Danny had a good night's rest after the kraken attack, and thanks to Roch her wing was feeling tip top. The question mongering had been a bit much (from all the newspapers, that is), but now she was feeling fidgety in her dorm room. After the excitement of the kraken, the anticipation for the next trial was just bubbling up in her.
She had to take this excitement and DO something with it, or she was going to explode!
At first she had tried to go for a run to get her mind off things, but the interviewers had absolutely bombarded her. At first it was okay- Danny liked the limelight after all. As time went on though, it just got tiring. Answering the same questions over and over again was NOT fun.
So she decided to seek refuge in Yin's room. Danny would've gone to Rikki's room to check on him, but it was still relatively early today, and there was no way he was going to be away. Though she usually woke him up with gusto, she figured after the first trial he deserved a bit of sleep. The mantis would be in though, right?

Yin was getting a drink, feeling wonderfully stretched after his tai chi, though some of his muscles were sore from the events of the trial of famine. He was almost ready to get out and go for his morning run, and then of course training at the gym. Hearing a knock at the door all but shattered the peace. But the really bizarre thing was how excited Princess Eva seemed to be when she ran toward the door. She never seemed to act like that when Alexander arrived, nor did that really sound like his knock.
Slightly puzzled he hurried over to the door, opening it to reveal...Miss Danny. A brief look of confusion crossed his face before he remembered that she had once brought him back to his room. "Good morning Miss Danny," he said happily. "How may I assist you this morning?"
Princess Eva darted forward to greet the crown princess, and Lady Terror followed her, sniffing at Miss Danny and then trying to twine around her ankles. Whether or not the ghoul was trying to walk.

The first thing she saw was a bolt of orange fur running towards her- a sight Danny was quite used to thanks to Tiff. Without a second though, Danny picked Princess Eva up, and hoisted her onto her shoulder. Even with their size, rabos were somehow very apt at cling to people.
"Hiii," she said in a singsong voice, crossing past Yin into the larger space of his room. "Just coming by to check if you were okay," she said, "You know. 'Cause of the kraken and stuff."
Her hand absently stroked Princess Eva's fur, as if it was Tiff. Rabos were rabos man.

If Miss Danny had not been one of his closest friends the sight of her with Princess Eva would probably have made him happy. As it was he seemed to be gazing at the two with a look that was fairly close to adoration. All of Princess Eva's tails were wagging happily as Yin carefully shut the door and turned around.
"Thank you for your concern Miss Danny. My group was fine though the kraken destroyed our sand castle. How did the trial treat your group? We were too busy most of the time to really focus on the other groups."
Lady Terror was intrigued. Whoever this was had a tail made out of fire. And Eva approved of her. She trailed after the two, waited for Miss Danny to stop, and began trying to paw at the flaming tip of her tail.

Yeah Alex. Both of Yin's pets like Danny. HOW D'YOU LIKE THEM APPLES?
"Ours got destroyed too," she said, a little relieved that her group wasn't the only group that did so terribly in the trial. After losing to the kraken so badly, she wasn't feeling to hot on her abilities. Especially since she had such an embarrassing after-fight-entendre with Edel. It was humiliating.
Danny noticed Lady Terror swatting at her tail and smiled. Silly little minipets. Danny didn't mind though. Her tail was just an outpouring of FEAR. As long as the minipet didn't hurt itself- who cared? Besides, it was nice to see some fire friendly pets. Why Yin had it was beyond her. Did mantis' like fire?
She shook her head, and said, "The trial was ... scary. Lots of water." She looked up at Yin absently and said, "Know what I mean?"

"I am sorry to hear that Miss Danny," he watched, fairly amused, as Lady Terror began to play with the fire demoness' tail. He was not concerned about her, the little creature smoldered enough herself that he felt fairly certain she could handle a bit of fire. And in fact, the petite vaisel was beginning to glow a bit more, and a couple of embers may have drifted about, just tiny specks of fire as she played happily with her new toy. Stranger in the room? Who cared. Such a wonderful guard.
"Water? Oh...the tide? We actually were lucky with that, the water barely lapped at the walls of our sandcastle." It was easy to see why she might not like water, it was something that he had learned as a scareling after all. "But I would think that the trials would attempt to monitor different skills. So perhaps water will not be a factor next time?"

Danny's fears were starting to show through, even on her face, and in the abject hault of her Princess Eva pets. "But what if they send us to a snow place? Or a pool?" Danny frowned. She was being weak.
Her phone buzzed, and she pulled it out. After fiddling with it, she found out she had a notification on groanspring.
It's always time to __________ ?
Fire, obviously. She tapped out the answer (albeit slowly, and one finger at a time) but it was finished. She hit the send button and then looked back over at Yin.
"I'm just worried I might ... I dunno, pass out while my team is trying to win." AKA, once again she was feeling useless. "Especially after that beach challenge. There was water everywhere, and I felt like I couldn't do anything to help." She recalled standing on her little sand bank, not able to even help rebuild their castle just because she was too afraid to walk on the water-filled sand.

Princess Eva was fairly content to just cuddle against Crown Princess Danny.
Lady Terror was content to curl up on the ground below the flaming tail. This ghoul was the perfect heat lamp for the vaisel.
"But they might go to someplace that is fiery," he argued. Not necessarily for the sake of argument but mainly because he did not wish to think about it. Snow? How on Halloween would he be able to help his team in snow? Maybe he had better dress warmly for the other trials.
He could pass out too.
Starting to feel slightly stressed out he quickly tried change the topic. "Is that an eyephone Miss Danny? What are you doing with it?"

Danny was already tapping away at her phone with the newest notification that had popped up for groanspring. She hadn't checked it for a while, and now it was burgeoning with new things for her to do.
"Yup, eyephone!" she said, hitting the send button, and looking for a place to sit down. "I'm on groanspring!" she added, happily. It wasn't every day that she could figure out something technology-wise, so she was actually rather proud of this achievement.
Besides, if she could do it, that meant Yin could, right? "Hey I don't think I have your groanspring yet. What is it?" she asked, looking at him expectantly.

So that was an eyephone, but then it was like she started speaking gibberish. "Er...groanspring? Is that anything likes a hot spring?" Yeah, the mantodae had no idea what she was talking about.
"If you let me know what it is I might be able to get it for you."
The minipets had decided that the fire demon should just stay right where she was. Forever.

"You don't know what groanspring is?" Danny said, taking an abrupt step towards Yin. Much to the minis' despair, Danny was not the type to stay still, even for a second. Princess Eva was knocked slightly off her pedestal, but she immediately climbed back up. Seriously, these rabos were nimble.
She showed Yin her phone, and slowly scrolled through answers. "See, people ask you questions and leave likes and comments and stuff, and you answer the questions!" she explained, though quite vaguely.

Follow the heat source owo
He looked at the phone she held out to him, or more specifically at the groaning spring...whatever it was. "They leave likes? As in...things that they like or things that you like? Or..." Leave likes really made no sense to him. "Can they just ask any question of you? And you are forced to answer? Can anyone see this?" This all seemed rather nightmarish really.

"Noooo Yin," Danny said, speaking to him as if he was a child. Gosh her friends were so DUMB sometimes! "Likes are just like ... I dunno, if you like someone's answer ... you press the button." She paused for a moment, realizing even she didn't know the meaning behind a like.
Shaking her head, she continued, "Yeah they can ask all sorts of things! If you don't want to answer it, you can just press ... ummm ..." She referred back to her phone, searching the entire tiny little screen for the button. Oh duh. It was the 'x'! How could she forget that? "This! See watch."
There was a question about music on her groanspring, and she clicked the X. It immediately disappeared, lost to cyberspace. "And if you wanna ask people stuff uhhhhh ..." Danny looked away from her phone, scanning Yin's room. "Where's your computer? It'd be easier to show you on that." The idea of someone not having a computer was just unheard for the rich, spoiled demonness.

Well, likes made little sense, but knowing that one was not forced to answer each question was nice. He watched curiously as she searched for the button, watching how she just tapped the screen and it was all fixed. No more question. How easy! And you could ask people too? But what if no one answered the questions you asked?
He was still contemplating that problem when she asked him about his computer. "Uhhh," he said rather intelligently. What was a computer again? It was...was that one of those objects with the screens? He thought he had remembered seeing a sign at the library that had had to do with "comp" somethings, so perhaps it was those machines. There was not much to scan in Yin's room, considering that the only piece of furniture was his bed. "I do not have one? At least, I do not think that I do. If they are the machines then I certainly do not." Yin owned one machine, and it was his trashbot. The poor thing sometimes went around trying to pick up dust and bits of fur but there was not much to clean, and no real trash to speak of.

Danny just stared. Stared forever. "How do you not have a computer?" she said, looking around the room. Surely he was joking. That was that "sarcasm" thing right? She still wasn't very good at telling when people were using it.
"C'mon its around here somewhere, right?" She started lifting up what few possessions he had. Clearly he was hiding his computer under Princess Eva's little minipet bed, right? How he managed to fit a computer under there was beyond her, but Danny just KNEW it had to be there.
SHE KNEW RAMEN.
