 Survey Mission 3AGeneral debriefing: Witnesses reported incidents of a sighting of potentially a black dog in the remote woods of a neighbourhood in northern *YOU CHOOSE A CITY/LOCATION*. Local animals have been found mangled or missing. Dispose of the creature and return with a report of the occurrence. * C class difficulty level (must have a team of three, at least one of them must be an intermediate trainee) MECHANICS * MECHANICS: RP assembling a team, as necessary, before heading towards the Lighthouse portal to request a portal to Survey Mission 3A. Once there, roll a 100-sided dice and match the roleplay to the results below, as well as any reactions. Players can continue rolling until any of the players roll a HALLOWEEN ENCOUNTER, in which case the BATTLE PHASE begins. See below for battle phase mechanics. 1- 20: You look around the scant neighbourhood, everything seems normal. You do notice how some of the fences, though they say "beware of dog", are lacking actual dogs in their yards. 21 - 40: You hit a rocky crossroad junction between two neighbourhoods and what seemed like an abandoned railway line. The crossroads center however, is bumpy and uneven, as if something was buried underneath it. If you decide to uncover it, you find odd enough, a silver tray with thick black ashes. 41 - 60: You notice that the signs, the neighbourhood stop signs and posts have all been painted and engraved with a strange symbol, a backwards arced spiral. They line up almost eerily against each other as far as you can see. 61 - 80: You see something from the corner of your eyes, a black fleeting shadow. As you turn around, you notice that this entire neighbourhood is lacking in any residents 81- 100: BOSS ENCOUNTER: - You spot a large black dog, larger than any you've seen: in fact, it is nearly the size of a horse. Its form seems to waver in and out of existence, though upon spotting you, it solidifies, ready to attack. - BOSS MECHANICS: This boss has 50 HP. Every time you attack it (following the general battle rules), you TAKE 8 damage. Make sure to tally the boss's total HP (the damage you did to it) at the bottom of your post as well as your total HP and the damage you did that round. If the boss's HP hits 0, you have defeated it, and your team can now take the portal back. * 3 mission reward points for completing this successfully

New External Mission? No problem! Something to build up knowledge and experience and foster a positive working relationship with his fellow trainees! Who wouldn't want that when the trainee Before had in mind was a certain female Lifer. Except they couldn't go on this mission just the two of them, aside from the fact that they needed three people for the clearance, it felt too much like a date. Which this can't be so Before needed a third member and who better to ask for help than his bro?naggeela Stoooory~ meet at portal, k? 83 Bix is coming with. iloveyouDIE Bro, imma need a wingman on this mission!

Bix, upon arriving, was positive that wingman was the proper term for his role in this mission. He would support Before and make him look hella-cool in front of Tori if he could. As they waited for Tori to arrive Bix kept giving Before the 'wiggly eyebrow' treatment.

Currently Tori was writing up some notes while she was reading another myth story as she just couldn't get enough of them, so much good information. Hearing hearing that she was getting a text in and even Aklin didn't have to tell her that it was going off this time. Seeing that it was from Before to meet her at the portal and thought it could be a mission to which could be fun and she was total cool with Bix coming along. Huni Pi Alight, I will be there in a little. Texting Before back as she put her pen down along with her book as she make a grab for her coat and while putting it on she grabbed her a small bag that had various things inside. Slinging across her shoulder heading out of her room and closing the door behind her. In no time she made it to the portal room and smiled when she spotted Before waiting there along with Bix and she hoped that she hadn't kept them waiting too long for her to get there. "Heya Before and Bix. I hope that I didn't keep you both waiting too long,"

Before totes regrets his choice of words for that text to Bix, just so you know 8I He was tempted to swat at the tall Sunny, instead he hissed from the corner of his mouth, "Dude, quit that, don't make me ask After to come with instead of you. At least he makes me look taller. Before frowned >8I
But his embarrassed expression only grew worse when Tori arrived and he couldn't stop from grinning. "Okay! So we're all here, alls we gotta do is, uh, go through the portal. Oh and we're supposed to-" he began to brief them on their goals and objectives, sounding remarkably competent. Did he perhaps rehearse this?

Bix was good! He only did the eyebrows before Tori arrived. Afterwards he was all business. He was pretty impressed that Before was so prepared. After the speech the albino hunter merely gave a nod. "Geronimo!" He did a little hop and jogged through the portal. They emerged in some sort of neighborhood but Bix specifically found himself in the middle of a crossroads. "Dangerous as hell, dropping me in the middle of the street." He waited for the others as they popped into existence beside him. There didn't seem to be anything crazy or horrific. No bad smells. Instead he was looking at roads crossing rail lines. There was a strange mound. He decided to poke it with his toe and the dirt fell away. Taking it as a sign the albino hunter began to dig with his hands. It didn't take long to uncover a silver tray covered in ashes. "Circumstantial?" He had no idea.

Tori listened to what Before was saying and found that he was getting better at being a leader and was impressed. She gave a little smile as she then proceeded to follow Bix through the portal. Once the portal had spit her out and at least it hadn't dumped her onto the street like it had with Bix but on to the sidewalk near by. Tori was going to go up to where Bix was but something had caught her eye. When looking at the stop sign she found a curious marking that made her think of the horsemen mark she had seen on there last mission and had to wonder if it could be related or something. Taking a quick photo of it and looked around it to see that she could see that mark on all the signs down the road and they lined up that was just strange. "So what did you find there Bix?" she asked while walked to were he was. "I just found something a strange backwards arced spiral symbol on the stop sign and it seams to be on other ones as well," she added pointing to were the symbol was.

Click, click, click when Before's phone as he quickly took pictures of the tray Bix found and the signs Tori pointed out. "Good thing there's not a lot of traffic," he remarked to his friends in between shots of his camera. "Dunno why that was buried or left behind, but we oughta get some samples of the ash, yeah?" He offered a bag to Bix, turning towards Tori to ask if maybe she-
Something moved back there.
The Misty tensed, recalling the graveyards with the missing bodies. "Hey, bro, remember the graves and the pocket watch I found there? Think it's from the same set as that tray?"
Speaking of missing bodies, silly Before, where is the general populace?
"The reports never mentioned this was a ghost town we're in... where the heck is everyone?" DDDDDDDDDDDDD8

"I remember." Bix took the sample of the ash as well as the tray. He had to put it in a bigger bag. "Not sure if they are the same. This one is silver and the other was gold but it's still kind of weird. Finding these sorts of items buried. The symbol also looks like something I saw in Vegas. It was painted all over the street signs." These missions all were connecting but Bix wasn't sure yet if he could find the strings that tied them together. "You're right though, no people. And these are residential houses." He pointed at all the fenced in yards. Several had 'Beware of Dog' signs but no dogs. "No pets either. Supposed to be dogs around but I don't even hear the noise of animals." He used his phone to photograph the houses, the emptiness, the signs, etc.

Tori quickly took out her note book and jotted down some notes and drew the symbol inside along with said notes about it. "This symbol to me reminds me of the marking when we were in the horseman lair the one were we had to look for the exit," she said while listening to the both of them. "Oh I did that mission too and found a watch in a graveyard, it was really old," Tori added and looked around at Before's comment about there not being any people around. "I would have thought that there might have been a person or two that told us how strange we look," she commented with a little smile. "Your right Bix there aren't any dogs around that is very strange," she said as she looked at the 'beware of dog' signs without any dogs and she thought that there should have maybe been some dogs roaming around too but just like the people there were none. Making more notes and took a few pictures as one couldn't collect enough just to be on the safe side. As one didn't know what they higher ups truly wanted.

When he was certain the strange shadowy figure wasn't there, he focused his attention to the supposed graffiti. "This is weird, these totes don't look like they were sprayed on. More like engraved... dude, this takes dedication!"

"Yeah look how they line up.." Bix was next to Before, showing him how all the signs seemed to align in a strange way. "Same as in Vegas." He was pulling out his phone in order to take a picture when something moved in the corner of his eye. The albino hunter saw a dog, a huge dog, ridiculously huge. At first it didn't seem to see him and it was flickering in and out of existence. "Shh.. shh guys.." He hunkered down but as soon as he'd whispered to his partners the beast turned and spotted them. The beast growled, turned totally solid, and charged. "WEAPONS!!" Bix shouted out a warning to both Before and Tori.

The Misty nodded and rubbed his chin in thought. He hadn't gone to Vegas, he had gone to New Mexico though there weren't any markings. Just weird wheat-things in the water and lots of holes. "Story and I went to the beach mission with Sherry. There weren't a lot of animals there eith-" the rest of his words were cut off when Bix yelled out the warning.
Immediately, the bottle-cap pin enlarged into his hand as a large wheel. He angled Vanna as a shield just in time for the black dog to slam into him, square in the chest. "Oh shi-!" Before grunted and shoved the creature away, but not without stabbing at it with the spiked ends of his weapon.
"This thing packs a punch!" he warned.
HP: 42/50

When Before struck the dog, it turned on him instead. The beast bit his leg, teeth sinking into the FEAR shield. Bix took the opportunity to stab at it's head with the end of his bow.
"It bites hard too. Damn. Tori be careful!" She was still a bit weaker than he and his bro and he didn't want her FEAR shield giving out. He'd feel pretty shitty if she got taken out.

Listening to what the both of them were saying and making notes to the important parts to make sure to remember them. "That is very intersting and Before is right about there being no animals around," she had been saying until Bix said to be quiet to which she did and then when told to get weapons out Tori did just that.
With in seconds Aklin was in her hands with a clank of his chain as she make sure to have a good hold on the chain and hilt. "Thanks and I will be careful," she said to the both of them. Tori thought it would be a good chance to try out her chain once again. Twirling the ball end of the chain and running close up to the creature and letting it fly and she felt that the ball had hit its target.
"Hell bells," Tori said as the creature attack really did have a punch.
