Amityville held a populous of some very fashionable boils. It seemed as though Pepin could really take more fashion tips from them than any ghoul she'd met. Besides Xiu, of course. Maybe it was a boil trait to just have that natural magnetism to good things. Maybe. Of course there were ghouls she wanted to snatch the clothes right off of.. but that is an entirely different matter.
Wondering if she was still good for time, she checked her clock and panicked internally. The trials of war would be starting in a whole 24 hours from now and she'd only interviewed a small handful of students. She proposed to herself that maybe she needed to get more members of the Post involved and started to etch down a notice she would post around the room so that when they returned from the second trials there would be even more students covering the basis of Amityville.
And all this time she never even thought to interview herself.

Calder had bumped into Pepin while dodging some interviewers and as conversations went, was asked to stop by. Calder, who was looking for things to do and hiding places, had decided to take her up on the offer. He really didn't talk to the ghoul, hadn't had many chances really with how the school was these days, and decided that, if anything, it would be nice to have a chat with someone he never really talked to before.
It took some wandering about before his hooves stopped outside the door, and with a tentative knock, Calder opened it and poked his head inside. "Hello? Is this the right place?"

Pepin had been taking a small break and was busy rummaging through some files in the Paranormal Post room when Calder knocked. The ghoul poked her head up out of the filing cabinet then proceeded to float backwards out of it and head to the cracked door. "Hello there~" Pepin chimed pleasantly then directed herself towards the kelpie.
"You are here for..." Pepin looked at her palm. Nothing there... but Calder didn't have to know. "The TRIALS interview, that's right! Here, come with me-" she lead the boil to a table close to the door outside. "Tell me tell me tell me- wait... before we start..."
Pepin had noticed the pony's beautiful locks in the hallway light and just HAD to reach out to touch them. "M.. may I?" *w*"

Siting down in the offered chair, Calder folded his hands in his lap, looking around. The office looked so official, what with it's filing cabinets, papers, and pinned upped notices. There were faint aromas of papers, inks, and other chemicals he couldn't really pinpoint, but it all gave an air of professionalism. To think the Paranormal post was run by students was fascinating.
Just as this was getting to business, he paused when Pepin reached out. He wondered what she was grabbing for, when her strange fingertips directed to his head.
"May you....???" He repeated, and watched her hand just reach to his now-short hair. "OH!" Petting and hair touching was a common animal way of communicating, and he certainly missed it here at this school. It was strange for anyone to ask. Leaning in, he tilted his head down for her to touch, looking up. "I'm not normally asked. Everyone seems so....closed off here." Coming from a family where nudging, nipping, and nuzzling were all everyday practices, to have no one interact physically with each other was just strange, especially with the boils. Sometimes he caught the ghouls hugging or playing with one another's hair, but that was it.
Calder's hair, if touched, was silky smooth with a coolness, easily slipping through the fingers with ease like water. It felt damp, despite being dry.

"Hooooooooowwwwwww D8" Pepin wailed softly when her blacked out fingers faded through the kelpie's locks. "How could anyoooone not wanna ask to touch your so fantastic marvelous-- ffft..." The ghoul was tickled at how pleasant it was, just like a horse's mane. Except really.
It took a good long petting session before Pepin dreamily sat back again and cupped her hands together on the table. "....oh right RIGHT-" A light bulb in the back of the room literally burst out brightly and Pepin leaned forwards smiling.
"Well as you are aware this is the Paranormal Post room, do you like it?" she giggled. MAN it was really hard to stay on topic with the boil. They had a bit of a spark! "Oh right the trials, right. So... you're on that team with Christof aren't you?" she asked.

It was nice. So nice. Despite Pepin's hands being bizarre in it's own way, they didn't snag or tear at his hair, and the soft brush of fingers on his scalp and ears soon had his head lowering down on his arms that he placed on the tabletop as a makeshift pillow, and his eyelids lowered as he let her continue to her heart's content. The fact she was surprised that no one else touched his hair came with a nod in return. "I know! I thought everyone thought it was TOO pretty. In the BAD way." He still didn't lift his head, relaxed and at ease after such a nice petting.
His eyes did drift about the room. "It's very nice here. Very...official. We don't have newspapers or much books where I live. Paper and water - not good things. It smells interesting." Like the way his textbooks smelled.
"Oh, yeah. Christof is our team leader. It's Christof, Barth, Lizzy, Amrita, and me. We all pretty much know each other some way or another so we all joined in a group."
