All his life Adriel Colstan has been in and out of the hospital, spending more time there than in his home. At the age of Fourteen his immune system drastically weakened and he was sent to the hospital again, though this time he wasn't able to go home for a full three years.... His parents came to see him every day of course, but he had no idea about the other boy back at his home. A foster child that his parents had taken in, hoping that the two of them would get along well. Finally on the day of his release from the hospital the two of them met...but how will these two handle this new little predicament.

Name: Adriel Colstan Age: 17 Personality: Adriel is a sweet boy who was always cheering other patients up in the hospital. He's lived a very sheltered life and therefore he doesn't really understand the world outside of the hospital and his own home. He can be a bit... quiet, but he's far from shy. Despite the fact that he was always in the hospital he is a very intelligent boy who has always done his schooling at the hospital.

Name: Shatu Colstan
Age: 16
Personality: Shatu is a man who doesn't like to admitt when he's wrong, thus he becomes easily angered when people try to prove him wrong and displays himself as a hot-tempered man yet in reality he's actually very quite and shy but he uses his outer image to hide that. Shatu hates to be looked down upon because he's younger or being called a 'child', but he isn't violent...normally unless you upset him. He takes compliments all too well since he has such a low self-esteem but he tries to cover that fact as well by insulting his critic than accepting it. If anything he just wants to be accepted as a whole, including the bad and the good but doesn't believe such a creature exists in the world.

Adriel Colstan Adriel sat in the waiting room of the hospital with a nurse as his parents signed a few documents, before walking over to him, his mother smiling with tears in her eyes. Finally their little boy was coming home, after three long years of staying in intensive care in the hospital, he had managed to get through it and was going home! Without a word the couple led their son out of the hospital and into the car ' Now Adriel.....when you get home....well there is something that may come as a bit of a surprise...but please don't get mad at us' his father voiced from the front, leaving the silvery haired male rather...confused "Alright?" He replied in a rather soft voice, velvety and easy on the ears.
Bright blue eyes wandered to the window as he watched the house come into view, excitement twisting in his gut. "Home..." He whispered under his breath, his mother smiling widely in the front seat when she heard him speak, a few tears sliding from her eyes. When the car came to a stop Adriel was quick to get out, passing his parents as he entered the house and let his gaze wander. Nothing had changed, the smell, the decor, nothing.... and he now realized just how much he had missed this place he called home. No more medicine, or bland food...no more nurses and doctors checking up on him every half an hour.... He was finally going to live as a normal boy!

Shatu Colstan 'Now remember, Shatu, were going to be bringing your brother home today so we want you to be on your best behavior. I swear if you.... that was the last thing Shatu's mother said to him before bolting out the door with Mr. Colstan and rushing towards the brother to pick-up his older brother. Shatu barely knew the seventeen year old boy even though his Mr. and Mrs. Colstan spoke so fondly of him during thier time in the house and the times when they visited Adriel who looked like any other high school boy he went with to school. The two adults always seemed to dot on him, it was every single day! He was plain tired of it, eventually growing tired of his name and grew angry at him for always being the hot topic whenever he had to hang around the two, they sickened him.
At the time, Shatu was in his bedroom thinking of the man who would be living with him but everything seemed alright for the last three years when he wasn't in the picture. The sound of a squeak drawed his olive colored eyes to the window, there came out three people and all familiar to his eyes. He looked in disbelief at the white-haired man, Adriel for he knew he was coming but he just wished he didn't because now that he was home todays topic was going to be ALL about him!

Adriel Colstan Adriel watched as his parents walked inside, stopping in the door way. "......Shatu? Please come downstairs now and meet Adriel!" His father called, leaving Adriel even more confused. "Adriel...don't be mad. We just wanted to bring someone else into our home, your father and i took in Shatu only a little while after you were submitted to the hospital... He's your brother now" His mother cooed with a small smile.
Rather than getting mad Adriel felt rather, curious. He couldnt be mad at his parents, and having a brother might be nice! "How old is he?" He questioned, bright blue eyes fixed on his parents. "Sixteen, a year younger than you" His father responded. With that Adriel turned and started up the stairs "I'll introduce myself then" He decided, leaving his parents to worry in the door way. He figured his new brother would have been given the guest room as his own, so Adriel simply walked to the door and knocked lightly "Excuse me..... Shatu right? I...i'm Adriel" He called softly through the door, wondering if the male would actually come to talk to him.

Shatu Colstan He could clearly hear his father's call but he ignored it, it didn't matter what they would do to him they could not force him to meet any man he didn't want to see but he wasn't given that luxury as a stranger's voice came from behind his bedroom door. His voice was unexpectedly soft, almost feminme if he didn't already know that behind that door was his older 'brother'. Shatu narrowed his olive eye's towards the door, "Come in", his voice didn't held back the bitterness he felt at that moment and he didn't care about what this man thought of him for he was still a stranger in his eye's.
Who cared about making a good impression? Certainly not Shatu, it was very common for him to be off by himself in his inner world and didn't give a damn what other people thought of him, or thats what he liked to tell himself anyways. From the many fist fights he got into you could easily trace the source of the probelm, Judgement. Shatu just couldn't wait to grow-up to rid himself of the hellhole he was in and with an additional member it was just going to get worse from here on out.

Adriel Colstan Adriel stood there for a moment, instantly noting that Shatu' tone wasn't a.....friendly one, but he'd not let that get him down. With that he opened the door, letting his gaze wander until his bright blue eyes landed upon the brown haired male. He didn't move forward though, knowing that Shatu probably wanted his space. "I just wanted to introduce myself, sorry to be a bother" He chimed with a sweet smile, kind of...immune to the hostility towards him. In the hospital there were always patients that were foul tempered, and Adriel had simply learned to take it in his stride.
"I don't know if you feel the same....but it's nice to meet you. I've always wanted a brother" He stated, before he moved to close the door again "Sorry, i'll leave you alone now." He added softly, simply figuring the male would want him to leave him be....He already got the feeling that he wasn't exactly a welcomed figure in Shatu' eyes....

Shatu Colstan Shatu's olive gaze fell upon the ceiling fan that whirled above his head, he didn't want to meet the boy's gaze not just because he had built-up anger about him but it was actually a lot harder to look at anyone in the eye, even his parents noticed and gave him a long hour preach about how eye contact was civil and polite but he didn't give an s-load for that stuff he wasn't going to be some sort of business person when he grew up. He was just going to find any job that would find him and work his life on it, he didn't look for anything flashy and the idea of going to college didn't even enter his mind.
When Adriel finsihed 'introducing' himself he looked at his back, no longer having the need to hide his eye's from his, "This isn't the first time we met, but whatever, you should fit right in here right Adriel?" By the end his tone became hostile and his anger became fueled by the mere thought of this man enjoying himself as he was left behind and forgotten in the family.
