User ImageLuthe had distanced himself from Phil for a bit. He cared for his friend, but the things he had Seen... He knew that he needed to be out of the way for the moment. If Phil was to be happy, Luthe needed to not get caught with the rest of the little group. There were too many factors that could be changed if he was present.
Besides that, he needed time to recuperate from his last few visions. It was so frustrating sometimes, to try so hard to See his family and only be shown the hazy image of a female he didn't know. She was not his mother or any other relative that he was aware of, she certainly didn't look it. Perhaps he was being shown his own future, but then it had never been like that. He could only See the past, present, or future of other individuals, not his own. It was probably some natural rule, that Seers always had strengths and weaknesses.

He was a large lion who had taken more after his mother than his father, if his nyanya had remembered right. She would tell him how she had the same blond mane and bright blue eyes. The medallion he wore on the cloth around his shoulders had been a gift from her, probably so that she could find her cubs someday... or maybe so that they would always remember where they had come from. Luthe wasn't sure, but either way he kept his close. With his nyanya gone, his blood family was all he had left and he was determined to find them.

Luthe sighed and chose a tree to lie under. He could see his mountain home in the far distance. Sometimes he thought about just going back and living his life where he'd been raised. But no, he had to find his family first, at least one member.

User Image It had been a few days now since he had run into that rather awesome lion on the beach. Tafari couldn't wait to encounter him again. He could just imagine getting into a competition with that one, a tough competition. His chest puffed and his head was held high as he trekked on foot so he could see under some of the trees. The mortal guise was held just in case of any fortunate (or unfortunate) encounters.

Every so often he could glance at the mountain and think of his goal. Meet Tari at her resting point, right, as soon as he found one of her friends. A grin stretched across his chest. He'd do it and soon. There wasn't a challenge proposed yet that he couldn't complete.

As he looked away from the mountain his thoughts were pulled back to the present. Something shining caught his eye from among the trees. He paused to oogle it a moment than continued toward it with a trot. The closer he get the more he could see the lion that went along with the shining symbol.

"Hey!" He called.

As with the last lion he dared to disturb he kept a distance of thirteen feet. Just in case this one turned out to be not-so-friendly. he couldn't quite place it, but this lion looked familiar in a sense. Maybe he had competed with him before...

Luthe looked up and tilted his head when someone called out. He sat up and nodded politely to the other male.

"Hey. Something I could do for you?" he asked, not really sure what this lion wanted. He was a really plain lion, but so was Luthe for the most part and Phil most certainly was. This guy looked young, too, but he was also big, about as big as he was when he was that age. A demi-god, perhaps? Not his brother, that was certain. He remembered enough to tell that. His brother was paler with a shocking white mane.

Thinking about his brother made his heart ache. He missed his nyanya, but missing his true family was like there was an empty place in his heart. It was the only thing that kept him on this foolish mission. He knew it was just in his head, but it felt like with every passing day that he didn't find someone in his family, the medallion at his shoulder grew heavier and heavier. It was a cold reminder of what he didn't have in his life, what he wanted to get back so badly.
But he hid the pain well. All that was on his face was that mild look of interest and curiosity, an old look on a young face.

Tafari was careless enough in his excitement to not create the illusion of being smaller as a normal adolescent lion should have been. The thought was completely banished from his mind. Instead he stood before the other with a wide smile on his face and an accomplished look in his eye. The medallion was -identical- to the one Tari had, perhaps this was the one this was the needle!

"Actually, yeah. See, I have a friend that was looking for one of her friends." He gestured toward the medal on his shoulder with a slight flick of his nose. "She told me her friend would have a medal like that."

Tafari could hardly contain his excitement. Accomplishing a goal was among one of the greater feelings.

"And if I found them I should take them tooooo..." He looked around for the mountain Tari had mentioned for a moment than nodded in its general direction. "....ooo her mountain so you guys could meet again."

His own look of excitement crossed Luthe's face... but only for a brief moment. It had to be his mother, he didn't think it could be anyone else.
"She called... she said friend?" He looked where the other lion was looking. His mountain? His mother was at his mountain? Had she been coming back to his den after all this time? He could have just stayed at home and she would come to him? How could it be that easy?
But she was looking for them! She wanted to find them, she hadn't completely abandoned them. Or... no, she couldn't have some malicious intent, his nyanya said his mother was kind and fair.

He looked off with a shake of his head, running an agitated paw over his somewhat curly mane.
"She called us friends?" It was more an astonished whisper to himself than anything else.

Tafari's head cocked to the side as his brows furrowed. The wide smile had vanished from his face and his eyes tried to study the other lion's reaction carefully. He didn't seemed to pleased. Maybe they were more than that? Father daughter? Lovers? The latter thought earned a snort.

"Well, that's what I would assume. But common!" He jerked his head toward the mountain again. "The sooner we leave the better. Have to make it there by the full moon... She said she was there at certain stages of the moon."

Tafari's chest puffed a little at sounding smart. His tail flicked and the grin was restored to his face. The thought of accomplishing this task was now foremost on his mind, the sooner it was completed the better.

Oh. Luthe's face softened when the other lion explained he had assumed. His mother was looking for him. She had come back and found them gone and had been searching for them. It warmed his heart, he felt like he could take on anything, just knowing she was there waiting for him to come home.
But he couldn't leave, not yet. There were things in motion and he needed to be here for it, he needed to help. Otherwise things could go wrong. He sighed and shook his head, this wouldn't be over by the next full moon.

"I can't go yet, I have things I need to do here. But I will come on the first moon I can. But I'm not the only one, all of my siblings have the coins, well, we were given one, who knows if the other coins weren't lost..." he trailed off, giving the lion a sort of critical look over.
"Are you a god?" It would make sense. His mother was a goddess, no doubt she had friends that were deities, too.

...more? Tafari took a deep breath and exhaled loudly. Sounded like he still had more of this task to complete. Now there was a time limit. Made it a little more challenging, but was still a tad disappointing. However the lion's cleverness caught Tafari's good mood again. His mortal guise faded away.

"Yeah, names Tafari." He'd leave the domain to be guessed. "Alright, so I'll meet you up there by the new moon. If ya get your stuff done."

He paused in thought a moment. "And in the mean time I'll try and round up the rest of ya. And specific numbers?"

And would have to check back at the mountain every new moon to be sure he didn't miss this one.

Luthe puffed up a bit when the god revealed himself. He had been absolutely right, a god-friend of his mother's. But then... he didn't know what this male's relation to his mother was. If she hadn't told him the coin-bearers were her children, maybe it would be wrong to inform him.

"There should be three more, a pale male with a white mane and freckles, a female that looks more like me, and a white female with blonde mane and light blue flowers on her legs... from what I remember," he replied, being more vague about it. Of course, he had no idea if his siblings still had their gifts...

"If you find them, I'd be eternally grateful as well. I left home with the hope of finding them as well as... the goddess that gave us these trinkets." He would certainly return home as soon as he could, and maybe even try to See a little bit into this god's life, to figure out more about Tafari and how he knew his mother.

"I'm Luthe."

Tafari was relieved to have a little more information on what he was looking for this time. It made the needle somewhat bigger in this haystack. Still, a needle was a needle though.

"Luthe? Gotch'a." He nodded. "Thanks. Much easier than going off of 'they have a coin'."

He looked back toward the mountain briefly. "Well, I got alotta ground to cover... Meet you again with more company."

The god grinned at the other lion, confidence overflowing at this point. He didn't wait for a response before taking off in his current faced direction to begin his new search. All of them were going to be found. There was no way he could fail at this. Tafari just had to remember to return to the mountain every new moon. T
