Background: A brave young man trained well in the art of the blade. Abandoned by his grief stricken father after his mother was killed by his uncle. Why this occured Van is not sure but eventually he slayed his uncle in one on one combat. After that he roamed the world as a blade for hire. He earned a good living but it was an empty existence. Then he found the DWMA! and joined along with his partner Suki Irihama. Together they plan to form a weapon worthy of the Gods!

Partner: Suki Irihama

Abilities: Well trained in the art of the Samurai. Van possess the ability to compress his soul wave length into a beam of energy allowing him to use his soul as a sword. He can also force him soul wave length along Suki and increase her power. This takes massive amount of concentration and energy however so he only relies on this technique in a pinch.

Likes: Order, Food and Suki

Dislikes: Chaos, Being Hungry, People who are rude.

Personality: Van is quiet, never speaking unless he needs to. He prefers to let his actions do the talking. Althoug he had a soft spot when it comes to Suki and she's the only one who can make him smile or laugh.

Background: Suki was very young when she met Van. She was in the possession of an evil bandit that was terrorizing a small village near Tokyo. Van slew the bandit and took Suki with him on his travels. She became his first and so far only friend as well as his weapon. Together they save many people and now as students at the DWMA they hope to save many more!

Abilities: Suki has two forms. The first is a Katana which possesses the ability to produce duplicates of itself when swung. This makes the strikes much harder to avoid. The second form is a spear that can grow and shrink at the Meister's will. It does have a limit of 30 feet though and does become difficult to handle at that length.

Likes: Ice Cream,The Moon and Van

Dislikes: Heat, The dark and spiders

Personality: Rather loud and out there. Suki is not afraid to let her opinion be heard! Which often lands her in hot water. Lucky for her Van is always there to fish her out. She has a strong sense of loyalty to Van and looks to him as a big brother of sorts.
