Before had been scouting Deus Ex Machina. Well not really scouting per se but more on figuring out which areas of the Hunter HQs were less populated and where lots of people tended to go to or pass through. He wanted, no needed to figure out a good balance between the high traffic areas with the practically deserted ones.
Why? Because, well, he had something special planned for a certain female Lifer. But while Before wanted to do this job alone, he knew he needed an objective eye to deem his work worthy. And so he whipped out his phone and sent a message to Bix.iloveyouDIE Bro, meet me near the kitchen ruins.

Bix was always available for Before. His bro never sent out texts for stupid reasons and if he said to meet him, he would. Maybe he was baking something new? ALWAYS WORTH IT. Bix took a little while, he'd just gotten out of the shower, but it wasn't long before he was arriving at the kitchen ruins and wondering why they were meeting there.

"Bro! Over here!" Before called out. He looked unusually serious as he waved Bix over to where he was standing. Which wasn't too far away from the Mess Hall actually but he was trying to avoid that particular area due to a certain incident involving a ginger Sunny. "Thanks for meeting me here, totes appreciate it!"

"No problem. Hey quick question.. do you think I should cut my hair?" He swung his braid around. It was pretty long but he'd had Madison threaten him if he'd cut it. Gale had trimmed his though and Jordan had shorter hair now.. and he was unsure. Did chicks dig the braid? Did he look good with the braid? He did like it but it was kind of annoying sometimes...
"But other than that, what's up?"

Before was about to explain his plan and situation when Bix made a quick question. Huh. Should his bro cut his hair? The Misty looked thoughtful, canting his head as he mulled over this, "Iunno, I totes think you pull off the braid way better'n I did the 'tail." Then again, to Before, Bix could do no wrong. "But iffin you're going for practicality's sake, mebbe you could tuck it under your coat?" In short Before didn't want the braid chopped off 8CCCCC
"A-anyway, I sorta got this little project in mind. It all sounds good in theory but uh, we totes know theory and practice are two different animals." Before then brought out several Archie comic books wrapped in small plastic bags.

Bix took Before's words to mean 'keep the braid'. It was not the first time he'd heard it and he'd been sort of asking everyone. At this point, he was figuring, the braid would stay. "I like projects and I especially like projects that involve comic books." Bix picked up one of the bags. "Archie huh? Classic. I approve. So what sort of plan could you have that involves me, you and Archie comics?"

"Wellll, um, you know scavenger hunts and stuff, right? See, Story told me that when she was a kid, she wasn't allowed any of this stuff!" Yes, Before felt the injustice to a child being denied the simple joys of comics, "But some of the help hid her these things in places she'd find them and. Iunno. Thought it'd be neat to do that here. Since. Well. This place ain't exactly a 5 Diamond hotel like the Hilton." He began idly scratching his cheek with a gloved finger, "I uh, kinda need help with the hiding part. I dunno if you noticed but, um, subtlety ain't exactly my thing..."

Bix was surprised. It was thoughtful and fun. "That sounds awesome. I will definitely help." He helped him unpack the comics one by one until they had a nice stack. He also stepped back to observe the room and look for good hiding spots. "So you like this girl huh?" Bix gave Before the a sly side-eyed look. "I won't tease you.. promise. I noticed she seemed sheltered too. You know she didn't ever really celebrate Christmas or anything? What's that about?" Bix had some girl news of his own, kinda... but he wanted to hear about Tori.

Teal eyes blinked as Before stared at Bix for a few moments. Then a somewhat shy grin split his face, "Y-yeah, I like her, but like, as a sister!" >.>a "Story's a lot like me. Well not that much like me but I know where she's coming from with the whole over-protective, social-impressions-last kinda thinking with parents. She was like, treated like some sorta doll to show off and they kept her on a way too short leash. I think getting outta her parents' clutches was good for her."
He paused for a moment, as if about to say something but then quickly shook his head. Before then brought out a poorly scribbled map of Deus, encircling some buildings and crossing out others entirely. "I figured best place to start is the Dorms and with a Lil Archie comic." He presented the said issue and then stuck a little sticky note onto it. "Figured we can make the hints to where the next one is when we know where to put 'em."

"Like a sister, huh?" Bix looked skeptical but he definitely understood that Before had finally found someone he could truly relate to. "Yeah I think so too. She seems happier here than she was before. From the little bit that I have talked to her." Bix looked over the map, already plotting where to put things. He wasn't sure how good the clues would be. He didn't fancy himself much of a wordsmith. The clues would probably end up being really easy. "On another note.." He poked Before a bit in the side, because he hadn't yet today and it was funny to watch him wiggle and squirm. "I think I have a crush on a girl." Sooooo maybe if Before dished on Tori-love.. he could dish about his own mystery girl. "It's like a new crush. Like as in.. 5 minutes ago." She'd literally visited right before he'd gotten his bro's text.

Before let out a mild yelp and leaned his entire body away from Bix, giving the taller trainee a theatrical pout for the poke. Whatever else he was going to say next, he decided that it wasn't all that important in comparison to his bro's little announcement. 8O!!!
Immediately he launched questions in rapid-fire, "Omigosh omigosh whooooo!? Do I know her? Is she a Misty? A Lifer? It isn't Story is it?" 8CCCCCC he tried to keep the panic out of his voice with that last question.

"It's totes Tori." Bix stared straight faced at Before for a long moment. Of course he then quickly burst out laughing. "No it's not her. But now I know you tooooootally love her." He teased. "But umm it's actually Molly. Have you met her? She's cute and nice." He turned pink and scratched his head. "But I don't even know her yet. I have to think of something fun to do with her so she doesn't think I am lame. She wants to hang out sometime." Bix looked around the kitchen ruins. "You wanna hide anything here? Probably not if they are going to fix it up right? Want to start moving to our dorm hiding spot?"

"Oh! Yeah! She's a Misty! Did a training course with her. Good backup, that one," he nodded. He also trusted the girl enough not to let slip that their training golem had been a princess version of Before.
"Iunno how long it'll be before they fix this place up, but hiding the first one in the dorm's totes smart thinking!" He nodded, eagerly heading over, "But! We are so not going in anyone's rooms," >C "That'd be like, iunno, invasion of privacy! Mebbe the hallways where some stuff are decorated and junk."
