Fin'lay had wandered back to the pride at around the same time she had left. The sun was out and shining brightly above, her three newborn cubs walking under her feet and beside her. She could feel that they were excited to be going home, even though the pride was new and unknown to them. When they finally made it into the pride she played happily with two of her cubs, Mahon and Finnabarr while her daughter Deheune slept in her den of the cave. After a short time the other two cubs got tuckered out and she took them into the den as well where they all slept until night fall. When Fin'lay woke up and was getting ready to head out into the pride to bring news that she had returned and that she had cubs with her, Mahon stirred and of course wanted to come with her. "Alright, you can come too." She said to her only boy as she led him out of the den and eventually out of the caves, all the while making sure to leave a trail for the two cubs still left inside just in case they should wake up and want to find her. When Fin'lay and Mahon finally reached the enterance to the caves she stopped and looked around, Mahon of course taking in the sights of the pride at night. Well, their daytime. "Stay hidden for now." Fin'lay said softly to her cub as she hid him behind her back legs and under her tail. Thankfully the small cub listened.

Kumo now a fully fledged adult, stood proud. He was able to fulfill what he said he would. However a scent caught his nose, a scent he knew very well. He was quite pleased to have it cross his nose; but there was something different. Something unknown, an intruder? How did that get past him. He clamly stoically made his was toward the unknown scent. He grew increasingly worried that he smelt Fin'lays scent intertwined with it. The female he was finally ready to admit his feelings for, the female he wanted to be with. As he made it past the clearing he saw her in all of her mystical beauty. Pleased to see she was unharmed, he stood tall and proud showing off how much he grew as he walked toward her. "Merry Meet, Fin'lay" He said with a smile, finally he could tell her his feelings.

Upon seeing the green and black male Fin'lay's eyes could only widen. Was that Kumonryu? No, that was impossible when she left he was only but a adolescent. However, she realized as he approached that it was possible as she had been gone for several months. His scent was also forever imprinted in her mind, there was no way she could deny that it was him, the lion she loved. When he made his way closer and greeted her she smiled and had to keep herself from showing to much excitement. "Merry meet Kumonryu. It appears you have grown up quite a bit in my absense." She said with a smile. It was then that the small cub that had been hidden behind her poked his small head out and looked at the male as if he was sizing him up.
"Who is this?" Mahon asked as he looked up at his mother though still remaining behind her.
"This is Kumonryu. He is a friend." Fin'lay replied as she looked from Mahon to Kumo. "Kumonryu, this is Mahon." She said with a soft smile, showing only to him that there was a slight unease to her.

Kumo smiled, "Indeed i have grown up very much." he said with much pride. Now that he was older he felt like he could finally tell her how he felt, "I have....." However he was interupted by another voice. He looked around briefly until he say where the origin of the voice came from. His eyes widen with shock. Was is.... no it could be.... a cub..... Kumo could just stay, "What is that?" He said not believing his own eye, she didnt. His head began to spin. Inside he felt like a cub who just saw his brother take his crush but much worse. How was that possible, thoughts filled his mind. When? Who? Where? But he never told her own he felt... Wait did that mean the male was in the pride. His mate had just been stolen from him. He wanted to sulk in self-pity but, then again, he never told her how he felt.... "Is Mahon....." he gulped,"is he yours." He could feel his heartbeat in his head.

Fin'lay couldn't see the hurt behind Kumo's words, so she only smiled and nodded. "He is. I've brought two other cubs with me as well, they are also mine." And then she frowned, a clear hurt and sad look crossing her expression for a moment. "I had six cubs while I was away... I tracked down their father in the Chokwe pride and three of them wished to stay with him." And then the smile returned. "The other three wanted to come with me." She said, turning her head and purring to her son as she brushed him with her tail. When she looked back a Kumo she frowned once more. "I'm getting a bit ahead of myself." She said with a sigh. Her heart despite everything, still longed for Kumo. And because of this she felt the need to tell him everything that happened. "Mahon why don't you go over there and look at the markings on the tree's?" She asked of her son, knowing he would comply without a reason as to why.
"Yes m'a." Mahon replied. Before leaving he walked closer to Kumo and growled. "Dun y'be mess'in with my m'a laddy." He said before scampering off to the tree's.
Despite not approving of his manner towards Kumo, she could only laugh. "Mahon is very protective of everyone. He means well." She said, turning her attention once more to Kumo. "Now that he is gone I can tell you everything." She said, slightly uneasy. "While I was out surveying the rogue lands I happened upon a male, Viktor who" Fin'lay paused. She realized she was still sugar coating the story but she couldn't help it. Kumo was still the young one she remembered despite his coming into adulthood. Though, that still did not detur her feelings for him. "Who I ended up spending a couple nights with." "Neither one of us planned for the outcome to be..." Fin'lay said, nodding to her son who was circling the tree. "Well, what it was." She admitted. Then a smile came to her maw as she continued to look at her carefree son. "But I can't say I regret it either."

Kumo's stared toward the cub, eyes still wide. It's not possible... He simply started in awe. When she began to speak all Kumo could do was stare past her; in a trace like state. He could see her mouth moving but all he heard was the cubs voice; and every now and then a few words. Words that sunk in his core, words that; whether he would admit it or not was slowly tearing him about on the inside... Chokwe, Victor, six cubs, three here. "You had cubs....six cubs...." he said still staring in what seemed to be nothing but his gaze seemed as if he was looking past at her. His tone was calm, and a slow smirk began to quiver at the side of his mouth. The almost out of no where he began to laugh hysterically. Of course this would happen, he falls in love and she...she has cubs. With someone from his old pride, a pride in which he was banished. He didnt understand why he was laughing, he really wanted to cry.

Fin'lay tilted her head to one side, finally noticed that Kumo seemed to be looking past her. Or maybe even through her. "Yes. Three boys and three girls." She softly smiled once more. Then she noticed a small smile begin at the ends of his mouth. And then she heard his laughter. Was something she had said funny? Or was he laughing at Mahon for his earlier comment? She hoped it wasn't the latter. As much as she loved Kumonryu, her cubs meant more to her then a one sided romance. Deciding it was probably better to ask then assume she willed Kumo to look at her. "What are you laughing about?" Fin'lay asked, slightly unsure of what was going on in his head. Maybe he was laughing due to shock or surprise? She concluded. That seemed more likely.

Kumo laughed for a little but that slowly faded into something more serious, even more then his usual deminer. "The Chokwe was my old pride...." He finally said, "...the pride i was banished from." He didnt know what else to say to her. His heart was broken, just like it was before. "Its the pride i was born in, the pride where my family is...." He looked at her, his expression was bland, but his eyes were filled with sarow and loss. "Here i waited all this time for you to return so i could tell you that...that...." He paused, the laughed a little more, Why didnt i tell her sooner? Wondering if it really mattered anymore. "Well i wanted to tell you that i loved you...." He looked down. Perhaps he should get pack to his patrol duty. "I'm sure there very lovely, like there mother, Sgiach." His heart hurt when he didnt use her name. But she found someone...somebody to love.

When Kumo admitted that the Chokwe was his past pride, Fin'lay instantly lost all emotional expression. She blinkled blankly at him as she looked at her. She could see the hurt finally in his eyes. "I never knew." Fin'lay replied in a hushed tone. And then his next words made her close her eyes as her breath caught in her chest. "W-What?" Fin'lay said in a choked voice. Her mind spun with those last three words. When she finally opened her eyes, tears were visible. "You.... You..... You..... loved me?" She asked, still not fully able to process what she was hearing. There was a mix of joy and sadness filling her heart. He had loved her. But no longer. And then the final wave of hurt hit her. He did not call her Fin'lay, as he had before she left. Instead, he called her Sgiach. Fin'lay turned her head slightly, in the opposite direction of where Mahon was as a tear managed to break through. "They were lovely." She said, her voice filled with tears.

"It's okay, i never told you....I never told you a lot of things i should have...." he actually wanted to cry he could feel it filling up inside of him. He looked up finally to see that she was crying...but why... was it... because of him? "Don't cry." He said steping close and wraping his paw around her holding her close. "If you cry, then i wont be able to stop myself." He said. "And they ARE lovely, just like there mother." He just held her, holding his tears back. He was an adlt, they dont cry. He used his paw to wipe her tears. "The funny thing is, even with cubs, and a even though you dont feel the same... i cant help but still love you." Perhaps it would be best to leave the pride, and start over, again.

As tears still fell from her eyes she looked at Kumonryu who had now approached her and wrapped his paw around her. After she had just hurt him, he was still putting her first. Comforting her. Her crying only seemed to worsen. "I love you Kumo." She said in a shaky voice that was low enough for only him to hear. "I'm so sorry I've hurt you." Fin'lay said as she closed her eyes and burried herself in his mane. "I'm so sorry." She repeated over and over. Had she have known he had loved her she would have never spent the night with that male. No matter how hard he was to resist. Fin'lay wished at that moment that she could turn back time and had been strong enough to invite him on the journey with her. Maybe everything would have been different. Maybe... Maybe her cubs would have been his instead of Viktor's. No. No matter how much she loved Kumo her cubs were still everything. While he was the sun, they were her air. "I'm so sorry." She said once more.

He paused, she loved him.... His heart felt a tug, there was still hope..... But even if he wanted it, did she... Could it still work.... "You have nothing to be sorry for Fin'lay, you didnt know, and i cant blame you. I just thought you should know the truth." He licked her cheek. Kumo smiled remembering his mother, even though they never got along well he remembers the stories her and Nyota would tell. "I remember my mother, she used to tell me love will find you in strange, unpredictable ways, but its to test you and see if the love is true. Which leaves me one question for you." He looked into her golden eyes, "I still love you. I can be the father your cubs need, but so long as i have you i will be happy. So now its your choice....." He paused, hoping, his mother was right, hoping it was true....

When she heard Kumo speaking once more she lifted her head and felt him lick her cheek. Tears still flowed from her eyes but she had calmed for the most part, a slight sniffling still remaining. "Why didn't you ever tell me?" Fin'lay asked. And then she listened to him retell what his mother would say to him. That made her smile a bit. "You're mother's right. I fell in love with an adolescent who had his whole life ahead of him." She said, a couple more tears rolling down her cheeks. As they looked into each other's eyes she felt as though she could melt. He loved her. And she loved him. The truth had finally come out but where did that leave them? She had cubs, one's that needed her. Then he asked his question. He still had his whole life ahead of him. She knew he had goals that he wanted to achieve in his life. But could he still do all of those things and still be a father to her cubs? Be her mate even? Fin'lay wanted to selfishly say that he could. But she wasn't so sure. She wasn't to much older then him, but he seemed so young. "Kumo..." She said, looking at him. "I love you. I don't think that could ever change." She paused. "You have dreams... Of what you want to be..." Fin'lay paused once more, trying to find the words. She sighed. She couldn't tell him no. Because she wanted him to be all the things he was asking her to allow him to be. Fin'lay looked down at her paws for a moment, thinking. When she looked back up her gold eyes met his purple one's. "If I told you I didn't want you it would be a lie. And you would be a great father." She smiled softly. "But I need you to realize that this is your decision. You have always had big dreams of what you wanted to become. I don't want you trade them for anything." She said, letting her words sink in. Fin'lay smiled a bit more. "There is no one else I would rather have then you. But I don't want to hold you back from being all that you can be."

Kumo looked at her and smiled, all he heard was she wanted to be with him too after that it didnt matter. "I do have dreams... and since i came to this pride, my dreams began to involve you, and i want to make my dreams come true." He said nuzzling into her. She loved him and he loved her, that was all that mattered; thats all he needed.
