In the hopes that this'll get me back in the mood (or habit, at least) of regularly doing something artistic, I'll be posting some of my work here. As long as I don't forget to do so, I'll probably be posting a piece or two a week. At least until I run out of pieces on my computer. Most of it, unfortunately, remains hidden away in my sketchbooks, and will remain so until a scanner becomes available to me. So don't be surprised if my updates slow down then.
Any comments and constructive criticism are welcome. I don't care where your current skills lie, if you can point out anything done incorrectly, or have suggestions on how I might improve a piece, don't hesitate to share your opinion.

In the interest of laziness, I think I'll start with what few images have already been posted elsewhere around the guild. First up is one several of you are already familiar with: the banner my character Morgan painted in commemoration of the Disciples' fifth anniversary. Below are links to progressively larger images.
Next up, a blue dragon I made for a banner contest run by Eliae Darr a few years ago. You can find a link to larger image.
Below is an Kryptis Arcanea, the fey'ri wizardess I'm currently playing in Josh's game, in the User-Run Roleplaying Subforum. This was an earlier design made when I played her in another, earlier game. She's changed a bit since, but I've yet to redo her. Hopefully soon...
And as an added bonus, a piece that hasn't been posted here before. This is an avatar I made for myself in the Giant in the Playground (giantitp) forums, depicting another RP character of mine in the style of the Order of the Stick comics (which are based out of that site).
Enjoy!

It's about time! I'm excited to finally see the entire picture of Kryptis especially after seeing her head. That little guy is really cute too.

q: ...Yeah. Quote: I'm excited to finally see the entire picture of Kryptis especially after seeing her head. Well, she has been sitting in this thread for a few years. I'm pretty sure I told you where you could find her when I showed you the closeup. Glad you like her though. She always did seem to be one of my best pieces. I probably would've held off on posting her for a while, if she hadn't already made her appearance in the forum. Quote: That little guy is really cute too. You didn't think so in the last picture you saw of him. It's the same character as is in my display on AIM and Google. I couldn't make the teeth look right with the style, so he got a normal mouth instead.

You did but then once I went to look I forgot where I was supposed to go and I just kept forgetting to ask again. Quote: You didn't think so in the last picture you saw of him. Saber Talawyrm Are you sure I was awake at the time? You did but then once I went to look I forgot where I was supposed to go and I just kept forgetting to ask again. You seemed to be. I suppose you could've just been talking in your sleep again though. q: Ah, I see. Quote: Ah. Well, maybe he's grown on me. If you knew the character, he wouldn't.

Heh, sometimes I don't know when I've been asleep. Quote: If you knew the character, he wouldn't. Perhaps but I have at least gotten used to that horrifying face staring at me every time you say something.

Kryptis is dead-sexy, though in terms of looking at her image constructively I do notice a line somewhat amiss around the hip. The angling, depth, and placement of the line is slightly off. Firstly, the placement would have to be moved slightly. The line at the crotch should lead to where that defining groove in her hip. This is especially true with how she's positioned, with her left hip apparently closer to the viewer. This also suggests that the tension isn't on that leg, meaning that the line should be lighter, in addition to being moved slightly and angled differently. For the above stated reasons I would also shift the navel, slightly and the breasts look a bit as though they are viewed from a direct portrait angle, despite the somewhat contra-posto angle. I was sorry nothing ever actually got to be accomplished with that dragon. It's a wonderful drawing. I'd rather he have a home here, than the clan, which Gaia made evident long ago would never be implemented. The other works are great, as well. Excellent work, as always.

Yeah, that line really is off. Well, not just that line, but the entire pose, really. Especially in the hips. It's even more evident viewing just the lineart. Actually, her chest is angled just a bit to her left (despite the angle of her hips), and her navel isn't really depicted. That's part of the median line that defines muscle tone over the stomach. Her navel would've been directly beneath the chains around her waist, but so little would've been visible beneath it that I omitted it entirely. Now that I'm looking at it critically too, I've noticed that her waist continues to pinch in, even beneath her corset... At least she's done decently enough above that point. Quote: I was sorry nothing ever actually got to be accomplished with that dragon. It's a wonderful drawing. I'd rather he have a home here, than the clan, which Gaia made evident long ago would never be implemented. Did he never end up doing anything with it? Huh. That's too bad. Well, if you can think of something to use it for here, have at.

The following images were part of an old assignment in my 2D Illustration class. The project was to draw an unusual, fantastic mount and rider. This was the final concept piece (or model sheet, I forget which it was supposed to be) for the rider. I'll post the mount next time. A larger image can be viewed here.

She's really interesting, I can't wait to see her mount. Maybe it will take less than a week?

Saber Talawyrm She's really interesting, I can't wait to see her mount. Thank ye. Just don't ask what she's supposed to be. q: Care to make any guesses as to what she rides? Quote: Maybe it will take less than a week? Marginally less, if I remember to post on time. Since the updates are supposed to be made on monday nights, rather than tuesday mornings. q:

mourn_of_blades Thank ye. Just don't ask what she's supposed to be. q: Care to make any guesses as to what she rides? Given that it says it was supposed to be unusual and fantastical, I'm not sure. Some kind of water creature though, I imagine, given her appearance. Quote: Marginally less, if I remember to post on time. Since the updates are supposed to be made on monday nights, rather than tuesday mornings. q: Really marginal then considering with the time difference this one was posted Monday night.

Indeed. 3nodding Quote: Really marginal then considering with the time difference this one was posted Monday night. For you. It was already tuesday by my time when I'd posted. But yes, very marginally. It'll be a matter of hours, not days. And not likely many, at that. Of course, this all goes under the assumption that I don't completely forget to make the update. q:
