Lily frowned rolling over in her bed, she felt achy all over and she was feeling a bit warmer. She wondered breifly if Alex had turned the heat up, but she doubted it. She kicked the covers off and cuddled into her pillow in an attempt to go back to sleep. She shivered from her lack of covers and huffed at her inability to get comfortable. Shuffling out of bed she grabbed up her cover and tossed them on the bed just before giving a mighty sneeze and sniffling. "I don't want to be sick," she mumbled a yawn escaping her mouth before headed out of her room and down the steps.

She wasn't at all aware that her normally tanned cheeks were rosy and her eyes somewhat glossy. Right now all she could think about was a nice cup of tea. "Alex," she called out, "are you home? I want some of that tea the new kind."

He was indeed home, thankfully it was a weekend. The odd thing was that he was awake and out of bed already, he had the habit of sleeping in. Alexandre had added running into his schedual on weekend mornings, he'd go out for a run and come home and return to bed where he would sleep till noon or there abouts. Getting up when he had to in order to care for Cadha who was following him down the hall, from his room, as he went to answer Lilly's call.

"It's in the cabinite with the other teas." He had the tins in the same cabinet along with coffee beans for himself to grind, each tin labeled. Coming down the stairs behind Lily, Cadha was scooped up so he didn't flop down the stairs. "You ok Lily?"

Lily walked into the kitchen and over to the cabinet not noticing when Alex came in with Cadha. When he spoke her responce to his question was yet another sneeze before her face morphed into a frown.

"I think I may have caught a cold from being out at the picnic. Probably shouldn't have been out for so long without a thicker coat."

She turned to rummage through cabinet again and grabbing the tea tin, holding it out to Alex. "Will you make it for me, you make it so much better."

She gave a smile waiting for an answer, but then remember in, "Oh do you remember where we put the therometer. I think I might have a fever. I feel kind of hot. Is it hot in here to you?"

"I'm surprised I didn't get sick, it was cold that night." He didn't mention running through the woods, though his turtle neck was very nice. With how cold it was though he should have been sick as well, he figured himself lucky as he heard Lly.

"No, I don't feel hot. Why don't you get the water for the tea while I go back upstars to the bathroom for the therometer, I don't want you going back up if your feeling sick." He said softly, leaning down to nuzzle Cadha's little ears, comfortable in the little one licking his chin. "I'll finish the tea when I get back down, yeah?"

Lily laughed lightly, "you have all the luck, but really you usually dress warmer than I do. It's my own fault really, I should have known better."

She sighed and nodded plaacing the tin can on the counter, turning to find the tea kettle right on the counter. Lily loved Alex's teas so the tea kettle was almost always out. "Okay," she said nodding and moving to fill the kettle with water and put it on the stove.

Water on, she moved to the living and picked a spot on the couch to lounge and wait, Eamon trotting in and climbing up too place most of himself in her lap. Her legs were achy, but she didn't mind the bit of company. 'Hey Eamon, love. Guess we're all lucky dogs don't really catch colds."

"That's because I get cold easier." A shrug, though it was a true statement. He did get cold easy, though he still loved autumn and winter. The cold didn't bother him when on it's own, it was when you added wind or rain - sometimes snow - and sleet that he hated it.

Shaking his head he headed upstairs, Cadha still in his arms, he headed down the hall and into the bathroom they shared. All manner of products were lined up on the counter, a sink at each end of the counter. It was the closet in the bathroom, on the shelf under that which held all the towels, that he found the medicines and other necessary items to handle any possible illness or issue. To the back, and in the corner, was what he was looking for. Grabbing that and the little sleeves for it he headed back downstairs, using an elbow to turn the light off in the bathroom on the way out. "Got it Lily!"

Lily lay across Eamon's back her eyes closing as she just resting on the large lazy dog. She gave him a hug and sighed lightly. Hearing Alex proclaim that he had the thermometer, she called, "I'm in the living room, the water hasnt started to boil just yet."

She received a huff from Eamon for her noise making, but she hugged him again and he settled once more. "Im not feeling so good Eamon, good thing your fluffy fur is very comfy."

"Alright, you take your tempature and I'll finish the tea. Anything you want added to it?" He asked while passing by her on the couch. Offering her the thermometer on his way to the kitchen. Once in the kitchen he set Cadha down, promising him food as he bustled about the kitchen prepairing tea and grabbing himself a flavored water bottle from the fridge.

"Maybe you should set up a visit to the doctor, Lily?" Alexandre offered from the kitchen as he sipped his drink and got out the puppy food for the little Scottie. "And maybe I'll bring a pillow from your room down for you?" And he was already making a list of things to do, which included washing all of Lily's bed linings and redressing her bed. A new tooth brush for when she was over the cold, and he went to check to see if they had ingredients for soup for her.

Lily nodded still drapped across Eamon, not wanting to sit up, she took the offers equipment and continued rest with her lazy dog. She popped the thermometer into her mouth after she put on of the little plastic cover one, frowning at the feeling of it.

"I really don't like the little plastic things," she mumbled to Alex, "and I don't know, maybe a little honey."

She wiggled about to lay down so Eamon was beside her instead of in her lap, much to the dogs protest. The pair of them barely fit on the couch together, so Lily ended up half drapped on Eamon.

She listened to Alex shuffling about the kitched and shook her head at the mention of a doctor. It was just a cold so no doctor for her, she just wasn't going there. "I don't think it's that bad Alex, if it makes you feel better though I will have Xander come look at me okay," she said around the thermometer trying not to dislodge the thing which hadn't beeped yet.

She smiled at the offer for a pillow, not really wanting to go back up the stairs. The thermometer beeped and Lily pulled it free frowning at the reading. 100.4 degrees, apparently she had a fever.

"I know, but it's better than having to clean the end off every time." Rolling his eyes as he went to grab the honey, it was a really good thing that they were btoh as neat as they were. Things were easy to find in the house, it made for quick retreival of needed items.

"Alright, I'll concede to that. I'll even call Xander." So she didn't have to, and she could rest more. Grabbing the honey he set it on the counter as he set about making her tea. "How much honey, a little...lot, give me a hint.?" He hoped she really liked the new blend he'd put goether. Though he'd really only had one failure according to Lily.

"You should stay down here, so you don't have to go up and down the stairs. I'll bring a pillow down and then I'm going to put your bedding into the laundry." He'd have a busy day but that was alright, it was a weekend thankfully. And from the looks of the fridge and cabinites he'd need a drop by the grocery store as well. "I think I'll take advantage of Xander dropping by and make a grocery store run."

Lily wanted to toss the stupid thermometer because she didn't want to be sick and it was going to effect her time fighting the good fight. She knew she could be running around at night with a fever and Xander would forbid it. She frowned at her own suggestion and was going to fully retract it, but of course Alex offered to call and he would even if she offered to do so.

She almost cursed, but sighed and conceded to her temporary confinement. "Just a little please, you're teas never need much. Oh and the therometer says 100.4 degrees, so yes I have a fever."

She shifted a bit on the couch trying to get more confortable. "I won't go up and down the stairs, beside I don't think ..." she sneezed," ... Eamon will let me up off the couch. He's sleep. Thank's for taking care of stuff Alex, I didn't even feel up to making my bed when I got out of it."

She closed her eyes drifting off slightly, "yes groceries ... soup please," she said yawning.

"I'll let Xander know when I call." Feeding Cadha, and giving him bottled water he grabbed the tea and headed for the living room. Offering her the tea he sighed looking at his friend. Brushing her hair back from her face. "I'm going to call Xander now and I'll have everything handled, it's not a problem." In fact it was what friends, and especially those who considered themselves family, did for each other.

Shuffling back into the kitchen, watching the little black pup eating, jerking forward to his bowl and jerking back on unstable puppy legs to chew. Making sure the counter tops were clean he headed up to his room to grab his phone and called Xander from where he stood in the center of his bedroom. Tapping a foot while he waited for Lily's brother to answer. Looked like tonight he'd be staying in, he had a Lily to care for and two dogs.

Lily opened her eyes slightly at the touch, but didn't wake that was until Eamon decided to make his leave, heading into the kitchen to beg food from Alex. Lily almost fell of the couch. Groaning she sat up and stretching not enjoying just how much it ached to do so.

Spying the tea on the coffee table she scooped it up and took a few sips. It was perfect and made her itchy throat feel better. A few more sips and her stomach protested the hot tea, so she put it back and lay back down. This was not at all fun, nope not at all.

She curled up on the couch letting her eyes fall shut once more, "wake me when Xander comes, okay," she muttered.

Already he'd finished the call to Lily's brother, who was on the way and would not be telling Lily's parents just yet. Also, he'd already stripped the bedding from Lily's bed and had it in the washing machine. It was Eamon that broke him outof what he was doing, which was working on a shopping list as he wondered if he should pack Cadha up in a carry bag and take the little Scottie with him or leave Xander to puppy and dog sit.

Looking down at Eamon he nodded, smiling. "Alright boy, let's get you food and water. Then back to makng the list. "Xander should be here soon, he'll watch over you and Eamon while I do some shopping." He'd need quite a few things, in order to make soup for a few days for Lily and likely himself - he rather liked the soups he could make. At least he didn't need to buy herbs to flavor the soups with, those were easy to get in the green house out back.

Soon enough it seemed the doorbell was ringing and he was packed and ready to run out. Opening the door he filled Xander in on things before slipping out the door around Xander and leaving him to enter.
