A young girl's life had been forever changed the moment she'd met the Negaverse and been corrupted into their army. That alone may not make that great of a story but this wasn't just your back alley corruption of a civilian to a lieutenant. No, the result of the corruption hadn't been entirely what anyone expected, and it hadn't even been in this country. It started in the Greek port city of Thessaloniki where a girl named Theodora Argyros lived with her family. Unlike Destiny City where senshi were prominent and the activities of the Negaverse were as common as Sunday church, this city hadn't ever had those problems.

Whatever the reason for the Negaverse being in that city at that moment had changed the course of this girl's life forever. Perhaps this was the payment for her delinquent behaviour in the past, or perhaps it was more of a reward. Not only had she gained power but with it she had gained a place in a much bigger cause than the trivial pursuits she'd led prior. The Negaverse was hardly needed overseas as it was in Destiny City and there was literally no need for her there. It was time. No longer could she remain dormant in Greece. It took a bit of convincing but eventually her school and parents both agreed that being sent to the United States would be good for her, and then what seemed like just mere days she'd was packed up and on a plane.

The flight had felt like a decade of torture, forced to sit uncomfortably between business men and vacationing families returning home from Europe. Was this what it was going to be like when she got to the United States? What a depressing thought. What could be worse than being surrounded by American idiots. Perhaps a group of American senshi? Either way, it was a true testimony to the international opinion of the nation.

The plane ride had only been about twelve hours. It may have been torture but in the end she'd been wrong. There was something worse than being stuck on the plane for twelve hours with Americans and it wasn't American senshi. It was the nuns at her school. They were worse, so much worse. Every minute listening to (or pretending to while she nodded her head) made her want to cut off her ears similiar to a dutch painter from the 1800s.

It may have been a millennium before she had been set free and it was then she wasted no time. Settling in further could wait. After being cooped up on the plane and then further tortured by the nuns, it was time for this girl to go on the prowl. It was simple enough to escape without detection and for that she was thankful. She never wanted to imagine what sort of rant the nuns would have in store for her had she been caught. She wanted until she was a safe distance away and then she powered up. It was then that she reflected on the night that had changed her life. It was the night that instead of becoming a Negaverse Lieutenant, the girl standing in the United States was awakened as a corrupted senshi.

Long silver hair tied up in balls and carefully draped over one arm so that it did not drag along the ground, the corrupt senshi Nickeline soon found herself summoned to a new location before she could even take her first step as a senshi on the filthy grounds of the United States. Suddenly being summoned the way she had been, one of her hands had formed a fist in a reaction to punch something while her arm holding her hair off the ground almost dropped down as her arm prepared to defend herself.

"Where am I?" She yelled rather unpleasantly in Greek, completely forgetting English in the moment of her surprise.

The European branch of the Negaverse had been devoid of any news, good or bad, for a very long time. That was to be expected. It was a small group and an uneventful place, stationed there only for the sake of vigilance and a secondary source of energy. Recruitments were few, far between, and only conducted when it was deemed absolutely necessary. So when a directive to bring another into the fold had gone awry, Laurelite had heard about it. And when the unexpected mishap was revealed to be because the would-be Lieutenant had been an unawakened senshi, she had immediately gone to work with her contacts to arrange the magical girl's delivery to the United States.

Such volatile, undeserved power had no place in Europe's careful, covert and meticulous operations. It would be much easier to find use for it here. The negotiations were time-consumingly tedious, and the wait for the senshi's arrival was long, given what could be accomplished or lost in a matter of hours. Hopefully this would be worth it.

The plane should have touched down several minutes ago. Laurelite had heard of no delays. She had a photograph of the new senshi in her hands, silver-haired and naive-looking as the rest of them. A simple thought, a bit of focus, and her whole form appeared in the main hall of the subspace, confused and angry.

Laurelite took a calm breath and stepped forward.

"Headquarters. You were told you would be brought here," she replied, placid and clipped. "Now if you would be so kind... please continue your outburst in English. My Greek is not very good."

Nickeline took pride in the fact that she was a very alert person so for her to have been practically lifted up from where she'd been without any realization of the fact until she had gotten there was quite the blow to her own ego. How could she have let that happen? She had thought about it as her eyes darted around the room, obviously trying to get a good idea of where she was. Was it because she'd never been the United States before? Her eyes settled toward various places in the room as she looked for exits and places to hide, although she suspected none of that would be useful when she could just be summoned. At least not until she knew more about everything. If she couldn't stop herself from being summoned, she'd just have to stop herself from being on the radar. It was obviously a thought she didn't like the idea of: being at the beck and call of someone without any resistance. Oh, was she in for a treat.

She gave up the thought for the moment, greater things at hand. Her face still had quite the scowl but she tossed her shoulders back with something like a shrug before she looked at General-Queen Laurelite with interest. This wasn't the person she'd met in Greece but why would she be? Maybe her world was just too small to have expected such a strange thing. It was why she was here though, her desire to do greater things and expand her small world had ultimately brought her to this very time and place.

There was no smile when she greeted her and her fist remained tightly bound in a futile effort. She could sense it. This person was calm and collected, speaking nothing less than necessary. Her aura was so much stronger than Nickeline could even hope to win against but Nickeline didn't flinch. She didn't retract or show any weakness. In essence this girl was fearless. She had no idea who this person was but she was ready to fight if necessary. Perhaps that was unnecessary but chances was not something in her vocabulary and not just because her English wasn't great.

"Who are you?" She asked.

"And here?" She made a small gesture with her hand, dropping her hair momentarily as her other hand remained in a fist. "Me? Can I get here?"

She was aware of her hair and it annoyed her to the point that she began to wind it back around her free hand idly until it was off the ground enough that she was able to step forward with trampling all over it. She kept General-Queen Laurelite at both a physical and mental distance as she looked at her.

"Tell me all." Everything she needed to know. Unmannerly as it was with her bad English, she wanted to prove her place here and be useful any way she could.

So the girl was observant enough to recognize the power signature difference without needing it explained to her, and had enough self-control to not completely ignore it. That was something.

"I am General-Queen Laurelite," she answered. "I trust you will have the sense to address your superiors with respect. And just so we're clear... your superiors are going to be everyone in the Negaverse who is not also a senshi." A smile. It was cold and insincere. "You will be able to come here yourself when you are able to teleport. However, that requires you to increase your power level more. Senshi who are worth our time should be able to reach their second level one month after being recruited."

Collected and efficient, indeed. There was no reason to approach the facts with any flare, as they presented their own nature well enough when spoken concisely. And while Laurelite could be somewhat personable and approachable at times, she had no interest in extending such luxuries to a senshi.

"It's good that you're curious, Nickeline," she noted, regardless. "We might be able to do something to repair the unfortunate mistake that you are. But before I begin, tell me... what do you know about what you are?"

If there was a bit of a blank stare on Nickeline's face it wasn't because Laurelite was a complete ice queen but because she actually was actually trying to figure out just what her superior had said. Superior on the other hand was another story all together. What was with this woman picking the largest of the English words she could think of. It all sounded like gibberish to her. Especially the first part: General-Queen. She tried to decipher it quickly, trying to understand what was in front of what she assumed was the name. 'General' at least came out with one of the right meanings but somewhere along the way 'Queen' had gotten completely mixed up. Somewhere along the line the title of honor and superiority had turned Laurelite into an all purpose herb.

"Huh."

Blahblahblah, unfortunately it seemed Nickeline had even less attention for English than she did Greek. It didn't really show, but all Nickeline was hearing was something similiar to this: I trust you with respect. Your something makes no sense are going to be everyone not a senshi. She didn't need to properly understand the vibes and the looks the all purpose herb Laurelite was giving her though. On and off like a bored child with the remote, the mute button was clicked repeatedly as interesting versus boring things were said. She could hear it all but somewhere in her head part of her was just going: blahblahblah get ******** stronger.

Challenge accepted.

She was looking at the all purpose herb with intent, curious about just what about her was broken. Had she misunderstood that word? No no, she was pretty sure that's what it meant. It was one of the first words she'd looked up just in case she got into a fight and ended up the hospital. It would be very nice to know if they said something was broken and needed repair. She'd also learned leg, arm, ankle, wrist, and various other bodily parts... just in case. In the end, she couldn't have been mistaken but the all purpose herb definitely was because she was Nickeline and she was ******** awesome.

"No..." it sounded like she was going to say something else but in the end it seemed she couldn't decide what the proper way to say it was. There was a pause, thoughts brewing in that garbage bin she called a brain. "No details," she finalized. Close enough right?

Laurelite barely even batted an eyelash at the senshi's lack of understanding, but her posture grew just a bit more rigid and just a bit less welcoming. Language barriers were always such a chore. One advantage of working in the United States was that they were rarely encountered anymore, but it seemed that today was just an unlucky day. "You want to know everything, don't you?" she quipped. "If that's the case, you need to be able to understand the details. There is only so much we can simplify, senshi."

With a small, rare sigh, she raised a dainty hand and pointed to herself. "Commander. Boss. General-Queen." Then the hand reached over to point at the corrupted senshi. "Worker. Tool. Weapon," she explained, with generous emphasis on the third word.

"Be a good weapon. Become a Super senshi. Then you can come here yourself," she repeated. "This should take you a month. You will do everything any soldier tells you, but one soldier will be your main boss. Do you understand?"

It was an unlucky day for both of them. Nickeline was quite literally trapped in a place she had no idea where it was located at with someone she was almost certain would much rather attack her than talk to her... if you could call what they were doing talking. Nickeline was certain this woman was just messing with her. She spoke Greek earlier but instead she preferred to treat her like this. It wasn't the best first impression and every second Nickeline was quickly ticking off dollars from General-Queen Laurelite's price tag that was otherwise the value she considered her. Her expression was sour, but a lot of it was a mix of language barriers. Of course, a lot of it was the fact she just didn't like this b***h. She wished the one she met in Greece was here instead.

Her eyes followed General-Queen Laurelite's hand explicitly, cautious every second she stood there with one hand still in a fist while the other remained holding her hair off the floor. When General-Queen Laurelite explained things to her in what she thought was simple and probably nice and insulting, Nickeline nodded her head to her. She wanted her to listen to everyone like a good puppy and bark on command. It wasn't something she really looked forward to and she forced a look down, and then one back up while her eyes shined with something similiar to determination and lies. She'd get stronger, just like she expected her to.

"Yes," she replied when asked. A simple answer for a simple explanation. However, what was really going through her head was something else. She was already relating the word 'General-Queen' to to her previously expressed idea so instead when her thoughts went back to what the woman had said previously she merely added onto it. She was finished translating words in her head and instead she found herself envisioning was something similiar to this:

"Excellent," said Laurelite, expression returning to its normal placidity. That was good enough for a start. It was up to Nickeline's keeper to fill her in on the details, and the General-Queen already had an arrangement planned. Given the senshi's attitude and language barriers, though... well, it would prove to be interesting.

Upon lifting a hand near her face, a small chunk of purplish crystal appeared hovering over her palm, glowing faintly with magic. Her attentions were mostly gone from the senshi from now, instead focused on the strange communication device. "Miss Fortescue," she began coolly into it, "your new assignment has been prepared. Please report to headquarters immediately. I expect you to be in your best form, General."

The crystal was dismissed, and Laurelite assumed a waiting posture worthy of a diplomat. She expected the wait wouldn't be long.

Skye hadn't really done much since being upgraded to general. She had many papers that she had thrown away with plans to kill senshi, oh how she hated them. However when the purple rock started glowing and talking on her desk she was a little surprised, not only by the fact it was talking but who was talking through it. She powered up immediately and Sassolite teleported into the room where the general queen and a senshi seemed to be.

"Laurelite." She bowed her head to her respectfully before looking at the senshi. She hadn't seen her before, a new corruption? Ugh why couldn't they just kill them all ready would make life easier. She gave her a good looking over though and then turned back to Laurelite.

"You said something about a new assignment?" Please don't make her have to look after this senshi. It was a senshi and it was a well known fact Sassolite loved to kill them rather then talk to them. She hadn't exactly welcomed any of the senshi to the negaverse and the DMC... well that was a different matter entirely. She hated them all the same.

Nickeline stood in the room with the General-Queen silently, her eyes looking around the room and then back to General-Queen Laurelite repeatedly. Her tightly clenched fist beside her, she observed with a keen interested as the General-Queen finished dealing with her and began to speak into what appeared to be a rock. What was it exactly? It was a definite conversation piece... literally. It wasn't very long after that thought General Sassolite appeared, Nickeline's eyes falling on her skeptically. Another one huh.

Numbers certainly didn't make a party because Nickeline was starting to get bored standing there ignored like she was. Well, she knew she wasn't ignored because she could feel it. She noticed the looks and the glances, and she knew that her very placement here was being questioned. However, she didn't quite exist in this conversation but she didn't dare turn her back to leave even if she knew how to get out of here. Hopefully they'd finish up shortly before she started using her hair as a jump rope to pass the time. That'd look classy and do nothing but ruin her clean hair.
