A surprisingly good-natured and agreeable fellow, Kennard is always happy to stand around and chat with his fellow executioners, guards and basically anyone that happens to be within speaking range. He even seems to have no issue with the other faction members. As far as he’s concerned, there’s no need for violence… until it is ordered.
“As ordered… it’s off with your head.” - Dutiful
Kennard is always quick to do as he’s ordered. With no complaints he gets to work and a long, busy day leaves him satisfied, knowing he’s done as required. This, he often remarks, is his reason to exist, and he quite pleased with it. He is extremely loyal to his faction and is the first to volunteer for any extra curricular activities, no matter what they might be. Emotions are not allowed to get in the way, and with a cheerful smile on his face, he does his duty. This blind obedience has held well so far, but it is not as unconditional as he would like… it would take something quite momentous for him to break rank.

Kennard tends to fall in love more than most. Though in truth it is a terribly superficial thing and he is more in love with the idea of love then any actual person. He is keen to give flowers, write poetry and generally walk around starry eyed… until he either finds somebody else or can’t think of any words to rhyme with your name anymore. To make things easier, Kennard will often ‘fall in love’ with someone he’s about to execute. His proclamations of love, however, will not stop him from swinging the axe.

Kennard might be likely to tut and say ‘such a pity’ in a hollow attempt to sympathise with you, but in truth, the bear feels no sense of remorse as he brings down the axe. This is his job, his duty. He does as he is told, and should he feel bad about it? No. While he feels no joy as he goes to his work, but also feels no regret. It’s your own fault you’re losing you head and he’s hardly going to disobey orders just because you seem to be a nice person.

He smiles, he laughs, he pats you on the back, he says he loves you… and yet there always seems to be something slightly off with Kennard’s reactions. Search a little deeper and you will find that Kennard is empty. Emotions skitter across the edges of his being but never sink deep. He doesn’t realise that he is simply not capable of feeling as strongly as anyone else and is quite content with himself as he is, but there is only sorrow in store for anyone who wants to grow closer to him.

Relationships You’ve met our protagonist. So what does he think of you? Malo: [Friend?] The first infant Kennard met, the bear finds him very fascinating. He wouldn’t mind hanging out with him again.
