The loud screech of the owl overhead called attention to the world. His blue feathers glinted in the sunlight as he circled around an area, sharp eyes looking about and locking on different species around the area. He beat his wings in hard strokes, the air around him shifting with the movement. Letting out another call, Marco dived, his wings tucking against his body. He broke through the top layer of trees, before unfurling his wings again, and landed carefully on a branch of a nearby tree, his eyes locked on the mare within the forest like area. Within their sanctuary. Within a few short moments, a large orange stallion broke through the brush as well, his ears perked up.

Conleth moved forward easily. He was big enough to just brush the bushes aside with a single leg. His long hair fell around him in slight waves, the feathers shifting in the light, resembling Marco's feathers easily. His eyes flickered, before locking on his mate. His somewhat serious expression shifted, softened. Though they went through a rather rough patch, he was glad that things had worked out. He was lost without her; pained. And rejoining the herd that Damian had formed had given Conleth some new scars. But those scars were well worth it when Pryalis had came and retrieved him; saved him like she had before. Moving forward slowly, he leaned and nuzzled the back of her neck with his nose, eyes closing.

"Good morning, Prya." Conleth whispered, his voice soft.

The sun was bright, the Earth was dry, and a soft breeze traveled through the trees. It was still early, so the temperature had yet to get hot enough to make the day uncomfortable. Pryalis was taking advantage of the cool weather, her long braided tail trailing through the undergrowth as she grazed. When the screech of the owl reached her ears she lifted her head quickly and looked to the sky, ears flicked forward as she searched the sky. The mare caught sight of the blue owl a moment before he landed and a slight smile curved over her mouth as Conleth appeared from the brush.

Prya nickered at the stallion as he moved closer, her tail twitching as she watched him. Good morning to yourself, Conleth." She replied before nosing his shoulder, tail swatting at a few flies that had landed on her. I was wondering when you would come, although it's easy to tell when you are about." Her words held a teasing ring to them as she looked up at Marco, ears flicking forward as she watched the blue bird. She felt a kind of kinship with the winged creatures, her own wings pressed against her sides. After a moment her gaze went back to Conleth, waiting to hear any news he had.

She was a sight to behold. An apple in his eye. The love of his life. Pryalis was everything to him. Everything he wanted and would ever want. She was sheer perfection. And she was all his. The smile eased onto his face without him even noticing. And when she spoke, it almost made his heart flutter with joy. The press to his shoulder made his smile just grow a little more, before he leaned and nosed between her ears. He was taller than her, but quite a bit, but that was beside the point. She was perfect for him, and with her own skill in fighting, Conleth knew that she could take care of herself even if they were to be separated. Which just made her all the better.

"Yes. Marco tends to be quicker than even my fastest gallop." He commented with a slight laugh, eyes closing briefly. When he opened them again, he took a slight step back, and lowered his head to press his nose lightly against Pryalis' before lifting it once more, and shook out his medium length mane, let his small tail flick a few times, before his face grew somewhat grave, and he stared at her with his turquoise eyes. "So far, Damian's herd seems to be staying where it once was before. I have yet to see him wandering close to our current home. So we should be safe." He stated, nodding his head some.

The mare shook her head as she eyed her companion, no her mate, it was difficult for her to adjust to calling him that once more. Of course it had been her fault that they had gone their separate ways before, the stress from leaving the herd and having Damian against them had been hard on her, however try as she might she had been unable to keep from returning to his side. Conleth was the perfect stallion in her mind, strong, handsome, and a wonderful sparring partner. When she had met him, in Damian's herd it was almost like no other had existed after that. Even now she felt that love she'd had for him then, the distance she had put between them closing slowly.

At the mention of her former herd master her ears flicked back and her eyes narrowed slightly. "As long as they don't wander, we can't be sure that he wouldn't some how come across us. I don't think we should stay in any area so close to them, I am not afraid to fight but their are more with him than with us." She stated with a shake of her own head, her short mane barely moving from it's position. "The main reason I have not asked us to move quite yet is because with Marco about it seems no one can sneak up on us, but I don't want to chance it."

Conleth let out a slight sigh, his eyes flickering. He looked over his shoulder, staring toward the area not too far away from where they were, toward the break in the trees. His eyes looked for any sort of movement, before he flicked an ear toward the sound of his mate. He had remembered the day when she informed him that they had to go their separate ways. And though he fought against her not to allow it to be so, at the same time, he was never one that was good at that sort of fighting. Talking about feelings and what to do with them wasn't his strong point. He could take a punch, and dish it out too. But the hit from an emotional strain like that... it just destroyed him. He shook his head, clearing the thought from his mind, and let his attention go back to Pryalis.

The stallion leaned, nosing her temple lightly, before lipping at her hair. His head lowered some to stare toward her eyes, his own bright blue ones confident and strong. "I will not let anyone come near you. I won't let him harm you. You're protected, Pryalis. Forever. So don't fret too much, alright?" He stated, a small smile flickering over his face, before he lifted his head, and nosed her forehead again. He looked around. Perhaps she was right though. They were safe thus far, but who knew how long that would last... Marco was a good alarm though. The only time he slept was when both Conleth and Pryalis were together. His eyes flickered up, locking on the blue owl, who had his head tucked under his wing, already snoozing away the hours that the couple would be together.
