I guess, I will kick this off. An acquaintance, who is new to Christianity, is going though a rough patch of life. Just last week he lost his home, all the things in it, his girlfriend, and child. I don't have much more information than that, as we don't talk much and that is the most I got from him on facebook.

Sounds like something directly out of the Book of Job...

I guess prayers of strength, endurance and faith that all things will come right when they need too is all that I can think of.

Is that my calling, to hear all this bad stuff?

I ask for prayers for my niece. I just learned she is in the hospital, but no one is telling me why.

Update: I now know why, She was pregnant, was being the key word. The baby was born only 16 weeks. It didn't make it... sad

I never knew she was even pregnant.

Well, all children go straight to heaven. See you there, little one.

am I the only one that hears troubles and asks for peace? or am I the only one that posts and asks others to pray also? eh

Well, I ask for prayers for Elta, and her safety to and around Ohio. And that she and her family find joy in what they taste and see.

I ask for peace for a friend, who is going to though a has a rough life. And needs to know the presence of God is with her...

And I would also pray for thanks, to God for seeing me though another quarter. And helping me get 3 A's! I have one more quarter, and at the current pace I will graduate with Honors!!!!

I ask that you pray for a friend of mine who just went to the doctor's and found out that his kidneys might be failing. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for that SCN heart

And no, you are not the only one who hears troubles and prays for peace. Although, I don't normally post many problems I hear about online, but sometimes I feel the need to...

I will pray for your friend, and that she finds peace and realizes strength through her struggles...

And I will continue to pray for you, your grades, your family, and your friends.

I will also pray for Rob's friend.

Please keep one of my coworkers in your thoughts and prayers. Her crazy-a** boyfriend came to work last night and punched her in the face for not answering his phone call to her. Police are already involved and she's staying a friend's house.

I'll punch him in the face... Jerk-wad stare

I will definitely keep her in prayers. It seems when women go through these type of relationships, there is so much invisible damage done that people don't even realize. Even when this kind of thing happens to strong women who aren't normally prey to these kind of things...

when anyone goes though this kind of relationship... Other than that agreed with Elta... Though, I say Elta and I, take rounds on the guy... I think after the tenth he would never touch a girl that way again...

She will be in my prayers

Yeah, you're right. Guys suffer too. I am just used to seeing girls get treated that way, but I should know better.

Most of the guys I know who are abused in their relationships suffer because women tend to be better at mental abuse.

Update: My friend found out from the doctor that his kidneys are looking better but he has to be on a low salt diet. I'm so glad to hear that things are improving for him. Thank you all for keeping him in your thoughts.
