The grass rustled as motion from a being within in disrupted the peace. Glittering orbs of iridescent light were left to hang in the air as the being moved along, staying just long enough to be seen before dying out, nothing to sustain it.

The being to whom these belonged was none other than a small moon bunny, a female by the name of Neone, simply searching for a friend to play with. Her lightly colored eyes shimmered as she smiled, spotting the friend she was searching for.

"Julia!" She scurried across the grass, past small forming beings and yet-to-grow young ones. "Hi!" Her fluffy tail waged as she smiled brightly, nosing her friend's cheek. "I wanna play, yeah!"

"Oh! Anything, yeah!" Her tail wiggled again, floppy ears twitching. "Oh, maybe we could go and see if others want to play, yeah!?" She was moving right then, circling her friend with the iridescent light orbs that radiated from her form as she hurried along.

It had so happened that Ness had been out in a field practicing her gymnastics. Sure.. there were a lot of times she could be found indoors or out practicing dancing. However, she was also often found working on acrobatics and the like. She always wanted to be limber and flexible. This stemmed from a deep inner belief that you could win other's affections and worthwhile esteem through selling herself. She didn't of course sell herself for money or things. However, the way in which she sometimes put on shows in order to impress others. It was still a form of breaking the ice.

She was frolicing around building up good runs to pounce, jump, flip, and spin. She had been doing all of this for a while, but even in the adrenaline from doing all those things. She did feel that edge of loneliness. What fun was it to practice all the time if she wasn't ever doing it in front of anyone?

Then, the flicker of two passing by caught her eye. She held her head back to see if she could see them. Who was that? What were they doing? Well... she let her nose be her guide following after them.

Neone squeaked in surprise, paws settling in the grass before having propelled her forward, through the grass, a rainbow of small and large orbs in her wake. "Hi hi yeah!" She giggled and rolled around, tripping on an ear before falling onto her friend. "Oopsies! Sorry Julia, yeah!" The rabbit got up, and offered a paw to the female cat.

Ness paused a moment in the grass. She watched the others as she continued towards them. She saw them tumbling and falling in the grass. Oh, were they practicing their flips and jumps too? Awesome! So hard to find others who wanna do cartwheels and somersaults. Her eyes almost sparkled in the light of a setting sun. It'd be twilight soon.. then nightfall. Best time of day to play she thought.

Then, as she moved up closer; she did a few run and flips. Then, she hopped up on her front paws and started to walk towards them with her hind feet in the air. Only... in this tall grass, it was like her face became hidden; though you could see the edges of her wings peeking out above the grass.

Volcanica had been feeling somewhat out of sorts lately. She just couldn't seem to find anyone with whom she was compatible. She wanted to explore the star forest, but all those around her wanted to do was frolick in the green, grassy fields, or hang around town. So she decided she would strike out on her own instead this day.

Leaving the comfort of her home, she headed off down the lane towards the forest. She would have to cross a large field to get there, and she hoped that maybe, just maybe she would run into some like-minded friends who would join her. As she neared the field, she wasn't disappointed. She could hear and see at least three others bouncing, and jumping, and pretty much fooling around in the tall grass. One was obviously a moon bunny, but the other two were star cats like herself. She hadn't had much interaction with moon bunnies, so this might be interesting. She judged the distance to be short enough that she should be able to wing it to them.

She spread her wings and took to the air. She covered the distance in what seemed like a heartbeat and landed quite close to them. "Greetings friends," she said, "Anyone up for an adventure?"

The female he saw poke her head up was covered in a multitude of colors, and her wings looked like a rainbow. She didn't think they had ever met before around the farm, but her agreeable response was just what Nica wanted to hear.

"Great! Do you think your friends would like to join us? I'm headed into the star forest to see what interesting things I can find."

"That would be great! Oh, and you can call me Nica. It's short for my full name, Volcanica, but Nica is so much easier to say. I suppose I can wait while you check with those others."

She supposed that adventuring with others, as opposed to by herself, would be much more fun in the end, so it was worth the wait, to see if anyone else would join them. She'd never ventured into the star forest before, so she was sort of glad to have others with her. Not that she would ever admit to being afraid! She liked to put on the front that she was the brave one, and not afraid of anything. Not that there had really been anything for her to be afraid of yet. She'd led a pretty sheltered life up to this point, but now she was ready to strike out on her own, and experience the unknown.
