 Purple and white. It was the first thing Quinn always saw when she got up. She was in the habit of curling up with her tail ending up over her head and drapping in front of her eyes. Flicking her tail she giggled as she stretched out while laying down. Her mane flopped down in front of her eyes she brushed it aside while she blinked still getting used to the morning light. Her hind legs pushed up while her front legs stretched forward while yawning, before she forced herself to her feet completely. She had slept much later than she had originally intended. It wasn’t a bad thing, but it wasn’t a good thing either.
Padding forward her tail brushed against the stone floor of the cave that she was living in. It was bare and boring, but that never really bothered Quinn. After all if she wanted excitement all she had to do was look outside. Everything was so interesting out there. She smiled as she thought about going to explore today. She always met the most fascinating foxes while exploring.

 Orin sauntered between the trees, looking around this new area he had landed in. It was rather pretty, though there didn't seem to be many foxes about. This particular characteristic of the surrounding area made the male Phim itch to leave. He definitely liked company to being alone.
Orin sighed and shook his head. How was he going to meet new gorgeous foxes if he stayed in the same places all the time? He wouldn't. Still, seeing someone that he was familiar with would be very welcome by now.
Fast on the tail end of that thought, a scent reached the blue and black Phim and he paused in his stroll. Nose to the wind, Orin grinned and altered his path to follow the scent. Quinn. She was a sweetheart. And she was close. Orin picked his pace up to a quick trot.

Having decided to go see what the day would bring for her Quinn left the cave. She took a deep breath of clean fresh air. It was light and air was little colder than she liked it to be. Oh well that just meant that she would have to find a nice warm patch of sun to warm up in. She liked that a lot, almost as much as she liked to listen and watch other foxes. Smiling she started to walk. The opening to her den was surrounded by trees so she had to walk a ways before she could find a spot that had a big enough patch of sunlight for her to bask in.
Yawning loudly she took a second to shake her head. That was the only bad thing about sleeping late. She would be tired all day and up all night. Still if the sky stayed clear she would be able to look at the stars and moon which were always nice to see.

Orin found his way to a cave that was quite obviously Quinn's home. "Quinn?" He called, not wanting to just wander into her cave uninvited and unexpected. When a voice wasn't forthcoming Orin peeked into the cave to see it was empty. Hmmm.... Looking around, he spotted fresh tracks.
"Well, there's a bit of luck. I'd have to sit here like an idiot all day if she had flown off." Orin said to himself, his tail thumping the ground in an expression of happiness. He trotted along the path of the tracks before he caught a glimpse of white and purple fur through the trees. "Quinn? It's Orin!" He called, hoping she could hear him.

Freezing in place after hearing a voice, Quinn’s ears flipped back and forth trying to locate the sound like a rabbit she once watched for a few hours. Having decided that the voice was behind her she stood up on her hind legs and kept her forelegs close to her chest as she turned. She couldn’t quite see completely through the foliage but she swore she had heard the voice say it was Orin. “Orin? Hi!” She spread one of her wings out and then closed it again in greeting. Then having turned all the way around she dropped back down to all fours. She was wondering if he really was behind her of if she had misallocated the sound. Oh well either way would be interesting. Smiling she started to trot to where she thought the voice was coming from.

Ah, good, the white flash was her. Well, unless he had spotted an albino deer, his chances of it being her had been pretty high in the first place. Orin loped forward, trying to keep the white in front of him. Quinn was moving at a bit of a diagonal, but it was pretty easy to track her. "This way Quinn. A little to your right." Orin called out, amused.

Quinn changed her direction fairly easily and headed more to her right. She was interested in seeing Orin again. “On track now?” She didn’t alter he speed at all. If she had turned to far then Orin would correct her. If she was on course than she’d run into him sooner or later, well not literally but figuratively. Running into him literally might hurt one of them and that wouldn’t be good. Her tail waved behind her as she weaved through the trees.

"That's right, doll. You're perfect." Orin called back, still heading towards her. He stepped around a tree and smiled at Quinn. "Hey there. Hope you don't mind that I dropped in. Actually, to be honest, I didn't even know you were around until I stumbled onto your cave." He grinned, flexing his wings as he looked the female Phim over. "You look tired, sweetheart, long day yesterday?"

Stopping short suddenly she couldn’t hide the grin that spread over her face whenever she saw Orin. Shaking her head quickly she caused her hair to flop about. “Nope I don’t mind. Sorry I wasn’t at my cave or I could have shown it all to you.” She stuck out just the tip of her tongue. “Nope I’m not tired at all. In fact I only just woke up a bit ago. The only thing about yesterday was that it was so boring.” She stretched out a bit.

Orin returned Quinn's grin, which turned into a fond smile when she flopped her hair about. That was so cute when she did that. "No apology necessary, sweetheart, you didn't know I was coming any more than I did myself. And you can always give me the grand tour later." he said, his smile heading back into grin territory.
"Yesterday was boring? Well, I'm here now, hopefully I'll be less boring than whatever happened yesterday. I will try my best to entertain you, sweetling." Orin told her, wondering how he could go about that. His stomach gave a little, embarrassing noise. Orin chuckled at the sound and shook his head. "But first, I think it may be time for breakfast."

Grand tour? That sounded like something interesting. She’d have to use that phrase more often. The noise that Orin’s stomach made was funny. She giggled. “Yeah breakfast sounds like a good idea.” She was tempted to reach a paw out and bat at the aura around Orin. So she did so. It was so odd to see a glowing fox. Orin’s very presence was amazing to Quinn so she liked being around him. “Animal, vegetable or mineral?” Her tail wagged as she asked her question. She was debating on what kind of thing to find for Orin’s breakfast. Depending on what he picked she’d start the hunt. She knew a few good spots to dig up plants and a few spots that had interesting edble things that weren’t plants or animals.

One side of Orin’s mouth twitched up in a quick smile when she giggled at the gurgle his empty stomach had made. He didn’t take offense, she wasn’t laughing in any derogatory way. Besides, her giggle was cute. And obviously he had a secret sappy side when it came to this Phim. He held still and raised his eyebrows at her when she batted at his glow, and made it flicker a little, just for fun.
“Hmm, animal. I rarely stray from meat, though I don’t mind a berry or two when they’re in season.” He didn’t think he’d ever eaten a mineral? He wasn’t opposed to trying it, though. His motto was that he’d try anything once. “What is a mineral, and what type of food qualifies as such, sweetling?” He asked.

.Eeeieee! The glow it moved! Quinn was amazed by it and wanted to keep playing with it. She flicked her paw at it a few more times. Watching it with rapt amazement. Her purple eyes danced with merriment that matched the sparkles in her coat. Her tail wagged and her ears quivered as her attention was on Orin. “Oh I eat most anything I can that doesn’t make me sick, at least I try it once. If I don’t like it I won’t eat it again.” She gave him a proud look for knowing something that he didn’t. “There are some white looking rocks that you can lick or chew on that taste pretty good. They crunch really easily too. I found them before mixed in the rock in a cave and at the base of some cliffs. It tastes like the ocean water does without the water part.”
