystal clear. He was telling them not to go to the mountains, to head elsewhere; he must have been concerned for their safety. She couldn’t help but think that was sweet of him. She worried though that it wouldn’t be enough to change Lilly’s mind. She knew she hadn’t been able to. Maybe if something was able to distract her? She was sure that the boy’s insistence must mean it was very dangerous.

“Let’s see where he is going!” Lilly exclaimed, that one statement causing relief to flood over Honey. Without waiting for Honey to reply, Lilly was off. Honey happily followed, sure that wherever the boy was heading, had to be safer then the caves.

Aggro neared the mountain, in specific, the cave his parents were currently working in. His mother, a large Tyranitar, was standing outside and when he neared, the two girls in tow, she cocked her head to the side. "Aggro, dear, who're your friends?"

He turned quickly, a look of shock taking the color from his face. Why'd they follow him? How was him shaking his head when he pointed at the mountain misunderstood as "go closer to it?" He groaned and palmed his face with a hand. He could already tell that this day was not going to get any better.

The Tyranitar rushed passed him, a smile on her face, "Well, hello, and who might you two be?" Despite her stature, she gave off a genuinely kind and motherly air.

Honey’s eyed widened as she saw the Tyranitar. At least to the Combee, she was scary looking. She couldn’t help but wonder if they had chose poorly; if maybe the caves might have been safer. Lilly, on the other hand, was excited. First she had met Aggro, another Pokémon humanoid like herself, and now she got to meet this great big Pokémon. “Hello!” she happily exclaimed, “I am Lilly!” Gesturing behind her, she added, “That is Honey.”

“Hello,” Honey sheepishly added.

“How do you know Aggro,” Lilly asked, “are you related to him? We were going to explore a cave, but we met him instead!”

"Why aren't you two just the cutest!" the Tyranitar cooed like a woman seeing an adorable baby. She leaned down to get a better look, smiling as she did so. "Well, I am Aggro's mother," she chuckled. When Lilly mentioned going exploring, the smile fell a bit. "Oh my, I do apologize, sweeties, but those caves an' mines are no place to play."

Aggro kept his back to the group of three, his hand still on his face as his mother swooned over the two young girls. When she'd mentioned that the mines and caves were no place to play, a smile came over his face and he breathed a sigh of relief.

"But tell you girls what, Aggro will stay out here an' keep you company. Alright?" She stood back up to her full height and tromped over to her son, ruffling his hair. Aggro's smile vanished. "I've got to go back and work, you be nice to them, okay?" Aggro groaned and nodded. "Good boy." She bent down and gave him a kiss on the head before heading back into the mine.

The Tototar turned to face the girls, not much expression on his face. Shrugging, unsure what to do, he held his hands out, palms up, as if to say, "Well, what do you want to do?"

Honey couldn’t help but blush at the Tyranitar’s comment. She certainly seemed nice and, once she realized she was the boy’s mother, she couldn’t believe that she had been a bit scared of her. When she told the two of them that it the mines and caves weren’t a safe place to play, she was absolutely elated. At that moment, in Honey’s mind, the Tyranitar was amazing, finally a grown up to tell them not to go. She just hoped Lilly would listen. “It is a pleasure to meet you,” Honey added, with a smile.

“Thank you!” Lilly replied at the comment that they were cute. Lilly knew they were, but, still, it was always nice to hear. “But, but, we can take care of ourselves,” Lilly pleaded, “We go on adventures all the time! Like the time we explored those haunted ruins… We found an ancient crown!” She failed to mention that it had ended with them running in terror from a Ghost type, only to be saved by Sasha and Alexis, but the Tyranitar didn’t need to know that. At least she would be able to play with this new friend and, well, he seemed to know the mines…. Maybe she could convince him to take her!

“Bye Aggro’s Mom!” Honey called out as the Tyranitar headed back to the mine.

“Bye!” Lilly added, before turning to Aggro and saying, “So how about you show us some mines! That would be fun!”

“Lilly!” Honey exclaimed, before Aggro has a chance to reply, “But his mom said we can’t. It’s not safe!” The words of the Tyranitar had bolstered her resolve in changing Lilly’s mind.

“Well, if he doesn’t think he could handle showing us the mine…..” Lilly trailed off, a grin on her face.

Shaking her head, Honey turned to Aggro and said, “Want to show us around, like the um, non-mine areas?”

A flat, unamused look was Aggro's reply to Lilly's goading. He wasn't about to fall for it. And not matter how much she bothered him, he'd stand firm, just like the Rock-type he was. He was more than a little relieved to hear that Honey was not quite so careless. He sighed, supposing if he needed to, he could drag the girl away. But, for now, he motioned away from the mines with a wide sweep of his arm. He gave Lilly a very stern look, not trying to be mean, but trying to get her away from the places that would likely cause them harm.

Waiting for the girls to start moving, Aggro followed close behind. He wasn't entirely sure where to head to, so he pointed to the tree he'd been resting under earlier. Might as well start there. He just had to make sure that where ever they chose to go from there, it wasn't a mine or a cave.
PostPosted: Sun May 06, 2012 1:39 am
At Aggro’s look, Lilly couldn’t help but answering with a huff. Why wouldn’t he take them to the mines? So what if they were dangerous! A little bit of danger was fun. Life would be boring without danger. She had come here to explore a mine or a cave, or well, anything like that. Before the day was over, she would at least get a peek inside of one! She was determined!

Honey couldn’t help but giggle at Aggro’s look. She couldn’t help but be relieved that he was being firm in keeping them away from the mines. She didn’t believe that Lilly had given up on going, but at least it would be harder for her to lead them into peril, this time.

Without having any idea where they were going, the two girls started walking. When Aggro pointed it out, they started heading to the tree.

A tree? But I can see a tree anywhere! Lilly liked trees, she was a Grass Type after all, but she did fail to see the excitement in heading towards this specific tree. “Oh, nice, a tree.” Her lack of excitement was quite evident in the tone of her voice. After a moment’s thought, though, she added, “Maybe we could climb up it and play on the branches! What do you think Aggro?” She wasn’t really sure where she was headed with this, but, maybe if she showed how she could make even this tree dangerous, he would relent and show them the mines. It wasn’t the best plan, but, at the moment, she was grasping at straws.

“It’s a nice tree,” Honey stated with a smile. She actually meant what she said. She could imagine sitting under it and reading, or sitting under it with some crayons and paper, or maybe napping. It would be quite nice. Skipping ahead, she went to get a better look at it.

A relieved sigh came from Aggro as Honey skipped towards the tree. He wasn't minding this girl... but the other one... He wondered if it'd be okay if he just ignored her the rest of the day. An amused giggled escaped him as he thought about it. That'd probably make her so mad. Judging by her behavior, he figured that she probably got her way a lot. Well, that wasn't going to happen on his watch!

Arriving at the tree, he plopped himself down and pulled out a rock. He rolled it over in his hands, taking note of the shape and color patterns. After a few silent moments, he began nibbling on it in specific areas, seemingly carving something.
