He was never going to get this sand out of his tail.
Having dropped off Tomoko safely at the Demon Dorms, Jack had decided to get some fresh . . .ish, muggy Amityville air after all that sun and relaxation, his greens aglow again and his skin tanner than he remembered from when they had left for he human world. He was also pretty tired - it had been a while since he was allowed so much excitement, or running, or sand . . . and whatnot, it was obvious that he was pretty done.
It wasn't until the commotion and sounds around the corner blind-sided him that he realized that the 'excitement' would follow the students through the portal, all these lights, sounds and QUESTIONS, oh the questions, as he was bombarded by turning faces and recording minipets and devices, his eyes squinting from the colours.
After a few moments of just wild question and assumptions, Jack's patience run dry, and lifting his hands palm down, he motioned down - attempted to subdue them. "Calm down, calm down, I'm only good with one question at a time; I'm not a miracle worker," he murmured with the movement, attempting to lighten everything up, winning a couple chuckles by those who decided to stay with him, others straying to harrass other suseptable students were were not expecting an entourage.
We heard some of the staff at Amityville have been rather... questionable. What is your opinion on this? called out smoothly, the reporter to the voice almost lost in the fray, Jack's eyes scanning for a stern face waitin for answers, to no avail.
"I'm not sure how to answer that." He murmured, putting his hand on his chinscruff, eyes lidded. "I'm not really the person you should be asking - I've only recently come back from an out of school trip, and have missed some things." He tried to get out carefully, attempting to back out of that bag of snakes.

But it was to no avail, as more eyes were on him suddenly, as if they had been magical words, hey look at the tall boy, he's going to say something. . .
As if it were an echo, he heard the words again, through a female's voice - Yes, we also heard some of the staff at Amityville have been rather... questionable. What is your opinion on this? - he lifted his hands up defensively, as if trying to calm the ocean, his tail starting to flick a little uncomfortably behind him, a crowd he was not comfortable with.
"To be honest," he started, hoping to ramble on, "I don't see where those accusations are coming from - I haven't had any issues with any of the staff members."He finished at first, sure there were spotty moments - the original Train event for one - "It's been a fine stay since I came here, they're very helpful when it comes to their students and very serious about their work . . . " he murmured quickly. Slather it on Jack.
"I'm not sure what kind of answer you're looking for on this one, but I've had no problems here, next?" he finished, keeping it short and sweet - he was not going to slander any names of his staff - he still had to live and go to school here. They did not. Turning away from the two questioners - who would probably break away to pursue other students anyways, his ears perked at the sound of another voice, honing in on the question.

What do you think about Amityville as a school? How would you rate it? Floated in, his eyes locking in with a taller gentleboil, a softer look on him than the other reporters, and a smile showed up on the feline's face, his unnatural grin making him shine a little.
"It beats an Orphanage, I would be safe to say." He answered, remarkably truthfully, but still allowed the cynics to chortle with him, before hooking his thumbs in the white shorts he had come back in with. "It's been very accomidating, and keeping true to those who are not . . . society stable as others - keeping students comfortable by segregating them from those they aren't fond with, I suppose you could say. I find it pretty nice though, that they at least try to dip the students in all forms of social standards - highclass, low class, ghosts, demons, all that jazz. I wouldn't have spent my last silver trying to get here if I didn't feel it would have been a good decision for me." He finished.
It was a little unnerving, being this honest about the school. Jack did not like talking about his frugal ways - it always came off sounding . . . poor. Almost an insult to the social standings his long since estranged and forgotten parents held, but who was going to care - he was alone family wise, and the students he had made friends with here were his family. So whatever, throw it to the birds.

We heard recently, that a ghoul died in your school and has never been found since. Is this true? After a moment of content silence from those around, that first nagging voice came through, as if attempting to pry some information from under the cat king's claws.
Sighing through his nose, he stared at her for a moment before shrugging softly, leaning back on his heels.
"I don't know." Was all he could say. "It was before I came back, whatever you know is the most I do. Any mroe questions?" He stated, being short again. Rumours were one thing, but when the press were just as nosy as the next gossiping ghoul, Jack wasn't willing to give them any help.
Turning away, he looked over his shoulder. "I think I've answered enough questions, I hope you find what you're looking for." He offered, before giving a small bow out - the performer in him, before attempting to make his way through the crowd.
