"Knock knooock~"
Instead of actually knocking on the door, Freya had hopped up to Lattice's door, her hands filled with gifts, and called out her greeting, in hopes the ghoul was home to answer the door. In fact, she'd asked previously if she'd be home now, and so she was sure that, unless Lattice was a cruel friend who lied, she would be! And she WAS sure Lattice was not a cruel friend who lied.
Therefore, by amazing deduction, she knew Lattice was home! She turned around and rubbed her hip against the door, much like a puppy might rub it's nose against a door it wishes open. "Open up, my darling, I have comes to see yeeeehhh.~"

Lattice was in more or less she'd done her furtive scampering around for errands and other things earlier before Freya would arrive for the visit that had been arranged. She opened the door and greeted the other ghoul with a small smile and blinked a little behind her mask, "Freya~," she said in a tone that actually showed a bit of fondness. She quietly stepped out of the way, "please, do make yourself at home. I know it is not much but I hope you can be comfortable in my room."
Everything about the room said that Lattice has been locking herself up here for a while. Though it was clean it was almost a bit too orderly, too clean.
"May I make us some tea?" She asked quietly.

Freya was fantastically oblivious to Lattice's overly orderly room. She was just so happy to see the ghoul, and she hopped in, leaning over to press a gentle and friendly kiss to her lips, before strutting inside and making herself at home.
"I haven't seens yeh in so long! I hope I'm not bothering yeh with this request, am I? We don't has teh do this today, if yeh'd rather we do it some other day. But I've been primings my leg, just like yeh said!" She held her skirt up, as if Lattice could somehow see it. "All moisturized! And I knows exactly what I wants now, I broughts it with me, and it's much easier than what we thought before."
She'd brought papers with runes on them, written in ink, just for Lattice. "I would loves some tea, ja! But again, yeh tells me if this isn't a good time, okays?"

The kiss was returned with one of her own light and sweet happy to have her friend nearby. She shook her head a little, "Of course not. I love to do tattoos," she said softly as she moved to her small kitchen to start to brew the water for tea, "It will...give me a distraction I hope," she said quietly as she glanced over at Freya observing the exposed (she assumed) leg and nodded a bit, "Very good. I can only hope the ink will cooperate with the vision you have," she said softly as she peered at the ink.
Certainly Lattice could force the ink to do as Freya wanted but it'll be easier if the Valkyrie was emotionally attuned to it. Which she'd felt the runes before on the cloak that Herryk had gifted her but it was a different thing entirely seeing them in ink. Except for one symbol she didn't quite recognize.
Hmm!
"I am sure we will be victorious," Lattice said with confidence as kettle she had on to boil started to steam and blow a low whistle. She set to work making the tea.

Freya loved the way Lattice spoke. "VICTORIOUS!" She exclaimed, pumping her fist in the air quickly. She flopped down on the floor and stretched her legs out, running her fingers up and down the smooth skin of her thigh. Unmarred, but soon to be inked with a permanent reminder of just how important Herryk was to her. She was scared, excited, and nauseous all at once.
It was a great feeling!
"What kind of tea yeh makings, my little darling? And what has yeh been up to lately, that I haven't been able teh sees yehr pretty face so much around?"

Lattice let out a small giggle at Freya's enthusiastic repeat of a word she'd said. It was nice to have company it was ... Lonely sitting here on her own afraid of just about everything that might happen if she set foot out of the door.
"Just a nice light mint tea, it is a very refreshing flavor to have for today," it felt like she needed something refreshing to match the company she had. It made her feel a little better though as she was preparing the cups the Engraver paused at the question clearing her throat a bit she murmured, "I...have been too," she stopped trying to think of a word to use before she went on, "cowardly to wander out my room since the last time I was nearly stolen away back at the maul."
She hated herself so much for her cowardice.

Freya's happy, bubbly exhuberance popped as she realized the reason behind Lattice's absence, and she immediately hopped back up and walked over to wrap her hands around Lattice from behind, fully engulfing her in a hug. Her face planted into Lattice's back, burrowing there and rubbing back and forth.
"Ohhh, Lattice, my Lattice, my darling beloved, why didn't yeh calls me, or texts me, or, or, just.. ohhhh. I am never leavings yeh again."
Was this a promise, or a threat?
I am goings teh stay here with yeh until yeh feels better and I will takes cares of yeh and wash yeh and feeds yeh and do everything yeh needs until yeh walks out that door with me and then I won't lets yeh be alone for a second. I promise. I PROMISE!"
So, a threat then.
"I loves yeh Lattice, I wish yeh'd told me, I would have never let yeh be alones so long.."

She felt warmth just behind her and so Lattice paused carefully and let Freya pretty much engulfed her and let the Valkyrie cover her in affection and love. Lattice felt touched and warmed by her friend's devotion to her - she'd been so used to leaning on her Sister for support, the Engraver was not used to having friends outside of the Manor.
Carefully she placed a hand upon the nearest of Freya's hand and just rubbed her fingertips against Freya's as she spoke up, "I love you as well, Freya. I just...I did not wish to burden others. I've already been such a burden upon my Dear Sister."
Lattice smiled or at least attempted to turning to try and view the shape of her profile, "You help me just...by being you. You and others will help me find my courage again, I think."

"Yeh'll NEVER be a burden teh me, Lattice!" She coo'd, squeezing the ghoul tightly before leaning in and kissing her cheek, then letting her go. "This is what friends do. This is what we will always do! Now." She led the ghoul away from the tea, and sat her down, brushing her hands through her hair. "If yeh've been in here that long.. maybe yeh needs some pamperings before yeh gets teh inkings me up. Maybe I do yehr hair? Or I gives yeh a facial. I don't thinks I will rubs yehr feet though." She giggled and started toying with Lattice's hair, holding it up and flipping locks about in different alternatives of styles.

Lattice smiled a bit at the assurances given to her and let the ghoul squeeze her she took a moment to turn off her stovetop so that the water wouldn't just up and boil away while Freya led her away. Lattice sat down obediently she smiled a bit, "Pampering? That sounds a bit nice. My Sister does many kind things for me, too. She's been very patient but I think it is starting to strain her a little..."
As Freya fussed at her hair she furrowed her brow behind the mask, "What is ... a facial? I have never had one, I do not think."

Freya squealed in excitement. "Then we'll gives yeh one! It makes yehr face feel all shiny and new and.. hmm.. the mask will has teh comes off though. If yeh don't minds it. If yeh do.. well, we can do other things, if yeh'd rather." She brushed her thumb along the top of one of Lattice's hands, and tugged her closer. "Do yeh thinks we should do some of the tattoo first, and then takes a breath and does some pamperings? Or do yeh needs teh do it alls at once?"

Thoroughly educated about what facials are she only paused a moment at the thought of taking off her mask in front of Freya and just about everyone else that wasn't an Engraver. Her brow knitted a bit behind her mask before she said, "I will...Take my mask off for you," she finally said with a small smile. It was just a friend. A dear close friend that loved her and she wouldn't go running around and talking about it to the point that the Elders may find out about the little 'taboo'.
She carefully leaned a bit closer mindful of her own arms and then smiled lightly, "It would be best we did it in parts. We can start now and then we can take a break, it will hurt too much if we sit and do it all at once," Lattice explained being very honest about what was involved in the process. It was hard to make needles repeatedly pushing and scraping into the skin sound like a fun and pleasurable event.
Sure Lattice enjoyed it but she couldn't say as much for others.

"That is what I thoughts!" Freya threw her hands up in excitement. "Okays, let's get some of it done now, and then, we takes a break when yeh says so, and I will mix us up some facials and we will sit and relax and cuddle and talks about the ghouly things! THIS IS GOOD PLAN!" Her hands went up in the air one more time, before she flopped down to the floor and hiked her skirt up all the way over her hips. "Is there anythings I needs teh do to my legs before we begins?"

Lattice uttered a small giggle at Freya's excitement and then began to stand up and flit about her room gathering everything she needed for the tattooing. She would do her best to follow the plan that Freya had wanted but ink had a mind of its own, "The only thing you need to do is clear your mind except for what you feel right now and the ink and I will do our work." She said softly as she set some things down nearby the 'workstation' that Freya had essentially picked out just by flopping down where she was.
"My abilities rely heavily on what you feel and hopefully the runes you drew up for me will be very evident in my work on you today. My Sister usually assists me, she will be sad she missed you and this session," she uttered quietly in a wistful tone. Ah to be like her Twin and not to fear going out anymore. She picked up a needle, "Are you ready, Freya?"

Freya splayed her legs out in front of Lattice and spread them wide, laying down on the ground and settling as comfortably as she could. She looked up at the ceiling, rose her hands up to rest them behind her head, and smiled.
"My body is ready." She announced fiercely. "I am not afraids. Show me whats yeh can do, Lattice."
